I went against my gut here, as part of me believes Michigan State will play the Buckeyes close. However, the analytics and rosters say Ohio State should win in a blowout, and I think they will.
MSU has the potential to keep it close. At least for the first half.
If they can just block and not turn the ball over, they’ll at least make it competitive. MSU has the talent at least. They’re just sloppy. Coming from an MSU fan lol

Most of these BIG run plays on the OSU defense is on the 2nd and 3rd teamers and QB run up the middle which OSU didn’t care to stop they had the game why risk a huge pass play when you can force the escape artist QB from Marshall to run down the middle and waste time. I hope MSU can keep it close and scare OSU they sippin the rat poison, or truly believe they are destined to win it all those teams are scary. Jeremiah Smith is the fastest player in cfb lol dude gets an inch he’s gone. It depends on how MSU plays. MSU is very capable of turning the ball over 5+ times in this game. That would lead to a 65-7 victory for OSU. On the other hand, MSU is also capable of hitting some home run plays. If MSU hits several of those, then this can be a close game for 2-3 Q’s and OSU pulls away in 4Q. Either way OSU wins by 14+.

I think OSUcks wins, but they don't cover. They have played 3 high school teams in the first 4 weeks, and I think a solid MSU team will test them early in the game. 25 points is a lot. OSUcks wins 38-17.

I'm a Spartan alum who was lucky enough to see the 2013 Big Ten championship in person. One of the best games ever. I won't be watching this one. Until our QB demonstrates that he can keep a lid on the egregious picks, I can't watch this annual bloodbath. MSU 13 OSU 38. Our one TD will be a Chuck Brantley pick 6 and our defense is decent keeping them under 40.
I think Chiles redeems himself with some impressive plays in this one, keeping it close in the first half, but OSU is too experienced and talented to overcome. 48-24 Buckeyes
It’ll probably be close at halftime. But, OSU will pull away. I think Chiles will be an annoyance with the QB runs and this will probably be just like the Marshall game. I got OSU winning 42-20
The big question is whether or not the MSU defense can keep the Oh$U offense in front of them, for a change. Dunno what to expect, but we shall see.
Ohio State and Michigan State as of lately has never been close. This a name your score type game for the Buckeyes. Prediction: Aidan Chiles throws a pick 6.
I don’t think my Spartans have a chance to win. But compared to the last few years, I expect this game to be far more competitive. MSU has a decent defense. As long as the offense can move the ball enough to keep the defense rested so that they aren’t gassed by the 3rd quarter, MSU will keep it near or under the Vegas line. I just hope they can stay healthy-there have been too many injuries already 😢.

While it doesn’t excuse the D-line play entirely, OSU has yet to play a team willing to drop back and make two or three reads. Part of their lack of sack production is due to the respect overmatched teams have had in game planning quick slants and getting the ball out immediately.
Pretty good analysis, MSU has players that can be dangerous but they will be outmatched. This one has a chance to get out of hand too if Chiles is forced to throw often, he has been quite turnover prone so far and this is the best secondary he will have faced by far. 45-17 buckeyes is right where I am at.
As much crap as I give you it's because I have high expectations of you ill give you a ton of credit you're one of the few fans in college football who gives Ryan day fair criticism and fair praise. Most fans either Stan him too much. (Not many) or most fans think he's bad because he couldn't beat 3 national title teams.

I don't think you've seen how much better MSUs defense has looked compared to previous years. Not saying we're going to shut Ohio state out or anything stupid like that because they clearly have a good offense like they always do but I feel like it will be a closer game than OSU has been used to in recent years. The Buckeyes are good. Very good. Say what you want, but this is probably the most talented team ever from Ohio State. The most talented team FROM OHIO STATE, is definitely ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED TEAMS OF EVERYONE ALL TIME. That's not bragging. It's simply truth. However... my Buckeyes haven't played anyone yet. After playing MSU, they play at home against maybe the best defense in CFB, Iowa. Then they go on the road to Oregon. Then Nebraska at home followed by having to go to State College next.
If the Buckeyes win those next 4 games, will you think they are good?
