I write too much, I try to copy everything that my Professor says or that is on the PowerPoint, and I feel like I still really struggle with content mastery. I have a difficult time trying to differentiate what is important or most important concepts or ideas of the material I am learning about. It’s so frustrating. I’m excited to take what I have learned from your video, and apply it to my current studying. Thank you so much

Thank you for this. I recall in high school a teacher teaching us the method of writing questions while taking notes but it never quite stuck with me. I wasn't writing the right questions in the margins of my notes. Your explanation makes a lot more sense. I learnt from this video that I never learnt truly how to take notes, even during high-school i was doing it the hard way and no one ever showed me or explained to me any other way. This really opened my eyes to how to take efficient and affective notes. This. Changed. My. Life!!!!!!!!!
I told you it took me 6 hours to take notes for 2 15 min Micro lectures last week. This week, it took me 1 1/2 hours to write out the questions and view the material (I read the chapter and PowerPoint slides). It just took me like 35 mins to go through her lecture and answer the questions!!!! That means it can easily take just 5 hours to read the slides/chapter, make questions and take notes for Micro a week! I copied a chart that was important, so it took longer. I am so surprised, thank you for all that you do!! Also, I was really intimated by taking notes for AP even with the slides, but it took me 1 1/2 hours to write questions for over 100 slides, and then I literally spent 5 hours last week writing AP notes. That is such a massive difference from the 2 hours it took me to get through one video!!! I also feel more confident with the material, because I have to think about it and answer questions, and it gives me an overview of what I need to know. THANK YOU again.

I write way too much. As stated in the video. I copy everything that the professor has provided. I grew up in the '90s. I was encouraged to take notes on the text or with colored sticky notes, which worked for me until last semester. Where I began distance learning online. I did horrible. For me personally, I always make sure to look very closely at the mistakes I made in the tests and figure out what the cause was- did I not study enough for a certain topic? Did I misunderstand something? What kind of mistakes were they? So I analyze what I did wrong and try to think about what I could have done better.
And then I basically make sure to practice those areas which I did worst in more than the others, to make sure I won‘t make the same mistakes again.
