I think the black syringe seal will fail quickly because the motor shaft is rubbing against it. The hole will get bigger and then water will destroy the motor and short out the power.
I thought this might be a good video until I saw the 3 tetras, a micky mouse platy, and two or three other fish in what must be a 0.5gallon tank. Those poor fish are definitely dead.
The spindle is rotating right through the rubber plunger seal. Wouldn't that hole fail, water seeps through, and short the motor, after a couple of hours? How long have you had it running?
I would assume so I only came looking for a diy "pump" for quick water changes. I ended up finding whatever all this is, someone said they made it and it lasted two days.

I was thinking of a way that can seal that hole area maybe oil can work? Use of a motor with longer shaft can enable double sealing design

getting it water tight is difficult. The water should come in via the shaft.
I was looking for your comment, this pump is due to failure over time, it will rust quickly when water seeks through the gap!
