Yes, also glad you had the safety bar up on the dump box! All it takes is a hydraylic line to rupture.
We had a hydraulic line fail, box was in the air, blew during lunch break. The safety bar was crushed, no one was hurt, a definite wake up call for everyone!
Those are parker push lock fittings on the hoses for your dogs. Just cut the hose off the fitting, trim the bad spot off and push it back on the fitting
Her husband would know if there was enough length to get away with that. Also likely the hose is splitting due to age and will just split again very soon. Not worth the risk of being stopped at a light on a busy intersection and plugging an air leak with horns blaring and drivers cursing!
@@wssides what are you talking about traffic? It was the gate dog cylinder! You da man though!
@@smengine That is a part of a truck air system that I've never worked on or looked at. If it was the cylinder side, why did her husband empty the air tank? Plus she couldn't lower the box to clean out the corners. They thought it was the supply side and as he is a heavy duty mechanic I expect he knew what he was doing. He repaired it and scraped out the corners after his afternoon shift plus she said it was being changed so she wouldn't be stuck on the road during a job.
It's your panel squeaking not the seat, put the felt on the panel. One thing I always keep in a toolbox on the truck is air line of every size (plastic and rubber) fittings are generally reusable so I also have extra ferals. Also a good electrical kit and wire. I don't know how many times it's saved my bacon and other driver's as well. I also have a decent assortment of tools (sockets, wrenches up to 1 1/4" , 2 pipe wrenches, a set of Cresent wrenches, screw drivers, ect...)
When i have to cable tie air lines I try use a old garden hose to protect them from cutting into the air line
We do the same on the little truck I drive. Extra security for sure.
You're the first dump truck driver I follow here on UA-cam, I never really knew how dump trucks functioned until I started follow you.
Nice looking hoodie u r wearing Dauminique RedSoxs
Make a cloth type of sack that will fit over your headrest so it won't sqeak. Then you can remove it to wash. I had one for my Peterbilt.
I'm glad 2 C U had the safety bar up when U R tinkering under the box. Years ago I remember a local "Dump Trucker" was killed when his box suddenly lowered.
Yeah it seems dumb not to have it up
You and your husband are definitely hard workers.Just seeing that I know you will make it in your business.
Hi, this is Bill from Pulltarps. I've talked with our customer service manager about your tarp getting stuck on the corner of the housing, he let me know that the reason you're having trouble is that the tarp should roll out from the bottom of the roller tube and not the top. Please let me know if you have any questions.
It really helps out having your own mechanic and he's understanding
He’s great
👍 Your a great example for young women that you can do what want to do to make a living. My daughter has had strong women in her life and it rocks. She is in Med school right now. When she went to GS camp when she was young they gave the award for Always letting her opinion be known.
And yes, everything is looking good at this operation!!
On the tarp motor try an alternator / starter rebuild shop. might be quicker than trying to find one in stock
Just open it up and fix it. Most of the time a person can get brushes at Ace or True Value. Over sized brushes can always be massaged down to size, so a person doesn't have to be too fussy. Wort case measure the brushes and order them.
I never realized how involved owning a truck can be. You two are great together.
The look on your face after you put the second piece of felt on and the noise was even worse was priceless 👌 lol 😂 sorry Daum but thanks for the laugh
You and your husband are the perfect team. Hang in there.
My dump truck sucks even worse every time I see your videos
Haha but yours came with a bonus Tacoma….mine didn’t. I’m jealous of that!
Can you try dry lube like Teflon or silicon spray for now for your seat! Keep on trucking!
Your husband is one lucky guy to have a pretty, hard working woman like you keep up the good content 👌
The life of a trucker wife and mother . great job and work out
Thanks!
Good to hear from you!
Mink oil, leather conditioner, talcum powder or baby powder should quite down the squeaking. I just don't know how long either will last before it comes back.
Hello Dauminique, I just do this to keep my seats clean but this might help you with your noisey seat problem, I just buy pillow cases and pull down over the top of the seat back and they can be cut up the sides and altered and sewed on each side of the split for your arm rests . And they come in all different colors so, you can find you a color that matches with your interior color . And yes it is a lot different when you own your truck now, instead of driving a truck for a company or for just an individual person . When you are a truck owner is sort of like me myself living here on the farm, there is always some kind of maintenance work to do, even if it's just little things . But that is just part of everyday life, with lots of things . I will see you later so be careful and stay safe out there on the road and keep on trucking.
As always, Jeffrey !!!
Thanks, have a safe week
Thanks for the update and stay safe out there keep the wheels turning
Thanks!
Tut...Tut.....YOU are awesome. Love seeing ladies grab it and go.
I would weld two aluminum covers in those corners and your issues there will be solved and won't interfere with weight or yardage. Weld just below first front box support . Material likes to collect in those corners this will stop it . 22 1/2 or 45 angle
I like that, "A tricky 40 degrees". A great NW thing...
For sure!
I operated heavy equipment for about 40 years. I never like dump trucks or any trucks require a lot of attention. I admire you for your work ethic you probably take care of the home and you are out trucking in the day.
