That was wonderful, Cash. I loved the Original series, and the movies that followed with the same characters. What always struck me about Gene Roddenberry's creation is the sense of humanity, compassion, inclusivity and morality that the characters and the worlds they visited demonstrated. It was never preachy, and avoided being Nationalistic (which was a failing of many shows of that era) but somehow portrayed the best of humanity.
Star Trek TOS was the most integrated show shown in the 1960s, featuring a white man, black woman, Asian man, a Russian, a Scotsman, a southern doctor and even an alien, all major characters. I've met all of them over the years.
Once at a meeting of Mensa members I met someone who had worked for Gene Roddenberry. He said that in a previous lifetime that Roddenberry had been a Vulcan. HE was very sure of this fact.
Thanks Cash. I'm an old Trekkie from the original series. It made me love science and believe women could do anything, even be an admiral of Star Fleet. He created crazy alien life that he made you imagine were people in different physical form. He did an episode with a humanoid species who were black on one side and white on the other, split vertically. One race had the white on the right and the other had it on the left. They hated each other. It was good lesson into the stupidity of racism. I was only 11 but I watched the news so I knew about the civil rights movement in the US. I feel as others have commented about the show. His imagination inspired technology that we now take for granted in our daily lives. Have a great week!
Love the Treckkis, but reason I’m writing is because I googled u to find enlightened beings and I saw several pictures of you. I have to say that first one of you as a young man blew me away. Always known you to be handsome but that young man was stunning. I was impressed. True, looks aren’t everything, but beauty needs to be acknowledged. ❤
Fascinating.....and I do not remember seeing so much water in other transitions. Interesting. As I finished wrting this I notice a notification from a website that just came in. It says....."The role of water in spirituality". I cannot make this stuff up. My life is getting wonderfully wierd. Thank you and bye for now. Gotta check it out. 💜
A very important event that brought Roddenberry to an epiphany was when he was in a plane crash that he survived, but that several other passengers did not. I'm a grandmother now and have been a Trekker since I was 16 years old, which was when the original series started. So many wonders and it all started with Roddenberry who was a true visionary. Thanks, Cash, for another fascinating video.
My father worked at Cape Canaveral in the late 60s with the USAF; we went to Cocoa Beach to watch the rockets launch, which was empty back in those days. Grew up BELIEVING in the Star Trek message and still do (inclusive, compassionate, exploring, equal rights, adventure). Thanks, Cash!
Worth waiting for. Thank you, Cash. I watched ST from the beginning and long wondered whether Roddenberry was channeling at least some of his stories. They were remarkably profound and multilayered, some prophetic. Then, a few years ago I had the chance to have an afterlife conversation with him. He admitted to being tapped into his own "personal galactic encyclopedia." Sans ego, he described working with a "Divine director," and confessed: "Sometimes I was in awe of the layers that showed up in my stories. I’m good, but this was beyond, this was something extra special. I was a tool in the hands of the Great Sculptor and together we created magic." Seeing his transition pictures was also magical. Again, thank you, kind Sir. 🙏🏻
Thank you, Cash. Gene Roddenberry was supposedly inspired by channelings from universal beings in a book called The Only Planet of Choice, compiled by Phyllis Schlemmer. The book talks about the importance of Earth to the rest of the universe (and how humans are mucking it up). It is really fascinating, and I encourage anyone interested in the existence of life beyond our Earth to read it.
I commented the same thing so I was glad to see your comment. Back before anyone even knew what channeling was. But Gene got all the credit as the "visionary"
I remember watching the original Star Trek. All of us kids loved it and no one went anywhere when it was on. When an episode was over, everyone called everyone else to talk about it in detail!
My family and I loved watching Star Treck ! Opened HUMANITY’S MINDS and EYES to the possibilities ! Also brought home even if we are different in appearance,we are all one SPECIES MAN KIND ! Also we will find we are part of a larger species then we knew ! Or perhaps forgotten ! 🤔. 🙀👵🏻😱🖖🏼👽🐲❤TO EVERYONE WHEREVER YOU ARE ❤
Man, I’m so glad you started this channel. Thanks a bunch. I didn’t know about Roddenberry’s life at all, flew for Pan Am…wow. As a little girl with crazy curly hair, I was always in awe of their perfect looking stewardesses with perfectly smooth hair…how did they grow hair like that, I remember wondering. Fascinating pictures…and your enactments of each of them awakening memories of bits of my own life journey. You are an enigma Mr. Peters. Really, never to turn the dial on the tube towards Star Trek?
Thank you Dear One. He shot up, now that’s interesting. I personally think that he did not incarcerate back to earth, but went up to a higher dimension. He had faults, but his vision was advanced for its time.
