I seriously hope this means we are going to see a LOT more of Kenny! He has been conspicuous in his almost total absence from disc golf for years now, and it's about time he came back to play, and commentate, and be a part of the sport. And BTW, I think Kenny is actually a 14x world champion. Because Masters victories are still world titles, yeah?
For all his accomplishments and game, Ken has a shred of Scott's personality or good will, though his aura as a player is unmatched. Outside of his play, Scott's done so much through teaching and supporting inclusion in disc golf that he's kind of an underrated figure, honestly. That said, Climo has influenced some of the best discs in the game, and I would be curious what he had cooking. Man obviously has a great disc golf brain. I'm just glad he's getting out of the shadows and into the light of the game again (no offense to older divisions of players).
9:28 "down disc golf economy" PDGA / DGPT have made it so hard to watch coveage without paying thru the nose, can't help but wonder how much impact that has on the economy of the sport as a whole.
KC is a legend, but very few players actually move discs, especially players who haven't been active for years. Innova has always had the best financial approach in the market, and this won't change anything.
Maybe I just don’t get it, but I think it would be far greater news if the DGPT announced that time violations were actually going to start getting consistently called and penalized.
It will be interesting to see what Climo is doing. His position over the past few years is that he was happy to just spend time with his family and that he only wanted to casually play disc golf. I don’t know that we’ll see a whole lot more of Climo but sounds like someone threw a bunch of cash his way he couldn’t refuse. I don’t know how much his name would help another manufacturer considering Climo is not an active player.
I don't think he will sign with a disc manufacturer, I think he's signed some sort of long term deal with DGN or DGPT for commentary or like a spokesperson/ambassador job and it's a conflict of interest to be tied to Innova. If he still throws, I would imagine he will still throw Innova stuff and is on good terms with them.
@ Maybe but the problem with that theory is that guys like Doss, Sexton, Philo, and Big Jerm who do commentary for DGN/DGPT are all under contract with manufacturers.

People have found some Ken trademarks on discs names.
" If you can't beat them , foot fault them " Ken Climo
Cold as ice
“If you can’t beat em, call a time violation” Ricky Wysocki
Remember when Kona left innova and everybody was calling them cheap, stupid, etc? Just saying they have a pretty good business direction
Will climo discs come with an official foot fault calling card in the set😂😂😂

There is a noticeable drop in players, on our local courses, and tournaments. PDGA must not know this, yet, or they want it.

I didn’t even know Ken was still sponsored because he never plays? Congratulations 🤷♂️

The immaturity and ignorance is prominent in this video.
