I'm slowly but surely getting there. I've managed to make it to the Grim Reaper without any cheating whatsoever, which means I've made it past the second-hardest part of the game (that corridor with the axe knights and medusa heads).
@@nerdmetall They made some honestly amazing games back then. Its not just childhood a lot of these games hold up today. Guess they lost of the their talent.
It's amazing, I typed in the name of this song into youtube and found a ton of remixes with real instruments and synthesizers, YET this version sounds the best to me....
I just released one, made with Reason. Very hard to top or match the original with different instruments for sure, if not impossible. What do you think? ua-cam.com/video/9_T-Dq9wr9s/v-deo.html
My housemate and I were playing this on the NES Classic last night and constantly dying. Whilst having a few beers and playing we concluded that from 0:43 - 1:07 is the NES Midi equivilant of a boyfriend and girlfriend having an argument!
+Pedro Juan My bad, I assumed "it's sad" meant that you were looking for a remix to top the original instead of just saying the original can't be remixed as well. Which is a little weird in my thinking, so fml
+kylele23 .. What? I'm gonna make it clearer No official remix of this theme is good enough to compete with the original; doesn't have the feeling this one does; I'm waiting to see one that can convey the same feeling.
0:22 This is by far the best part. The beginning part of this song after the intro plays seems to tell a story in a way. This part feels as if its speaking to the listener, telling it of the mission the player must undergo, while also telling the terrors that the world has been through.
Those freaking medusa heads, they always pisses me off especially the part where theres a knight attacking you and at the same time medusa heads are moving,Im sure AVGN has already said that
So I'm replaying Order of Ecclesia and I bought this record and _dayum_ , I forgot how much this slaps. Why this isn't as popular as Vampire Killer and Bloody Tears eludes me.
@@Durinson1 Currently, I use DeSmuME to play my DS games with. Sadly don't have my actual console anymore. Still hoping Konami will one day grace us with a DS collection.
Love this song, and the level that it plays in. While I'm walking the bridge and you see Dracula's Castle in the distance I always think, "man, this is a good-ass game"
This is a magnificent track that is used too damn little. Simon is just built like that. Edit: I'm glad Spark Man got a job at mixing audio, he even signs the track at the start.
I love the momentum in this song, as well as the use of phrasing with the answering chords emphasizing the previous main rifts. Its actually more interesting musically than Vampire Killer to me.
I can't wait to whip Dracula with my brother playing as Richter and me as Simon. And my little cousin as Mario! Never thought I'd see the day where Mario can help the Belmonts destroy Dracula! What a time to be alive.
Fuck that guy, he sucks. He does nothing original with any of his arrangements, You know what you're going to get every time. Imagine all the instruments replaced by voices. Change nothing else in the song. Boom, done.
Truly encapsulated the feeling of adventure as sidescrolling in 2d throughout Dracula's castle as richter Belmont or simon belmont preceding the first installment to the🙄 storyline of vlad tepes and vanpire Hunter clan Belmont.
@AmericanEvita i think this is also right before you have to fight death AKA grim reaper..you have to dodge all kinds of crazy shit in that stage towards the end. it was nuts.
Do you guys want to know how I became a fan of the Castlevania? I went to sleep, and had a dream about Richter. If it wasn't for my dream and Richter, i wouldn't be a fan.
I've only done in the Castlevania recently, and everyone in these comes to talk about bloody tears. PFT, I don't even know what that song is. I think it's safe to say it's the most memorable song the game, aside from Vampire killer, of course.
I think I'll get this game on the 3DS Eshop when I get the chance. This track is brilliant and I want to give this game a go. I know it's one of the hardest games out there. But a good challenge never hurt anyone. ;) Plus, I love experiencing other people's childhoods.
You'd think a vampire hunter would wear more protective armor to avoid getting bitten.....
Simon the barbarian doesn't need any.
Simon doesn't plan to get hurt.
Jumping 12 feet in the air > taking the hit
thekaboominator1 he likes flaunting
That's what the whip is for, Plus i don't think turning a vampire hunter into a powerful vampire is in dracula's best interest.
It's frustrating how much this song gets overlooked.
Agreed.
Same
It's also frustrating how it never appeared again in another game -- aside from Chronicles, who did a somewhat okay job at remixing it.
@@TheDaibu A pretty great version is in Smash Ultimate.
Is it?
" It took me 20 years but i finally beat it, uuugh YOUR MOTHER " :D

By far the best track in the soundtrack. Unequivocally. Vampire killer is iconic, but this track just hits differently.
It's neck and neck with bloody tears. Bloody tears translates better to metal and piano, but wicked child is great as it is on nes.
@@hw5091 Bloody Tears sucks, Monster Dance rocks
every time I hear that drumming sound at the beginning of this song I get excited
Castlevania and Final Fantasy had the best music. I still love this 35 laters. Wicked Child and Bloody Tears were always my favorites.
I just watched the Angry Video Game Nerd and this music was playing during the 1st Castlevania that he did in October of 2010

It's sad how this theme has never gotten a remix that can be better or even match the original.
I think the contrary; it means the original soundtrack can still stand the test of time and that it's still just as glorious today.
