All the exceptional reasons u provided for buying PLTR resonates exactly my thought processes for adding shares into Tesla back when it started turning positive cashflow, low debt, small cap
TESLA was included in S&P 500 on Dec 2020 and now kicked out of it because of the reasons you can google while Palantir has never been there yet but "about to" get there if it can maintain positive profits. I personally invest in Tesla but trying to say the differences.

I suggest people read Seeking Alphas very comprehensive analysis of Palantir’s performance and quite shady figures. Their main financial man resigned after the report was released. Forward earnings will decline even according to Palantir. My advice - do your own due diligence and be patient before you buy.

You said "the moment they can get their SBC (stock-based compensation) down, they can be extremely profitable".... Compensation is an expense, no matter what form it's paid in, whether shares or cash. Even if all employee compensation were paid in cash, the entire figure would still hit the bottom line profitability. This is BASIC ACCOUNTING.
Not really. The reason SBC hits the stock price is income taxes. They have to pay them, and sell their shares in order to do it.

No thanks just based on the SBC is horrendous. Alex Carpie will be filthy rich way before any shareholder can bring even.
You have competitors totally wrong, this are not even the leaders in mentioned sub categories! BTW I’m working in that space as solution architect, and I can tell you the only company that can be considered as competitor is DATABRICKS. Saying that, I think Palantir has very strong product but relatively unknown within private sector and engineering communities where Databricks has very good traction right now in both.

I think Databricks and PLTR are not direct competitors as they serve different types of customers. Databricks serves engineers, scientists and companies that is looking for a unified platform for data engineering and machine learning. More suitable for companies that wants to deploy these functions fast. On the other hand, PLTR services companies with large amount of data that needs to be analysed to make more efficient operational and business decisions. The services offered by PLTR will be a lot more complex since it serves huge organisations such as Ferrari and the DOD. Just because both companies do machine learning doesn’t always make them competitors. It takes some knowledge to differentiate the companies

I am more concerned about
1. Share dilution , palantir has been notorious for this
2. Massively declining growth. you guys do know they promised 5 years of 30% cagr in sales - latest sales growth is only 17% and it's been only 2.5 years.

It’s the only 10 year seasoned company that turned profitable. I got in at $8 and I added more up j til $15. I don’t have a lot of money and am always fearful. It hit $26 then pulled back to $20 to $21. Palantir is a powerhouse. I am hoping that it will run up due to the geopolitics

How about comparing with SAP? SAP has a product called SAC (SAP Analytic Cloud) which helps enterprises to do data analysis and planning using AI as well.

What are your price predictions for pltr im the short term eg. 3 to 6 months? With AI and tech industries, a lot of capital expenditure is expected to go into R&D, will their capital expenditure increase, will their profits decrease ? Impact on stock price?

Karp just needs to stop being such a wet tissue and focus on aggressive growth and not just the government sector. Need duversification into private and consumer solutions to have the business explode. They already have the product now they just need the scale

Well u dilute more if stock price is cheap. U dilute less if price is expensive.
@@rnegoro1 that is if SBC is given out as a $ value. However, i’m pretty certain that most SBCs are given out in no. of stocks
SBC went down 23% this past quarter. It’s been going down every quarter.

Tesla has tons of competition and high levels of physical capital expenditures. TSLA has to cut price to maintain or defend market share. PLTR has no direct competitor, zero debt, and highly scalable without incurring much physical capex. PLTR does not have to cut prices. It has pricing power.

Tesla Capex is actually amazing when considering how much they are actively investing in growth, they are amazing at keeping cost low. Tesla has no debt and ~20 billion in cash. They can cut cost to aggressively pursue growth, no other "competitor" can actually do this and make a profit in their cars, their ability to cut prices and remain profitable while expanding is a position of power of Tesla. They are world leading in AI and soon robotics. Their batteries have best specs.. and the energy business will one day be as big as the car business. The software component of Tesla will be a money printing machine in the infotainment space. Their supercharger network is a moat and other EV companies will need to pay money to Tesla to allow their inferior product to charge in Tesla networks. They will now get into lithium refinery and will likely disrupt that industry too like they have the car manufacturing business.

Amazing video Adam, hats off, I knew you were a amazon big tech bull but had no idea you were also a palantir bull, fascinating. I would be curious to hear if you feel like in order for palantir to reach milestones of 100bil mkt cap, 200bil mkt cap if you believe it must eat the lunch of any current big tech companies you can think of, because it probably would need to grow outside of just military work and would have to expand more into private business sector and consumer work

Two completely different industries
Palantir will knock Saslesforce off its 2-legged stool.
I think Palantir compared to Salesforce is good comparison, for the reason that there are no better comps. Salesforce has very complex CRM offering, and Palantir has a very complex big data offering. It’s not a great comparison but for a low case scenario, their financials could be used for analysis
