I came here because I enjoy JJ's point of view and how he articulates it. I left though with a smile on my face due to the last 2 seconds and your enthusiasm of completing another podcast. :)
It's an interesting discussion. Australia and are Canada demographically very similar and we have similar media laws for traditional platforms that must include a certain percentage of Aussie Shows / Music / News etc and have recently been trying to figure out how to pass those on to the internet. But how do you get Netflix, UA-cam et al to play ball when servicing a few million people in a tiny corner of the world when they probably have US cities with more customers than the entire Australian market? I think it boils down to the losing battle of old media having not adapted fast enough trying to protect their markets and fast becoming obsolete so are making desperate efforts to remain relevant.