Well at least you had some nice weather to work on your nice looking truck. Good grief the fuel prices are nuts. Keep your chin up and soldier on. Thanks for another great video !!!
Love the Red Sox hoodie!
…watching from Boston area, truck starting to look “dialed-in” 👉🏼👈🏼

@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver your welcome
My son's crib was on wheels, and when he woke in the a.m., he would hold on the top rail an start jumping to wake us up. Crib would move over slab floor 4 or 5 ft. EVERY MORNING!!
Haha that’s hilarious
4:51 So move the seat forward one notch away from the wall.
Work 5 days a week, up at 4:30 am, half a day on Saturday. Sunday, 4 hours to grease the truck, adjust breaks, wash, clean cab and go fuel up. When you get home Sunday afternoon you're to tired to do anything except eat, shower and watch half the game. You speak to your girl and she turns and spits in your face. That's trucking, what a wonderful life.
On my dump truck I pour old cooking oil all around the corners rounded dog box or spray it with Pam
I noticed your truck has the same suspension as mine. Didn't know if you knew but if you keep an eye on your lower torque rod bushings and change them when they start getting play with the 2 piece neoprene you'll never have to change uppers. BTW the uppers really suck to change.
Put an old sweat shirt over the seat back, pin bottom sides of shirt to make it tight.
Love the Cleetus Shirt. Looks good on ya.
Hell yeah Brother!
Put a silk pillow case over the seat or a pice or sheep skin from hobby lobby they work grate
I remember my brother was owner/operator of semi tractor and flatbed trailer, when he wasn't driving he was doing maintenance or sleeping. He drove long haul, him and his wife pretty much had separate lives. He did this for years until it got to expensive to be a owner/ operator, couldn't compete with the big companies. He loved every minute of being a trucker and still misses it, told me once that it became addicting to him.
A freind of mine who hauls gravel and sand in AB sprays the corner of his box with diesel to eliminate product sticking.
“Friend”
Stop telling people we do that, even though we all do that........
You have the nice truck to pick cleaning up
What an amazing team you an your husband are, May the lord continue to bless you all in all aspects of your life, an thank you for sharing your videos with us
🙏👍👌😀 💙💚💙.
Sprinkle some baby powder on the back of your seat and cab that is what cowboy do to a new saddle when riding a new saddle and they do Squeak like that
Your neat Company ever haul track Ballast for BNSF OR UP RAILWAY....ALL YOUR RAILFANS AND YOUR TRUCK TO RAIL TRANSLOADS FACILITIES FANS WILL LOVE THE NEW VIDEO.....YOUR VIDEOS YOU MADE HAULING CONTAMINATED DIRT TO THAT TRUCK TO RAIL TRANSLOADS FACILITIES IN SEATTLE WAS OUR FAVORITE VIDEO....BEST WISHES....ALISE,MARY,STEPHANIE ELIZABETH PATRICIA LOUIS MEGAN LOUIS 😀😄..(The girls )
Here's an *ATTA GIRL* for you! 😁
Keep on keeping on!
Feel free to use it when you need it the most!
a little duct tape or gorilla tape on the hole. the rest of the tarp looks good you can also get a tarp patch kit
Put a pillow behind the chair. And now it should take care of it or put. Something in the hold of pillow from sliding and you should be fine
Great video as always. Diesel over here (UK) now averaging about £1-50 a litre. At todays exchange rate that works out at $ 8-99 a gallon !!!!! Worlds gone crazy.
Try Armorall or spay silicone on the vinyl behind your drivers seat. Should stop your seat noise. Or at least lessen it.
Love watching yall work together, keep the hummer down,👍
Great kitchen you have there,I bet you must be a great cook too.My kitchen is too small but oh well we have to be thankful for what we have after seeing what is happening in Ukraine.
I know this summer I will be showing lady's in my town your channel to get some knowledge of trucking. Great learning experience too 👍🏿
Seat squeak. Silicone spray lube. Apply it to the cab and the seat. While it may not be a long term solution I bet it lasts longer than you expect. Keep the can in the truck with a micro fiber towel and re-apply while you are getting loaded or waiting on scales etc. Felt probably has to come off.
Love you representing the Red Sox. Native New Englander here now living in Scottsdale AZ. Love your channel.
“By we, I mean he will…” 🤣🤣
Kent Industries has a product you can spray on interior plastic parts..
I used it years ago on the sidedoor interior trim touching the trim @ the headliner, it works great..
So spray it on the seatback and cab.
Been waiting for the new video! Be safe…
Once again another great video. I love your work ethics. Would a high pressure water hose help you keep the bed of your truck and trailer clean ? Be safe and stay healthy out there. 🙏👍🏻💕🇱🇷
Every time I see your trailer I am fascinated. Like I have wrote we don't have that in the Northeast. It sounds really cool and if the motor on the truck can handle the weight and not wear quicker then it sounds like you can make double the money. I would think putting all that weight would lower your fuel economy and reduce the lifetime on the trucks motor. Looks cool either way and thanks for sharing.
Thanks!!!! for the video I have said it before and I will say it again very nice truck you have ans and you seem super cool 😎
Just another day in the life of a owner operator. Good luck trying to sleep in the baby will probably wake you up early 😂😂. Take care and have a blessed week and I'll see you on your next video.
