  • So I finally was able to put my Logan Graphics Mat Cutter to use. This is my first attempts at using it and also the cut for my first project. It's super easy to use and the results are great! #CustomFraming #Framing #Hobbies

Hi Rico, enjoyed your video, especially when you hit problems, we learn a lot more when things go wrong than when they are always perfect. One thing I noticed about your technique on the Logan Cutter which was different to some other videos and instructional videos from Logan - you were situated at one end of the cutter and pushing away from yourself. In other videos, they seemed to have the cutter on a table, and were standing sideways on, near the measuring bar, central to the cutting bar. I noticed you were having a bit of a hard time as you approached the end of each cut. Try turning the cutter 90 degrees anti clockwise to the way you used it in the video and see how it goes? The other guys seemed to have it much easier when cutting from that position. Thanks again, I had no idea how to do double mats so I have learned that idea from you. :)

Thanks so much for the advice! That's not something I noticed. I also had a small space to work in. I am moving to a new space soon so hopefully I will have the proper area to work in. Cheers!

@@Rico.at.50 I took delivery of my own Logan cutter just over a week ago, and ruined one or two mats in minor ways, not cutting deep enough, cutting too deep and snagging the blade, and slight overcuts to corners. It took a while but now I am cutting double mounts easily.I've noticed that if the mat is 20" or longer, standing to the side is much better as you have more movement flexibility. On small mats, it doesn't seem to matter as you can reach from one end. Glad I got to try that out myself! Thanks again.

@@autofocusrossswansea9362 Happy you are working it out, congrats! Thanks for the heads up! I actually have a really huge project, dimension-wise that I am going to be doing next month, so maybe we'll see how well that goes. Cheers!
