You people have to remember this was a long time ago when Fightstar was still fresh as a band and still getting a lot talk about the Busted thing. Dan's not exactly the snobbish type he probably just felt a bit awkward being on a pop show. As for Charlie, despite what most people may believe he's not ashamed of his time in Busted or the music they made he's just moved on. The thing here was that he was still trying to distance himself from that band.

It's true that a lot of people who didn't like busted are his fans now, but you have to admit that fightstar wouldn't have gotten the exposure to gain those fans without charlie having made a name for himself through busted. Because of busted, charlie became known in the music industry and that helped fightstar gain exposure. Why else is a hard rock band on popworld for goodness sake? because of charlie's past connections with busted.

I loved his interviews with Busted and despite the fact that I'm still not able to forgive Charlie for leaving Busted, I did enjoy this interview, on the one hand because of Simon bringing up Busted in every other sentence (XD)and making Charlie have to talk about it (even if he did dismiss it rather offhandedly "I don't think about it" - how dare he!)and on the other, it's interesting to see what recognition he's got from the rock genre even though he was in Busted.

Callum ...Avenged Sevenhold dont write decent rock melodies where Fightstar do, bands who just make alot of noise without substance, soul and an ear for a tune annoy me equally as much as Busted if not more so. Fightstar are heavy as fuck when they want to be but equally they know how to integrate softer more meloncholy moments.

If you think about it, Charlie isn't much better in Busted. He is better in Fightstar, due to the fact that he is a lot more versatile.
