I do enjoy you videos. One of the reasons I ended up with the liberty was your first video. I have found with most of my larger purchases. Car bike mower. The dealer is the most important part of you customer service. I looked heavily at the bobcat the look great and quality looks to be top notch. However I was unable to get a reply from any dealer in my area. I stopped by and they wouldn't even walk out. My scag dealer was super responsive and answerd every question and did a great job checking over my liberty before I picked it up. And I was able to get the first responder discount. I'm no longer a first responder but was for years. I love my machine. Thanks for all the honest reviews.
awesome! yeah the dealer is everything, mine promised the world and delivered nothing, in fact he didnt even shake my hand when i took delivery, he didn't even talk to me. he watched me load it from the camera system in the back office according to another employee. I was all about scag in the beginning like i said, but man that sure changed. ill never forget what scag said to me over the phone, or maybe it was in an email, either way they've been deleted. I did save a few screen shots early on when their communication was horrible, maybe i'll make a separate video out of that. I should have seen the red flags earlier on, but i wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Fool me once, twice... etc. bobcat offers no military / first responder discount which is unfortunate. I sent them some comps, including the maverick HD which on paper looks to be a great machine for the price, but the build quality isn't all there as you've seen in my other videos. i'm glad you have a good dealer. I gave my dealer all the praise until it was obvious they wern't going to even return my phone calls when i was having issues, and that's when i started making these videos. i'm just telling it like it is, real-world experience owning a scag in central texas.
by the way, when my first video came out, i must have sold at least 10--20 scags alone from people that were on the fence, mostly homeowners interested in the liberty and at the time $5k was a big pill to swallow when you could get cubs and husq's in the $2500-3500 range. and those 10-20 were the people that chimed in the comment sections in various videos i've posted, who knows how many other people bought scags that didn't chime in. Anyways i brought it to scags attention and they wouldn't even send me a damn T-shirt. which, i had to purchase on my own. i spent almost $200 on scag gear, not to mention the hurricant mulch kit, which i made a silly video about, but still promoted their product. hell, i don't know if i'd accept a free tiger cat from them at this point haha.
I just looked at the ZT2000 yesterday. Was comparing the BobCat to a Spartan. I have 90% sure I am going to buy the BobCat. The customer service was top notch and that makes a huge difference with me.
what did you end up buying? i can't believe i didnt see this msg. my bobcat dealer tried to sell me an almost 2 year old bobcat that has been sitting outside rusting and wouldn't negotiate.
I know this is 3 months old but have you looked at Kubota? I looked at one yesterday and it's a very nice looking machine. At this point I'm torn between Kubota, and John Deere. At the same price point you get a LOT more mower from either of the two over a scag.
I never looked at a Kubota in person, I researched them but they didn't have the combination of parts that I wanted until I got into their 7 Series which was around 10 grand at the time, I was able to get more bang for my buck with a Scag with a military discount but I won't touch a scag now. All the prices have gone up - too much in my opinion
@@morejelloplease I believe I have settled on the Kubota z422kw-60 with a Kawasaki engine. It's a TON of mower for the price. I looked at JD, grasshopper, and Scag. To me, the Kubota just looks like the ultimate bang for your buck. If there is such a thing in a zero turn mower. Lol. It's truly built like a tank.
@@jordancrusenberry7784 there's three things that I absolutely need in a zero turn mower one is a full suspension seat with a dial, the other is 3400 or better transmissions, and last but not least a dual element Donaldson canister air filter, I don't care if it's on a FR series engine or an fx etc. I don't like kohler that much, definitely not a Briggs Vanguard fan after they let engines out with no gasket material on a crankcase.
i got a liberty z last year 48in deck, i believe it is the 24 hp kawasaki fr730v. absolutely no problems, cuts great, rides kinda bumpy - i dont have the most smooth yard ever, starts up ez, only had to do 1 oil change so far. my neighbor has a turf tiger 1 which he has been using for as long as i can remember, i work for a lawn car company and we have 3 scag mowers there- turf tiger 1, which just go the oil pump replaced for the first time has about 5k-6k hours on it and runs amazing, i call it the pig bc is big fat and heavy, a tiger cat 1 and 2, the 2 has only 550 hours on it the one has about 2k-3k on it. all of them are amazing and we have a windstorm that we just pulled out of storage today, idk what the hours are on it very low tho, the boss just got it last year and we only use it for fall cleanups. so idk, i personally prefer scag.
i was a scag fanboy in the beginning but the honeymoon quickly ended when all these little problems started popping up. the dealer was absolute crap and scag never offered any assistance, the last dance with scag with with a new tiger cat that leaked in 5 places. it only had 30 minutes on the clock. scag never got involved, only got a phone call from the new area distributor guy, that was my 4th and last scag. took 4 scags for me to realize that they were the problem, i even tried different dealers.
Looks like you made a great choice staying away from Bobcat. After all, you buy a lawn mower to get a great cut on your lawn and there’s none better than Scag. I’ll be getting the Cheetah II very soon and will even keep the BB Maverick. I have no complaints about Bad Boy. All of these manufacturers have issues. Dealers can make the experience good or really bad.
Have you seen my latest video? Bought a new tigercat, and it went back to the dealer 2 days later with 5 leaks. I'm ready to hire a lawn service and say screw it.
This guy will find something wrong about his next purchase, just wait and see, this guy is impossible to please the dealers see him coming and they run and hide 😂🤣😂🤣
And by the way, you're way behind on my videos. I already purchased a new 2022 Tiger Cat 2. it had less than an hour on it and it leaked in 5 places and yes, the dealer bought it back.
You got a good machine and a dealer that knew how to put it together properly to save you the hassle. Bobcat purchased bob-cat mowers (the green ones) and according to bobcat it's their baby now.
I just posted another video, No Deal on a Bobcat they tried to charge me based off a MSRP price for a 2022, the unit was a 2021 in rusting outside for 10 months
i have remaned scag to scam , because they are no better than the others, actually worse if you look at that over-priced loncin harbor freight motor they have in there now. if they were so high and mighty they would have allocations on more engines like kawasakis. after having 4 junk scags and shitty customer service i won't touch another scam.

This makes me want a Bobcat now!
Haha hold your horses, this race isn't over yet :)
@@morejelloplease Well luckily I'm not in hurry lol. I still need to go look at those Wright zero turns.
I looked at Bobcat again today along with Toro Hustler and kioti. I'm still on the fence, nothing is screaming at me, still more homework to do.