Hell yea u watch cleetus
Who doesn’t? Haha
The air line is a Push Lock style , cut bad section off and push line back on .
Apply leather seat conditioner to the headliner to stop the friction between back of seat and pleated liner to stop squeak
You're awesome Dauminque keep it up
Thanks Randy!
I walked into the boys' room yesterday to find Mr Almost 2, who was supposed to be having a sleep, happily sitting on his 11 yr old brother's top bunk! The bar on the cot was still up!
Boys will be boys!
Haha yes! 4 kids and this is the first one we've had who's a climber!
No days off for you! If you wanna be an owner, you gotta be an operator...Love the content, good luck with fuel prices...
Build up in the box, I know it is 1 more thing to deal with but when I ran dump truck I installed small pneumatic vibrators to the box ( you choose the location depending where you have the most build up of material) and ran airlines both metal and rubber flexible to them with a switch control in the cab. Did not always require the vibratory but it was effective at the end of the dump cycle when necessary. If you really don't mind climbing in and out of the box to shove then problem solved! And unless you create a little distance between the seat and the wall nothing will prevent the squeaking after a period of time and wear.
Doesn’t work for aluminum box with steel floor.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver OK... not sure I understand what you are telling me? Steel floor with a bracket welded to floor and a vibrator mounted to the bracket. But hay whatever works for you!
@@harvey604journeyman8 it would rip apart the aluminum
As for the seat, the thick diamond tuck (which is why KW has way more class than all the rest) is not ever gonna stop squeaking if run air on the seat and the seat all the way back. I’ve drove many W900’s (same cab) and never ran air on the seat. That was one reason, the other is I’m 6’1” and had to room otherwise. Also, if you lived in Va you’d be very concerned about the tarp. Va will write you a ticket in a flat second for not tarping everything. No matter what the commodity.
Maybe you could think about installing some ball valves in the lines that operate the dogs. A ruptured hose would be a bad situation to leave you on the side of the road. If one did rupture, just close a couple of valves. They could be installed more forward toward the cab or even in the cab, check, they may already be up there.
Ad Revenue for you and your Family. Thank You 🇺🇸
Try putting a sweat shirt over the seat back, so that it rides between the seat and the cab. If that solves your issue then you know where to concentrate your effort, Otherwise it could be the seat itself. Thanks for sharing.
I do not know about you guys but I am having a hell of a time finding OEM parts for my older Truck. There always back ordered I never seen such dysfunction in our supply chain
Fantastic work on Maintenance and repair your truck dauminique
Hey Dauminique you could try one of your hoodie, pillowcase, t-shirt slide it over your seat. Love the t-shirt this passed week it's been my company motto The Right Foot Breaks Shit. 😂 Hope you and Bobby have a great week. 😎👍
For the seat rubbing, you could just remove the padding from behind it.
Just discovered your channel the other day. Great stuff! You've probably solved the seat rub issue by now. Some things never change in a KW day cab! Might have to call MacGyver! Stay safe over there on the west side!
Much love from central Massachusetts!! Yessss!, she’s a Red Sox fan too?!? Coolest UA-camr ever right here lady’s and gents!!!
Have a safe week Ahead
Red Sox!!👍🏻👍🏻
No water in air tank good sign air dryer is working
If you run any Milwaukee M18 battery tools they make an awesome wet/dry vacuum that is the size of a small hand tool box. The battery last a long time.
These fuel prices are gonna be tough. It's tough on me in a regular vehicle. I just do around 650 miles a week commuting to work.
When the seat is squeeking mamas freaking lol
Luv your shirt and your channel and I see your a Red Sox fan
Lol I’m not.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver lol o ok
Check the resistance of the tarp motor that isn't working and the one that is with an ohmmeter and compare the readings. If they are really different then it probably is bad. Like if the good motor has something like 35 ohms and the bad one has 17 ohms it's most likely bad.
It’s a lot of work owning your own truck, hope it goes well for you.
Try putting a sweatshirt over the back of the seat. Ihad to do that with an old plow truck I drove. The headrest kept hitting the wall.
hey, truck lookin' good lady! that's one thing I don't miss is "maintrnance Sudays" lol
does the meetings they're having out there have any effect on you as an owner/op?
Yep, that sounds like a whoopee cushion!
The high pressures hose, when you haul clean rock for a plant ,it's much safer to use hose, than climbing into bed to clean out.dont ever climb into bed at a quarry!
That is a luxury only a handful of pits have. Very uncommon.
Wish ya luck! I have 30+ years in trucks and equipment,I've even dispatched trucks.
I've had a great time working though out my life.just remember every day is learning experience. 2.there are two kinds of end-dump drivers.ones been over and the other he's going over!
Love you're videos. You guys are awesome. I always loved trucks
FN1ST!!! COOL VIDEO DAUMINIQUE!!!!!!
nice to see u representing the new england states with ur red sox shirt
Lol I’m not trying to
very respectfully you could tip your seat ahead one or two clicks on the back with your dial on side so the top of the seat is not so tight
