I was outcast from the SF dubstep music industry scene for DEMANDING gay DJs to be visible AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN
Queer (gay, lesbian and bisexual) pop music already exists, but indeed not as an official genre. It only would make sense to establish this as an official genre when at the same time an official _queer music chart list_ is established. Combined, that is a great idea.
As a homosexual myself, not everything I enjoy has to be called "gay". Putting that label on something is redundant. If I hang out with other gay people it's not "gay hanging out". If I go camping with other gay men I'm not calling it "gay camping". Just because a lot of LGBT people listen to certain songs or genres doesn't mean we have to put it in a made-up genre FOR gay people. "Gay Pop", give me a break, I'm about to spike my pop just to forget about this.

The single was terrible but I do appreciate where she is coming from as a gay man. I think what she is trying to say is there aren't a lot of OUT gay pop stars or if they are out it was after they became famous. It would be nice to have more Lil Nas X and Jojo but who make actually good music lol. Elton John and Whitney ( she was sort of outed by Robyn Crawford) are the only ones I can think of.

We're talking about gay pop stars right? Troye Sivan, Orville Peck, Boy George, The Village People, Bee Gees, just about every Drag Queen who has dabbled in music, Billy Gilman, Adam Lambert... there's quite a few gay pop stars out there you can listen to.
