The Jade statue we got but is it the one we DESERVE?

- Mortal Kombat has existed for many years and they continue to push the series along. Jade made her debut in MK2 and has multiple looks and designs to her character. With previous changes made by the creators of MK did we finally get a Jade statue that was worth waiting for? I'll give you my honest opinion.

I dig this review format, but I also liked your other style, too. It's all good... do whatever you feel works best for the piece you're reviewing!

I really dig this Jade statue! I like this costume design choice and it all came out pretty well despite the problems Ant/PCS had with approval rejections. I think her skin color/tone is perfect as are the sculpt and base. I'm with you on the unmasked portrait... it's not bad, but it's not amazing either. I also personally worry about the ponytail possibly falling.
If you look I have my light on the statue in the beginning of the video but turned it off towards the end. You can see how dark she looks when direct light isn't on her. Good thing I have her displayed with lights on her.

I ordered the Kitana one and the issue I have is that it cost almost as much as the statue itself in postage and Import fees.

Congrats! I really like the Jade and Kitana! But man Mileena was going to be my first 1/3rd statue, i had the money saved up. But then PCS kicks in the nuts and decides no mask less version… just unbelievable. I know NRS was being a dick about it but still they could have made it happen. Unfortunately i missed the first Mileena, i see you have her in the background nice!
I think they bailed on Mileena's portrait because they would've had to make a whole new sculpt due to her teeth. Unlike Jade & Kitana who look identical.
@@SABadger In the PCS Mileena thread on statue forum one of the PCS guys showed the maskless head for the new Mileena they made. It looks allot like the one on the previous version. But NRS said no and said they could only do this goofy looking version with her smiling with her teeth closed. So they decided not to do one at all and are abandoning the rest of the MK line because they don’t want to deal with NRS anymore. So seems the 3 female ninjas and the 1/4th noob will be it 😐

Why didn't they make her mouth look like Amy's from "Fright Night?" And what's up with her brows? Your wife needs to get her some brow gel! :)
That would be the Mileena statue. Check out that statue review and you'll see that face. I'll tell my wife to bust out her makeup to fix the portrait.
The mesh chest is just invalid and even Jade is disappointed she has to cover up.
I agree Jade usually seemed a darker middle eastern for me too, interesting how her skin color has randomly changed throughout the games 🤔 though similar deal with others too, especially in the latest now lol. A different generation, different MK universe
That hilarious comedy movie Mortal Kombat Annihilation said screw it and made her Asian instead, 5 years after MK2 and MK3 were already out :D about to seduce & assassinate Liu Kang, then flirting, then it's actually just a test.
I think I'm fine with the mesh because it's MK3. If it was MK9 I'd want her busting out as much as possible! I'm glad I held on to my MK9 statues after all these years!
When that Jade turned "evil" she looked HOT!
Somehow I immediately assumed YOU out of all people, would attack her skin color. I swear, the irony of that refuses to escape me lol. Well, her skin color is perfectly depicted from the game. Even the box art illustrates her tone in MKT, which was a deep, rich brown tone. She's a radiant, brown-skin sista. Get tf over it already! 😂
Thanks for being honest. I'm just curious why you would assume I'd attack her skin color? It's not attacking though it's just an observation. Besides this is MK3 and the same person played all the female ninjas. In my video I show her with light on and off and you can tell the difference in the skin tone. I am over it and love the statue as I mentioned in the opening of my video. I appreciate your comment and can appreciate being open about your opinion instead of just positive vibes all the time. Real conversation is needed more.
