    If you put them in lost mode they will ping off of other phones supposedly

      Yep, that's true! I talk about that feature in the full review I did on my website (the link is in the video description). That won't come in handy though if your pet gets lost out in the middle of nowhere

    Hmm interesting review. I notice that the tracker doesn't give any detail until you are about 15 ft (or less) from the target.

      Yeah, I wasn't especially impressed with how well it worked. While it might be okay for people wanting to keep track of their cat within their house or back yard, I wouldn't recommend it for use out on hikes or other adventures

    My question is , i live in a crowded area, so there’s lots of phones all around, and my old cat got stolen, and i got the airtag to keep track of the new one , will it alert ppl that theres an airtag while my cat is walking on the streets?and pol are in their houses?

    I live in a village of about 300. I have an airtag on my cat. It pings about every 4hours or about 2x a block so i cant tell where he is exactly but can tell hes in the area moving about.

    You need to hold the phone up to allow the camera to look around. It uses AR to locate.

    Is the cat actually on the move while tracking?

    If you live in the city then good but if you live in the mountain or a place where there’s not a lot of people passing by or no cellular internet then not good.

    I prefer the Samsung SmartTag as it has a range of 120 meters (393 feet).

    Definitely a good test and a good insight in your review as well.
    I think this device may be more suited if you have a cat in a city or town moving outside, leashed or not, because if it gets lost there, chances are users with apple devices to ping are plenty around to give you a general idea of where your cat could've gone, no?

      Probably! I haven't tested that feature, so I can't speak to how well it works, but hopefully that would be the case!

      @@kittycatgoadventures Totally crap test, airtag works with BT not cellular conection....

      @kittycatgoadventures  Рік тому +1

      @@lockupl Yes, I am aware that it works with BlueTooth. I never said that it works with cellular connection

      @@kittycatgoadventures So why do you mention that your connection is great when its got nothing to do with it... Pointless information, which may be missleading. Most important things are... How to check where cat is (not within your garden but further away - because thats when you really need air tag), How your cat may react to beeping/vibrating tag? When does it happen? (i assume when your cat stays at strangers house/range - which is somebody elses 'apple-home'). Other than that, people know how BT tags work and checking it against your/your husband phone which i assume both are within its 'home' is pointless. Get the tag to your friend who owns iphone, 5 miles away and tell what happends then... Maybe im pain in the as. but this is the info i would like to get if i was about to apply tag to my pet. Think about it if somebody wants to track you without your knowledge how is he getting info abour your location and what happends when you get back to your place....

      Basically what i want to say is... if it works on BT its obvious that you need random Iphone within your cats tag range to report its position. Question is how fast does it take to upload its position (i heard 5-10 mins after it connects with iphone with internet connection). If its your own Iphone - you will always see it as "near you" if its somebody else iphone you have again 2 options: 1'st -is this iphone just passing by and reported on the tag (which is what you really need, cos it reports your tag location 'incognito' and leaves last know location of your tag) or is it iphone that is actually sat in its own 'home-zone' and it will fire alarm to its owner that there is an air tag at his property which is not registered to him.... What happens then? (i believe depends who was the person who got alarmed.... but one of the options is to 'call' the air tag which sets alarm on it - would you like to be lost and have a vibrating choker attached to your neck? these are questions i would like to know the answers to so i could comment on this video: "Definitely a good test and a good insight in your review as well."
