I always loved the Sting Rays. I wanted one so much when I was a kid, but my Dad wouldn't go for it. I did get a new Murray 3 speed bike with a set of side baskets, so I didn't lose out completely. Thanks for your videos they bring back good memories. My favorite accessory was a clothes pin and an old Tops Baseball Card for the authentic motor sound. I got to be the first comment.

@@HansensSpeedShop It reminds me a lot of me and my Valiant. It was even that color blue for a while.

Cool bike, I vaguely remember my Shchwinn Stingray. I believe it was yellow with a silver metallic vinyl seat or maybe a white seat with a silver metallic 🤷‍♂️ lol 👍👍😊

Cool buddy! Very nice 👍! When I was 11 , i had the green Schwinn crate, whichever that was, I always thought it was the apple crate but I was wrong, I don’t remember what the green crate was or what it was called actually. I also had the green stingray, after the crate.

Thanks man I really appreciate it, that’s awesome that you had a krate when you were a kid the green one was called the pea picker and I’m actually putting a 1970 pea picker together when I eventually get it done I’ll do a ride and review on it thanks for watching buddy

@@HansensSpeedShop - yeah buddy you’re welcomed! Cool, yeah, pea picker, I couldn’t think of that to save my soul, anyways it was a fine bike though, I loved that like a springer forks on it and a cheater slick, 5 spd with the shifter, oh man they were real cool bikes! But those stingrays were real cool in their own right too. Heck yeah, you get that pea picker finished do a video on it, I’d love to see it! Stay cool buddy!

When you swapped the crank did you use the 20 inch sprocket or the 26 inch bike sprocket?

I just used the original 20” style sprocket