I watched Star Trek in an old Motorola B&W Console. When Star Trek was on, everyone stopped and sat down to watch. Even Star Trek The Animated series continued the excellent stories. Now since Star Trek has sparked 11 series 11 major movies and ongoing (Discovery, Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds come to mind) with another one in the works (Legacy with 7 of 9 as Captain of the USS Enterprise -G. Watch the last episode of Star Trek Picard for how this occurred. )
Wow. Thank you, Cash. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all let our ego while we were here in this realm. I'm sure the lessons would be a lot different , oh what a pity
You have to think that the nunmber of flights Roddenberry made in his life, seeing the earth from above, of that didn't affect how he saw his transition. He got to see the earth many times, not as being in a spaceship, but flying. He'd feel the wind, the sun, the liftoff, and the return to the tarmack. For all the flying people do now, we don't have the same experience a pilot has.
Thank you so much Cash! You give me such good insight of myself and how to give direction loving myself and be there for all other people, animals, nature, earth and beyond! ❤
Thank you ❤ Roddenberry had an immense impact on our beliefs about what lies beyond our finite existence. I wondered if he was in contact with ETs. That would be interesting if you could explore that.
My crush was Uhrua and even in her old age,Miss Nichols was a beautiful and sweet woman. I was blessed to have met her before her passing. She worked with NASA, helping recruit female astronauts and she inspired many. Note- She had a fan escort dressed the the TOS Uniforms that helped her in her last days. Very few series of any type sparked such devotion. Jame Doohan sparked at least 2 generations of areospace engineers including his son Chris who played Scotty in Star Trek Continues, a fan made series here on YT. DeForest Kelly (Dr. McCoy) sparked a generation of real doctors. BTW Mr. Kelly is in the Cowboy Hall of Fame, having played in many westerns Pre-Star Trek. But it was Star Trek that made them all famous.
Try a transporter pad,Cash. He gave us much enjoyment and hope for the future during the 1960s that was so dark. I am what is known as a 1st generation Trekkie, having been a fan of the show since its first broadcast Sept 8 1966. STAR TREK is approaching its 60th anniversary, still going strong. I even have a set of the colorful uniform shirts from the original show, which I wear from time to time. (Yes you can buy them to this day. I have gifted a few girlfriends with the female uniform dresses from the show., which looked great on them.) Joy Reid of MSNBC has the Red uniform dress, along with her interactive Tribble, which she showed off in a behind the scenes video. US Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was also a Trekkie, having prevented Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) from quitting the show mid way thur its 2nd season. The Great Bird of the Galaxy (as Gene was know as by the fans) is now flying free to explore further.
Thank you so much for the reading. I'm 70 and have enjoyed Star Trek since its inception. Never missed an episode. I was not aware, however, of Gene's many, apparently character flaws. That's so sad to learn, when he promoted universal equality, acceptance, and healing type of future and he was so lacking. Enjoy your day.
Wow how completely mesmerizing and yet how I have expected all a long. That was mind blowing. I loved the way you described the crossover so beautifully portrayed.
We ate dinner at 6 pm every day but Sunday because mom, who periodically banished the tv to the basement, was a Star Trek fan and it came on Sundays at 6. There was lots of great social commentary on the show which was great fodder for household conversation. The series does look dated now, but then it was a bit ahead of its time. Thanks for the insights about the passing of Gene Roddenberry.
I’m a Trekkie as well, watch both old and new series every day, they’ve been such a source of inspiration in these troubled times. He had such curiosity and such a vision for what humans could become. Live long and prosper, Gene.. apart but never departed 🖖🏽
Gene Roddenberry was assisted by Phyllis Schlemmer who channeled much of the information for Star Trek. The croup she connected with is called "The Council of Nine". Another fun fact, the show would not have been produced but Lucille Ball (Desilu productions) decided to take a chance on it.
Hi Cash I think you might enjoy watching another Star Trek movie, The Wrath of Kahn. Not only does it feature an excellent performance by Ricardo Montalban, but that is his actual 60 year old chest on prominent display. Very fit for his age indeeed. AND, as a bonus, there is also a terrifying brain worm. Isn't that timely?😊 This was an interesting crossing. I was surprised that he seemed so attached to that damaged body.🤔

Both men were in the military and I wonder if that had a lot of influence in their writings. I think they were asking questions via their creations and yet not really facing those same questions in the afterlife. Fascinating stuff.

Good morning my darling Cash!
"Thank you Cash".
The funny thing about all these transitions and crossovers is that we've all done them many times previously with past lives and each time the person seems to be under the assumption that this is the first time. 😁
Yes, that must be the ego part that sees ourselves as separate and singular when really we're all part of the whole.
what a great observation!
