I love these daily snippets of information. Even if I can’t practice them straight away, they get stored away in my little grey cells and all add up. Thank you!
Sure, I’d agree with that depending on which era you’re discussing. Young George benson didn’t really do the scat thing while singing but for sure he did it lots when he became more pop. He’s a great player, no doubt
Interesting. Thanks. I had a vague and distant memory of seeing or hearing an interview with GB where I thought he mentioned adding a 6th to his octaves. Have you heard that, or am I just dreaming?
@@NickGranville Like I said, Nick, I'm honestly not sure. Maybe I heard it or remembered it wrong. Quite possible. But either way, it stuck with me for some reason. And, to be fair, I have never listened to and explored his playing to the level you have, so I should probably just shaddup! LOL.
All good mate. Yeah, he’s a wealth of great licks and phrases. Esp his stuff when he young like cookbook. Some of the later albums got a bit cheesy, but even then still had some good playing on them

Many thanks!
Superb Again Nick.👌
Thanks! 🙂
Love the sound of that Ibanez... MmmMmmmMmmmm... Sweet and smooth.
Thanks! It is a sweet instrument. Cheers
Thank you for this. Great playing and very helpful insights
Thanks! This video was part 1 in response to your comment about wanting to know some GB stuff
Thanks for that Nick - will try experimenting with some of those concepts on the keyboard :-)
Cool!
Groovin'
Always trying to. Thanks
Nice vid. I do think part of GB sound and style is in large part of his vocal accompaniment and thought pattern.

Hi Simon. I’m not sure about adding the 6th but maybe. I have heard GB play 6th intervals so maybe that’s what you mean?
