In 2017, we made a film about John Moriarty, titled "Conversations with my Godfather; Growing up with John Moriarty" (link below) where we interviewed Tim Robinson, amongst others, about his friendship with John Moriarty.
In this film, we show more of this interview and we also travel back in time to 2007 when Tim Robinson launched John Moriarty's final book, "What the Curlew Said: Nostos Continued" posthumously at the Clifden Arts Festival.
The film includes a beautiful fiddle piece, composed and performed live at the same festival by Irish musician and composer, John Sheahan.

Thank you for sharing this. What I find most amazing is that here is a man (Tim Robinson) who disagreed with John Moriarty in so many ways and yet was clearly so profoundly touched by his life and thought. That says something beautiful and profound about the measure of both men.
That’s hilarious how the introduction was the repeat or overlap of the main content
Nope, wrong Tim Robinson.
An autobiography by Tim Robinson would be v. enlightening as to why he became an atheist. John O’Donoghue- of Anam Cara fame ( rather than ‘eccentric’ genius John Moriarty) would have been a far more persuasive ‘influencer’ of Tim Robinson and his materialist world view.

Isn’t it so beautiful that two people with such diametral differences in points of view were able to be friends?..
Powerful, meaningful & beautiful - thanks for sharing.
Thank you Réamonn, glad you enjoyed it
