- Imbolc Oracles - Unfair Comparison video is a side by side comparison of the Popular Seasons of the Witch Imbolc Oracle and the new very unknown The Magic of Imbolc Oracle. I actually love both of the decks and I'm enjoying using them together. I do feel like although they do have a common thread of Imbolc they are much different decks and I love them both for different reasons. I would love to know your thoughts on these two decks. Hands down yours is very very beautiful. I find the SOTW Imbolc Oracle lovely, and believe me I love that edging. I think they pair very well. I am just in love with the colors of your deck, Sis. From the bottom of my heart and with all my soul, I say this: Your deck is hands down embracing and embodying the energies of Imbolc more than SOTW. This is precisely how I experience that time of year in conjunction with the Earth and divine energies around me. Around the time of Imbolc, I need that light, that hope, that fire to spark me forward instead of introspection (moreso a winter solstice season activity for me), so your deck speaks and resonates with me on a much higher level of where I'm at in my cycles and in my craft. Also, SOTW, even though it is deep, and there are cute little witchy sayings, I much prefer the art you chose, the topics you chose to highlight, and your explanation of said energies. It is much easier to read the messages on your cards, and has more of an adult feel to me over SOTW which has a more nostalgic young witch feel to me. I love the card size of your deck, as well. I just feel more connected into the messages you had, and there were multiple cards in SOTW that I do not vibe with, whereas every card in your deck I found myself nodding and just saying "YES" with my heart and feel you hit the nail right on the head and that your deck feels so complete. You did an amazing job ❤ Thank you for creating and sharing your divine work!!! ❤ You're so amazing!
The coloring, the artwork and the beautiful messages, grabbed my copy, starting with this one. I want one for each sabbat this year as a gift to myself! This will be my first act for next month 🤣Sending you love lady, great walkthrough and comparrison. The more I see the SOTW the more I like the images, I may need to get that one too. I do like them together actually. That casserole in the SOTW looks so comfy and warming, we got 8" of snow. brrr. The syncronicities in the cards were crazy. I think that's why I like them together. I was so surprised at how well they worked together. I will probably end up doing side by side with the other ones also eventually. Yes the SOTW writing is more Yodaish and smaller in print, which does make it more challenging to read for me, however I do love the messages. I know many do not care for the artwork in the SOTW oracles, but I also adore them. I am currently using them together in my practice and I'm loving it. Yes, tough choice between them. Your deck is very beautifully adapted and put together. I agree on the constant beed to check the guidebook issue. Yours is more everyday use, SOTW is maybe a bit more ceremonial IMO.

Oh yes I could definitely see what you are saying. The SOTW does seem more ceremonial, that is a great word for it. There is more depth once you go digging in the book, and mine is more like affirmations and gratitude work. I think that is why they actually work so well together. "Doing a Yoda," LOL. It does sometimes feel like that reading the affirmations in the Seasons of the Witch series. I think your deck and the Imbolc Seasons of the Witch work really nicely together. I can see reading them like you're doing OR selecting cards for daily affirmations that inform each other. Have you done this for any of the other sabbats -- these comparisons, I mean? If so, I missed it. I'd love to see more. I also think it would be fun to do a comparison with one of your decks and The Solitary Witch by Lucy Cavendish. I think they would communicate nicely too. I haven't done this for any of the other Sabbats, but I think I will. I did show the Yule decks together in a pairing, but not a whole side by side video. I am currently working on the Ostara deck also. That shouldn't take me too long to finish that one up. The creator of these decks is just amazing. I love her choices for everything. Oh! My other quibble is your deck missed the traditional shape of Brigid’s cross on that card.
Oh well damn, I didn't even realize that. Thank you for pointing that out darling. I honestly do not know much about Brigid or the cross. 🥰🥰🥰
@@AmethystAscensionTarot no worries - Brigid is my girl. They show a Celtic cross but Brigid has a distinct cross woven from rush reeds that bridges the gap between her as a pagan goddess and a Christian saint. It’s still a very beautiful deck.

Oh I agree that is crazy, but when you do print on demand you can charge more but they do charge a lot if you do not buy in bulk.
Your deck is stunning. I have my decks on MPC with different options for a while now, and it looks like decks with custom boxes although more expensive, but are are more popular. Maybe you can make different options available and see how it goes? Just as an experiment. Thanks Rachele really enjoyed this video
The first few decks I sold all came with custom boxes and still do however I have sold way way more of the ones without boxes because the price margin goes up significantly with the custom box. I have also created options that are no longer available and once you remove those options they no longer show up in your sales. There has definitely been a learning curve with working with MPC. Really makes me wonder why they feel like any deck would have that type of price value attached to it.
I could maybe see an antique deck having a high dollar value but a modern deck, just seems ridiculous to be that expensive .
I understand sweet lady. There are so many factors that one has to take into consideration. Those print on demand places charge money for everything, and the only discounts are when you buy one item in bulk, which most people cannot afford.
Well, for me your deck is the hands down winner, and I have received the copy I bought so I’ve seen your deck firsthand. .I won’t buy the SOTW decks. I don’t find the art in the SOTW decks beautiful, but that’s because I don’t like primitive style art. I also find the color way in the SOTW decks not my cup of tea, and the cards are too honking’ big. It’s a shame because I like their keywords and sayings. Your deck has breathtakingly lovely artwork. My quibbles with it is the ladies could be more age diverse. The cards are an acceptable size though I wish they were the smaller poker size. I wish shipping from mpc was a little more reasonable.
Thank you so much sweet lady. I agree about the diversity, hands down! I also agree about the shipping with MPC. I purchased 3 decks from them all at once to try and lower my shipping and it did a little but for the tiny box they sent them in it still cost me over $30 and I repurposed that same box to ship to Summer and it cost me under $7. It is most definitely frustrating. I understand why people do not buy from there because they are expensive. I understand why independent creators do Kickstarter's because then you can get the better box and features without it costing us an arm and a leg. This depends on how many they are able to bulk purchase of course because it drives the price down. I was even thinking about perhaps doing like pre-order print runs for people in the United States because I could probably save on bulk and shipping, but I just never know whether it is worth my time and effort because not everybody can do it now with the current economy. I promise I will work on trying to get some of my other decks smaller if I can. It is just a matter of finding the time. ❤❤❤

I think yours wins! For me personally and thats not being biased. The art work is more vibrant in yours. It feels more magical to me. I do like the symbols in the other deck and all around it is a great deck. But for me personally i love your deck. The pinecones on the back is a great symbol! That notth star card is beautiful. This really is unfair 😆 thank you for sharing this it is a great side by side. It really proves there is a collective that shares thoughts. ❤
