I have not bought a bumper yet! Aaarrrggg! Good tips. I have ordered a M2C racing chassis due to the stock chassis bending too easily. Going to install new bearings when I swap chassis.
The first thing I did was replace the chassis with the M2C Racing Chassis and replace the plastic braces with HR aluminum so that it will not flex and cause most of the problems that you just mentioned.
Ok cool. Thanks for the response. Those would be the 4.0mm shock shafts. The Kraton, typhon, senton, and talion V3 all have 4.0mm shafts. The outcast V2 also has 4.0mm shafts. Thanks for sharing that upgrade. I break my rod ends every now and then.
Hey man, I will try and do something about that for you, np. But until then basically the only reason to do so is to be able to get more speed and power from the car and prevent overheating with the higher speed. On the high speed pinion the stock motor overheats easily on off road conditions. With a better motor and esc you can go beyond that without so many issues with heat. The stock setup is fast and powerful but if you want more without problems then getting a castle system or something else would be advised.
Simply the best intro music ever for an RC channel! Yo, I ain't here for the money, I ain't here for the fame Though it might be nice to own a jet-plane I'ma do it all for you, come along you'll see it's true But the road is pretty cold, you might need a sweater too
I’m glad you saved face on this video to some degree. I did watch the other video first where you were basically talking about rebuilding way more!! I too was thinking to myself WTF I thought these things were supposed to be strong out of the box. So thanks for pointing out or digressing here, Even though I really do appreciate the details and the level of care you put into pointing out so many things. I’m sure all are valuable. I do appreciate the level of detail you offer, for this you have a new subscriber here. Have you seen the 2019 Kraton? It comes with a support beam already installed as well as numerous other upgrades. What can you tell me about this addition to the arrma family? What are the key upgrades needed here, Now that the factory seems to have listened to some of its users? Your newest subscribers are probably going to have this 2019 version now. Thx
Can you just order traxxas part number 5525 the long rod ends and use those? Or Are the Traxxas plastics not strong like the rpm ends. So the only reason you buought the traxxas pack 5347... is for the balls? Are the balls in 5347 the same as 5525?
The rpm products are very good much better plastic, yes I buy the traxxas ends just for the balls. I do not know about the difference between the two part numbers I don't have time to compare right now
I'll be upgrading the barings in my V4 Kraton for ceramic barings. They're not that expensive and are the best you can get. I bought a JX servo 21kg of torque for under £20. it's awesome but cheap so I'm expecting it to break but the question is how long is it going to last? Doesn't matter because I can buy 6 of these to one of the ones you bought 🤣 On the V4 the steering rod ball ends have been improved massively and do not pop off anymore although the actual rod IS the weak point now. The plastic doesn't break the bloody rods snap believe it or not 😱 since when has plastic been stronger than metal? Maybe Arrmor should have made the whole steering rods out of the same plastic they make the rod ends out of because they are seriously tough bro. Chassis braces are the first parts to upgrade as you don't want the chassis to bend. The plastic braces are tough but not as tough as metal.
Have had a notorious 6s v4 for about 6mnths now and finally had to replace the servo. It is being warranted out but will eventually buy a better servo as the one that comes in the the 6s is rated for a 1/10 vehicle. Seriously? No wonder everyone is replacing servos on the 1/8 and larger. Also reading that if you buy a 6s it's really rated for 4s and 8s is rated for 6s with all the parts and to make it run on the batteries rated for, you HAVE to upgrade to keep from overheating and breakage. Even the typhon 3s needs metal gears in front and rear diff. And as much as we pay for these things, they can't add the smallest bearing in the servo saver. In 1/10s they have plastic bushing and in 1/8s have metal bushings which rub and grind and cause wear and tear and in the manual recommends bearings (in fine print at the bottom of the page in the saver top and bottom. When people get bearing sets they don't even know what the smallest bearings are for.
Im looking to get a kraton soon. I'm also hearing that there is a slight delay with the remote. What is a good upgrade remote for the Kraton? How easy is it to sync the new remote to the stock kraton?
Great video,I have two kratons and an outcast and totally agree with what you say here! Thumbs up and subbed!
I have a v5 kraton 6s and my #1 recommended upgrade would be the servo. Replace the servo guys!
What servo would you recommend?
Good call on the rpm rod ends. Thanks.
My servo hasn’t failed, but it definitely doesn’t steer. Going with the savox, I’ve never had problems with my other savox servos
Get the 1210sg then
I recommend either of these

Servo is my number 1 replacement! Thanks for the other options.

Great video... Bought a Notorius V4 and I
like to know what diff oils to use for best perfomance.
I used 500k middle 60 front and rear
Awesome video!! On the rpm part for the shock rod ends; will those fit the 3.5mm or the 4.0mm shock shafts?
Whichever one is the kraton v3

@@Jonathan-bk7gs if you use the rpm rod ends and don't over tighten them they won't usually break unless really bad wreck
Which balls would go in the shock rod ends?
@@joov80 the stock arrma balls fit.
Jeremy can you talk about motor and esc upgrades for ARRMA Talion 6s...and why???

What diff fluid do you recommend for the rigs?
I have other videos about that, but I normally run 80k 500k 80k for bashing. helps allot with the high power these cars make
Jx 20kg servo is a beast for the price 15$
good ideas man. Love my Armma rig.
Traxxas rod end 1942 is what you got listed but in the video you shared traxxas part 5347. Just curious which one I would need?

Nice video I jus got a 6s outcast
also i didnt think the stock servo was that bad, but i put a savox in and love it. i think its a 1230 and i waterproofed it my self.
If i run the just bash it or m2c chassis do i even need aluminum chassis braces? For my outcast.
Love the title/thumbnail! 😅👍👊
thank man love you!
A lot of good info there. Can I have that servo?
You can buy one from amain but im using mine =p
good quality motor heat sink with dual high speed fans keep mine on 6s w 14t pinion never burns my finger when i touch the can, so id say its fine
Nice music :) what about the servo mount? People say upgrading it saves the stock servo
So the PTK370TBL Servo is compatible with all of this Arrma rc's, including the NOTORIOUS 6s?
Yes it is, all those 6s from arrma use the same servo for 1/8 scale cars
Thanks for watching please sub!

Definitely get the shock ends. I had a stock one come off on my first run. Rpm bumper too
How have you ever had issues with the stock esc?
Only issue I had was getting it wet its not waterproof
