    Pune, often referred to as the "Oxford of the East" due to its prominence as a center for education, is a city located in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. It has a rich historical and cultural heritage, dating back to ancient times, and has been an important center for politics, administration, culture, and commerce throughout history.
    Pune is known for its educational institutions, including the prestigious University of Pune and several other renowned colleges and research institutes. The city has a vibrant cultural scene, with numerous festivals, concerts, and events happening throughout the year. Pune is also known for its historical landmarks, such as the Shaniwar Wada, a historical fortification built in the 18th century.
