    OMG, this is so nostalgic for me. I had just started playing bass when I came across this on VHS no less. I wore this tape out watching it, so much of this comes back to the memory, and I can still play none of it on bass, lol.

    Seeing Pattitucci in this era was his transitioning from being a not-so-nice-guy to being a nice guy. I remember meeting him in the late 90's thinking he had a mob near-by and I would get shot if i made any sudden moves. He was REALLY THAT GANGSTA back then. I don't know what changed him, but he is like a saint now. Godspeed, John.

    I saw Victor Wooten at Toad’s Place in New Haven CT! The entire front row of the audience was all bass players checking Victor out! Me too!

    Wooten has all the techniques in the pocket but I can tell its music really comes from his heart. Never imagined such beautiful version of Tunisia. You Victor made me cry. Thank you

    I’ve seen this gentleman so many many times live and on video,the more I understand music the more he amazes me,it doesn’t get old ever ,just more revealing the complexity of his musical layers.This is spirituality expressed through sound!

    Absolutely incredible, this is one of my favorite performances I've ever seen. I have finally seen the Victor Wooten light! Harmonics, slap/thump, tapping, Victor can do it all! And Reggie is excellent, I can't even compute some of what he was doing.

      The amount of strings never mattered. I really hate when players get caught up in that rubbish. Just make music, use whatever you choose. Bill Dickens plays a 7-9 string and I don't think anyone would dare question that guy. Just play music. Victor also uses a tenor bass, ADGC. Basically a 6 string without the Low B & E.

      My teisco bass from the 60s has a microphonic pickup. I played a couple songs from my phone through my guitar amp just by holding the speaker of my phone to the bass end of the pickup. When I get home I'm gonna do the same for this video. Lol
