Hi Bob,this brings back memories for me.Back in 1968_1969 we had a London to Sydney Ford Falcon rego KAG002 in our local Ford showroom. I was well known to the dealership as I used to go to the showroom regularly. All those cars that competed in this rally were magnificent machines including your car which I think finished first.A couple of years ago Fay and myself were in the Outback of Australia and as we were leaving a fuel stop you would not believe KAG002 was pulling into the fuel stop. 50 Plus years later, it was like Christmas. I know there was so much detail in your model car, and you have done it proud. It looks just like the original.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it ! 👍

Very nice Bob 👍🏻🏁 Reworking those inner fenders was a good call for those better wheels and tyres! Thanks for the mention...it’s a mouthful I know... just Pops will do! 😁 Blessings on your house from ours here in Canada 🇨🇦👍🏻

Hi Bob never think you are letting people down, when you are able to put another video up we will be here, take care of your self and your better half Paddy
Thanks Pat` I`ve had a lot to deal with in the last few weeks so it's been difficult to find the time to get anything done to upload , will get back to normal soon hopefully .
Stunning job great transformation .
Thank you! 😊
Superb, you know I had that car as a kid and I’m sure the wheels caught the wheel arches maybe a design fault Bob ,my grandad had a Hunter estate in white fast bugger well my grandad like me later was a Royal Mail driver ,take care all the best Mark 👍🏻😊
Super spiffy-looking restoration Bob! Your paint jobs are always the best, finished smoothly and not thick at all. You are able to do so much with the most basic of tools and that to me says you've got the mad skillz. Love the choice of wheels: the concentric circles are aesthetically pleasing and look most like they belong with the car. I'm dismayed that you had spent so much on the other ones. Anyway, all the details and little doodads on this car has made this my current favorite. I can imagine myself as a kid wanting one of my own, complete with toolbox. Anyway, sorry for blabbing your head off - this would have been longer if I hadn't applied brakes to my own post. Oh, and my hubby says, "I really do enjoy watching Corgi Bob!" Cheers and hope Mrs. Bob gets well soonest. God bless you both and stay safe!
Blab on as long as you want 😄love reading your comments 👍
@@BobWilliscorgi Thanks for this and the mention Bob, as always. Your videos and talks bring joy! :D
@@BobWilliscorgi Oh Bob, I forgot to answer your question about which i was referring to when i wrote "not thick at all" - i meant the coats of paint lol :D
Beautiful job Bob, really came out looking like new again, pain in the arse with the wheels but you sorted that ok, I really love this model, been looking myself for one but as you say they are pretty expensive. Love the box and nice touch getting the old kangaroo, really super restoration Bob👌👍😊
Hope your Mrs gets well soon, spoke to Ian a couple of days ago, pass on my good wishes to her, all the very best to you both, Nick.
Thanks Nick 🙏

Top work as always Bob, certainly not the easiest model to undertake with all the small details and Golden Jacks. Very sorry to hear Mrs W is poorly, I really wish you both my best wishes to get through your current health challenge. In my experience the Drs and their teams come through in the end. God bless you both and keep strong, you’ll both weather the storm. See you soon. Col 👍
This came out great. Looking forward to your next video. After that, enjoy a well deserved summer break. Continued health and happiness to you and Mrs. Bob.
Great result again as always.
Kind thoughts to you and Mrs Bob for improvements in her health.
Regards, Keith.
Hi Bob, good to see you.
Great resto, but those repo wheels sure were a mess, I couldn't believe how wobbly they were. It was a good thing your friend had a set to send you, and your fine tuning on the wheel openings turned out nice.
Just a side note, for some reason UA-cam had unsubscribed a few of my channels.
Not sure what that was about, so if you see an unsubscribe, it wasn't me..lol.
Close to 3k, I can't remember what it was when I started hanging around.
Looking forward to the next one, maybe it will be at 3k, and you can have a bit of a break. Loving the restos and loving the yap.
Cheers, Robert (yes it is a good name 👍)
Hello again Bob just wanted to thank you for the tip on the Australia repro Batman and Robin figures. Just sent off for a set they look great keep well regards Glyn

