The emeralds that vanilla picks up are voices or something talking to her and it shows us that sonic, knuckles, tails, amy and rough and cream seen vanillas dead body unless if it was eggman who is the one that killed her because you can see the jumpscare of him unless if they seen someone else killed her and it makes sense because cream is crying while the others are scared and terrified or traumatized and cheese is looking at her wondering what's wrong and you can see someones blood on the floor or maybe her friends are dead that's my theory.
This game actually does have a virus and it has secrets. HOLY THE JUMPSCARES SCARED ME AND THE WALLPAPER OF VANILLA IS VERY SCARY!

I think that the message "The background images of the questions hide the secret" refers to all the screens when the level went dark when you touched an emerald, those questions or texts that appeared moments before showing us the sonic characters with the spots of blood, you could try to take screenshots of them and then use your editor to increase the brightness and see if they hide more messages!

The sonic image is clear but the text has something going on at the top, unsure what it is. Like crosses or something but incomplete
Knuckles has a bit of blood sparkle by the master emeralds left lower edge, and in the text has weird dots at the top and 4 squares following the text
Tails picture has a clump of blood at the top left of the picture but text has nothing
Amy is clear, text has same crosses as sonic
Rouge is the weirdest so far, sitting in some weird red thing, like a smiling mouth's tounge or weird chair? Text clear
Cream is clear for both pic and text.
I suspect that you'd need to screen record the text and pics and modify that to see something?
I tried that when i was recording the video (both text and characters images) but i didn't find nothing suspect in the images that could help on the puzzle

@@SunDoesStuff huh... any idea on the 4 dots in knuckle's text/the rouge blood chair thing? Those are the only ones that stood out, though maybe it's nothing. I did check the eggman jumpscares, other than a few seeming AI generated there was nothing of note.

This is actually the most original Sonic.EXE fangame I have seen in awhile. Hell, could you even consider it a fan game? It feels like it's own thing here. Also the art is really good. The game itself reminds me of those old MLP horror games, like Luna Game.

Okay, so what I have so far is a few ideas:
Maybe all the images together mean something. Like if you put the images in one spot together they spell something or make another image?
All the images have soemtong and if I know one thing, it's that sometimes in order to solve one puzzle, you have to take it apart. So maybe one image leads to another, like you figure out what one image means and it leads you to another one. Like a path of some sorts.
I would start with not the order they appear in, but the order of the characters. Like most common to least. (Ex: Sonic --> Tails --> Knuckles --> Amy --> Cream --> Rouge)
I don't know how to solve this yet but mark my words I WILL FIND A WAY COMMENT SECTION!! YOU CAN COUNT ON ME!!!

@user-ff5nd7sw4c right. I think the creator used AI to make the pics and had it put a greenscreen background or something, he could shade to hide. This most sticks out when you increase Rouge's brightness.
