- The new AI helpers and steering assist has been one of the highlights of Farming Simulator 25, but did you know you can use AI helpers to drive vehicles end equipment to just about anywhere on the map, or use them to deliver product to silos?

I haven't tried it with harvesters, but tractors with plows and cultivators, you can send out to work in the field. It works like a charm. Use the option "fieldwork".
Your carting tractor will automatically go home and empty, when it is filled 100%.
Ah, thats gpod to know, might have to do a follow up to this then and test that out!
@@ArgsyGaming Fieldwork mode works with harvesters etc as well 👍
@@_NeilB_ cheers, follow up video incoming!
I use the start work with fertiliser contract vehicles and equipment as well
@@pinkpanther666 Yeah, I do that too. Hitching it together at the shop, then sending them off. Later, just collect the money. Easy.
Yes, you can make it start harvesting. When you set up a job, for the target location select the Number in the middle of the field. I should go to the field and just start harvesting starting in the middle
Hi Argsy, The combine or harvester will do the headlands in the direction YOU start it in. So if you want the combine pipe to be on the outside, start the combine in a clockwise direction.
I have found that the AI is pretty good at "go-to" most of the time but not always.
Great ideas in this game though.
How I was missing the start button is mind blowing! Can’t wait to try it again tonight.
Hey Argsy, you said around the 5:16 mark that you can't get the AI worker to go to a field and start harvesting, however I've found with some self propelled gear, and tractors with tools can actually be set to work from the store. Go to Create Work, Fieldwork, set the target field the same way you set a destination, and start job. In my experience they drive to the field and start work without hassle. I've not tried with a combine towing a header on a trailer, doubt that'd work.
I'm surprised this worked for you, mine constantly can't find the location and quit. I try to make sure I have the target location set on the roads but even then they only work 50% of the time. I can't wait for autodrive to come out.
I have the same issue. 😂
it's quite finicky at the moment. I find it's highly dependent on where you start from, and where your target end location is. Highest chance of it working is you starting and ending on a main road. Side/Auxilliary roads do work some times, while dirt roads and infields work even less of the time. Choosing a sell point or production building also sometimes bugs the hell out of the AI logic.
Have used load & deliver as auto-drive lite. Works well enough if you run harvester & tractor trailers, with you driving augur wagon between the two.
Thank you so much
You can create a job for "field work" which sets the AI to harvest/plough or whatever on the field.
Thank you for the video.
Great video thanks
Great information. Was not aware of this feature. I will try this today.
have fun, adds another dimension - can be a bit temprimental, depending where you are but mostly works well!
Great video thanks for that mate
The AI works good in the field for me but for road work, I can’t wait for Autodrive. 👍
argghhh not even in the field. the AI has a real hard time with fields that have funny sharps...
I recently accepted a contract to harvest beets. The harvester does not have an onboard tank, so a tractor with a trailer needs to be running alongside the harvester. Do you know of a way to set a worker to go along beside the harvester to unload it?
Not yet - hopefully follow me will come out and that will give an option - otherwise, its worker in the harvester and you're driving trailers
I miss auto drive having the working unload thr harvester for you when pipe out.
Hey mate, something is wrong with the vid, it stops shortly after it starts, when the wet road showed up.
I have tried several times but it's the same...
Fine here. Might be your end
works ok for me, seems like a strange little bug there!
@@ArgsyGaming yeah, pretty sure it's on my end, tried with the DuckDukcGo and works perfect with that.
But I have had some problems with youtube and Firefox since I had to reinstall my pc.
When I watch a video from The Autodrive Guy, there normally is a link to the AD-file in the end of the video, but since the re-install it's not there anymore.
Anyone that know what can be wrong?
What is the AI wages logic, a 1 minute drive at 0.5x took 65 dollars, so roughly $1900 an hour.
Wow my AI just shits the bed every time I try to do anything outside of actual field work 😂
the new FS25 AI workers are really knuckle draggers... I have placed the game on backburner will return later when the modding community have fixed the game...
Have you actually played the game?
