This is not the sound of a Gillet 600 muffler. What sort of exhaust did you put on this car? Also, where is the microphone for this recording? How were you able to get this much exhaust noise in the cabin of your 280?
It was my first try to record the exhaust sound with a Rode mic on the back of the car. In the cabin it is a lot quieter obviously. The exhaust is a new one in the style of the original System. There is still a lot of road and wind noise that has to be dealt with.
...wowwwww ..how l wish l could do what you just did. I was 10 years old when that car was new ( we had a1958 190 ) . So impressed with the steering of the 280 while you were driving it.. W108's are such a refined car,.so much better than the 1972 S class. Thanks for enjoyable video 😊
