yay! I wanted to be the first commenter and now I am! I watched this when it first came out. I love this presentation - this is how a company of my dreams would run: - posters of inspiration and a transition from the past to the present - walking tour - a CEO that just gets it and wants to do better and knows what that is and delves into it 100% motivated! More people should watch! Fermentation is the future and mycoprotein is a part of that, as it provides the 'meat' of it. Fungi produce a lot of CO2, so microbial version's a game-changer. Isn't it the filament the part that's used here and normally what goes to waste with regular mushroom harvesting. This looks like a lot less waste.
Thanks for your kind words, and your support of The Better Meat Co. We're grateful to you for rooting for our success in helping reduce humanity's reliance on farm animals!

I do believe B2B is the future of microbial fermentation, as it's chemical ingredients. The trick's always finding the right partners.
I love potatoes - it's super low resource use, is a staple food, and is high-ish in protein and other nutrients and is satiating. Great pick

I really like how their product Rhiza's allergen free, as the competitors like Quorn tend to have wheat and egg and I can't have either!
I think this is kind of a cool alternative to cultured meat, as it's still plants, but people don't notice