Keep up the good work!
Excellent resoration ive 2 of these to restore ive just not got around to starting any restorations yot those golden jacks you used were for the rolls royce silver shadow those golden jack wheels do turn up from time to time if you wanted to you could put the original type on ive also got the corgi ice cream van excellent copy ive also got the mini monte carlo and that is excellent as well they have also reproduced the land rover break down truck like the one you restored the saints volvo batmobile and the white ford mustang keep up the good work bob
I’ve not seen the Batmobile in the list? Are you sure you don’t mean the James Bond Aston Martin 261?
Hi Bob a great result this week. I really like the wheels they look like the trims on the later Humber Sceptre and also give it a slightly lowered look. All the best to you both. Ian b.
Top job 👍
Hi bob i received a list last year when i received the ice cream van and yes it definatly shows the batmobile if they are doing the james bond aston martin i definatly want one
Keep your pecker up Bob. Always a worry when the Mrs. is crook. She will be glad of your time and attention. Love your work.
Excellent work Bob as usual, and well worth the money now. Sorry to hear you’re going through a bad time just now I’m still suffering from mine so I can emphasise you, I hope things even out for both of you soon take care. Ps your clocks battery is giving up. 😀
Very nice Bob ! Bit of a fiddle as you said but it really looked terrific . Those wheels really look super as well . All in all a great looking model . Is the London to Sydney the race where Mark Thatcher famously got lost ? ( and unfortunately got found !) Thanks Bob . Best wishes to you and yours .
Super job as always Bob. It looks like new!
Sorry to hear that life is hard for you both at the moment.
Whilst you await improvement in your wife’s health is there anything you need that would make life easier for you?
If yes, then let’s chat by email.
Great job+
hi bob another fantastic job once again and top fix on the wheel arches .come on you lot out there cheer bob up a bit hit that subscriber button for the straight talking devonshire man with the magic spray can all the best to you and mrs bob regards ian.
Like corgi. 302. Hillman. Hunter
Nice result , doesn't look the easiest model to restore . As I understand it when talking about model scales , well 1:1 is full size , 1:32 would be approx 32 times smaller than the actual thing , 1:43 would be approx 43 times smaller and so on . (I think!)
That is my understanding too. So a Corgi 1:43 means that if you measured everything on it and made it 43 times bigger you would have it the size of the actual car.
🤓🤓🤓
Probably my favorite Corgi as I received it for my 7th birthday when it was first released. I actually own a immaculate 1969 Sunbeam Alpine coupe here in the States. Here's a project idea Bob. Why not take a trashed L to S and attempt a Humber Scepter conversion using the Rover wheels since they approximate the look better? What do you think, possible?
If I had the models I’d try anything as anything is possible if you put your mind to it 👍
@@BobWilliscorgi I hope I planted a seed Bob!
The Coles Crane!!!.... that's me Bob sent a couple of month ago!
Thanks Jeff! 👍 I thought it was someone who has previously sent me something, I got a brain like a sieve lately 🙄
@@BobWilliscorgi got too much on your mind bud....
Noice!
Nice work Bob looks great .Yes i sent you that truck but i need it back I will send you my address OK
Ha Ha you’re funny ☺️
Bob regarding your contact in Cornwall who provides repro wheels etc....do you have contact details?....
Hi Jeff , he is only a collector like me and just sells stuff on ebay, not a registered business or anything like that . You can find him on ebay by the name of 00heaven2012
Thanks Bob
The minilite wheels are what should be on the car not what you have put on now the model just doesn't look right or nice at all it is no longer a nice model replica of the winning car .
If you listen to the video a bit more closely you’ll find that I didn’t have any original wheels and the repro set that I bought were rubbish quality and the axle points were not pre-drilled correctly so made the wheels seem buckled, so that’s why I decided to modify the body so that the other set could be used. I realise that they’re not the original type but they are better than what I had at the time.
