The "Trash catalogue" is the best item because you can now trash your farm to make it look like a run-down farm. You can get this item from trash cans.
For mushroom logs, mystic trees with moss on them produce the most purple mushrooms with the highest quality. The mushroom log checks an area of 7x7 tiles around the log for trees.
If you leave a truffle on your farm unharvested, you have a chance for a crab to "infest" the truffle (similar to rock crabs) killing this crab usually drops 3 truffles and can drop an additional crab, as well as (very rarely) truffle oil (with burglar's ring on). Seems only one crab can spawn each time though... but it's consistent enough in my testing.

It's cheaper than most books and helps you gauge the value of your products much more effectively than the new collections feature that shows only the base price. I use this trick on days when I need a quick cash grab and sell directly at Pierre's or Willy's.
I would add, that using mini forge is nice way to upgrade tools from home, without going to Ginger Island. If enchantment roll wrong, you can always quit without saving and start again with different combination, just by your bed.

6:20 actually easier way is to get very lucky and have the farming mastery statue that makes 3 first fishes to be easier and hope that the first 3 fishes is the legendary fish.
Guys theres a new bug if you fished up a gold treasure chest or normal one and let's say the fish is a carp if you get carp bait and fish again you will get a new treasure chest every time 2:02
About the new mysteries, today I saw a big rat and mouse creature that I haven't seen before in the game, I wonder if you can research about it and what kind of easteregg it is, I saw it at the bus stop on my way to town, just like how we got the magnifying glass item in winter the first year. As soon as it saw me it ran away and I chased after it but there was no sign of it.

That's only true for the fruit trees you buy at Pierre's (and the two you obtain on Ginger Island). It's always been an option to plant oak/maple/pine/hardwood as close to other things as you wish.
you're 100% wrong. go try and plant a maple, pine, oak, mahogany directy next to another fully grown tree. it will never reach full size. in this clip he has multiple fiddlehead trees next to eachother, or maybe it just llooks that way.

I really want a better way of sowing, maybe there is one but it's locked behind end game content, which is quite silly, it ought to be available mid-game instead. I also feel a bit overwhelmed now, like there is too much to do and the days goes by so quickly. I would also have liked to see the kids being made more meaningful. But y'know, small gripes for so much free content.

1.6 was such a great update, it’s much bigger than 1.5 and I’ve been playing Stardew a lot more on a new farm

I wouldn’t say 1.6 is bigger. 1.5 had the same similar amounts of new items, weapons, etc. but 1.5 also added a new area, I gigantic one at that.

Challenge bait + trout derby + fish smoker = insanity. I caught 76 fish in roughly 6 in-game hours
