    Obviously, Ram Dass is very articulate and eloquent. However, it was the brilliance of the interviewer that brought out so much information from Ram Dass. The interviewer was so objective and did not try to challenge what Ram Dass was saying. Instead he was genuinely and respectfully attempting understand what exactly Dass was saying and experiencing. Very rare to see such level of integrity now on TV.

    Levin does a fantastic job asking all the relevant questions without any personal judgements. So let us complement him for 'playing his part' so damn perfectly.

      Satyajeet Prabhu I agree he did nicely asking that which he asked. However, there are questions he could have asked which would have been much more relevant.
      One thing I have learned in being a student of the world is this; if I knew all the relevant questions to ask about a subject, I would already have mastered it; when you go to a teacher with a whole host of questions it means that their first task is to sweep away all preconceived notions you already have, such that they can actually begin to teach you.
      Thus, whenever one meets with a teacher and wishes to learn all that they can teach, the first question the student should pose is "Sir, what questions should I be asking during our time together?"

    Levin: "Do we all need a teacher? Do we all need a guru?"
    A funny thing happened in the last 10 years... UA-cam became my guru. Thanks to videos like this one, which were, for all intents and purposes, unaccessible to me before UA-cam.

    My own transformation happened while serving time in federal prison. I spent half of my sentence living through my ego, the other half of my sentence finding ways to reduce it. Once I dropped it, I found reasons to spend time in solitary to go even deeper into myself.
    I often explain to people how ironic solitary is. The state uses it as a punishment, but in reality it is an incredibly useful tool for self-realization and spiritual development. I probably would have left a monastery if that was the transformative place for me in an alternate circumstance. Being locked behind a door gave me no choice but to continue the deep dive and deal with demons that became very small and insignificant.
    Solitary gives the prisoner space to fully realize himself, time for self reflection, and hours of daily meditation. Some prisoners use it similarly as I did.

Thank you Ram Dass 🙏 Rather thanks to Levin for asking these questions. Like they say, Bhagvat Geeta could not have come into existence if Arjuna hadn’t asked so many questions to Krishna.

      The fundamental question that we should be asking ourselves is why we should continually choose to reincarnate ? The answer is that seemingly we become addicted to Lila - the play of forms - and choose to stay on that reincarnation 'hamster-wheel'. But to what end ? How many times do we have to go through the cycle before we understand that we have the choice of stepping-off between incarnations ?

    • @valentinaraujo6347

      Peter Marshall I recently seen drunvalos worshop and he mentioned that our ascended masters from this time on to keep climing densities further 13th dimension where our reality disintegrates to change human conscience for the better. Bottom line is we will not even have the option to reincarnate back to physical forms, I recommend you to watch some of his Q&A videos on his youtube channel. Thanks for reading, namaste.

    • @staticexistence5364
      @staticexistence5364 10 років тому +3

      Peter Marshall I feel there is purpose to the continuous reincarnation. As Ram Dass said in the interview, it is like "the one," God/Source whatever you want to call it, getting to know itself through the many. Ultimately perhaps there will be a unification between Lila and Source, where the play of forms continues with it's inherent perceptions of individuality, but combined with the inherent oneness of Source.

RD, psychadelix and arduous Lakota ceremony taught me to let go more and more of who I was born as so that I could become the being I was meant to evolve into - the one I was meant to be before I was born, so said alan watts - nice phrase isn't it - the REAL you, who you REALLY are - the one before you were born.
