I've been a camera operator at my church for a little more than two years. I've just found your channel as I endeavour to build on my skills to serve God and his church. Thanks for an informative video. Subscribed!
Thanks for making this public. Even though this was uploaded 4 years ago, and our setup is not the same, actually far less, the PRINCIPLES still apply. Instead of me coming up and presenting this information, I can send this video to my small team and you guys did 10 times better than what I would have come up with. I have so much more I want to say to express my gratitude 🙏, but I don’t want this UA-cam comment to be a novel; so I’ll end with another thank you.
Man this just help me redesign the flow of our entire team. I have been looking for help and haven't found what I needed that would work for us. This is extremely helpful. Thanks!!!
Really helpful video, just starting out as a camera operator at my church next Sunday. Thank you for making this available to everyone. I feel like I learned so much and can also use this on my personal UA-cam channel.
@@TinagirlTravels I hear ya. Never enough time to do everything. I've been doing it for 14 years now. A few times a month on Sundays and Wednesdays. Used to have 5 cameras but only 3 now.
What is the name of the website you mentioned when you were talking about Standards of Operation for Always move quickly between shots. I could not under stand the name of the website that had useful information on camera techniques.
Really loved watching this but the only push back I have is with the use of fades. For the most part, it's use should be limited to openings, slow transitions within a song, and transitions between songs. It's also important to utilize negative space between shots to avoid "ghosting." Otherwise, you will make audience go cross-eyed. Lol
Sir can you show a map of how u have u are getting the audio (coming from your mixer) syncing with the video from your switcher - My goal is to run all singers and instruments to a mixer and run the sound over to my Cam Swithcher - dont know if i need mics on each cam as well or the mixer with sync will adujust all cameras
Thats not really what rack focusing is. A rack focus is blurring out your subject to focus on another subject in the same frame but at a different focus distance.

It doesn't feel like a video from 6 years ago! It was a really helpful video. I still don't understand why I watched this video now!

Very helpful video. Thanks for making this!
Took a drink of beer every time he said “okay”
I LOVE this! It's just like me when I'm directing
I love this video, it’s helpful. 🔥
Great video.
The main issue I saw was the speed of the pushes were often way too fast.
Great Video ! More Vladimir!
God bless you, for sharing this profound data
This is incredible....can I get a handout for this lecture
Must be a nail biter as a director having a different cam op every week.
Great tutorial!
Very helpful. Thank you for this!

Would be grate if you carried on these insightful videos
Love the training, how can we get in touch with you guys to discuss some questions about our church
this has helped me. thanks!
Every creative ministry has SOMEONE annoying who always wants their voice heard. 🙈 This guy on the left is pretty extra. Grace.
Yesssssss.... I was like chiilll mahn... The host was getting pissed but was handling it well... 😆
Agreed. Interrupting, not shutting up when the host starts talking again, etc.
Pastor Jeff I think of Young Sheldon
Can we get your handouts? Training resources
Did anyone else notice the bass player still rocking the same bass?? 😎😎😎
It was from a year ago...not 10 years ago
Geez that one guy can't read the room. Kept talking even when the speaker started talking again.
good stuff even if you're a one camera guy ... next time get a mic for questions
Blessings, what camera are you using?
Can we receive this PowerPoint?
BLESS YOU ALL
Are these resources still available? Thanks for sharing this training class!
Looks like their new website is www.productionteam.org/ but I don't see the resources he references there.
@@PeterVCook thanks for the link! Looks like the resources are different, but still give similar insight.
Who’s the guy that keeps interrupting? It’s kinda distracting from the training.
man that at green 59:00 glad they moved away from it!
By chance donate equipment to church you not using? Hope you get to see this comment..
Great video
Disagree with the “establishment of the song” thing. You’re not doing a tv broadcast. Your doing a church service.

Nice video, but i really dont like the audio
This would have been an hour training if the guy on the left didn't interrupt at all...

*DON'T WEAR FLIP FLOPS*!
The guy to the left is annoying. Lol
The overly vocal audience member, is ruining the experience.
stupid irrelevent title,
"come on!" Your congregation had to be pushed to praise God? Interesting.
