If I won like 300 million dollars, I would buy this exact ladder truck just to drive around my property. Play with the ladder. I would even put a fire hydrant in, so if my house catches on fire, I could help fight the fire! LOL. Us men will always have a little boy still in us until the end. Let's get one thing straight right here and right now every single truck you see is being put to use in those departments. if we don't have them and your house catches on fire and burns down you going to blame us for not having the equipment. And by the way that it but does not come cheap.
Gets the crew there safely, Sets up and runs the truck, Positions the aerial device, Pumps the pump if necessary, and assist with other operations on scene. Thats just a guess, not sure how this department is run, but that is some of the things engineers do around where I live.
My city's "engineers" are called pump operators. They drive the rig, and they operate the rig at a fire. They'll stay on/near the rig during the fire and charge lines/monitor those lines and their pressure. Also they may help with switching out air bottles, setting up and operating the aerial, as A-Pack-of-Alpacas said, maybe starting up K-12s and chainsaws, and running equipment to other people on scene.
This truck runs at lest 10 calls a day normally15 and in are county there all ALS trucks so they respond to every medical call/crash/fire and is one of the biases rigs.CCFR Bought this one then about a year later took delivery of 5 custom Enforcer™ PUC™ Pumper I believe and also are about to take deliver of another costume memorial one.

In are county fire ems and police get what they need to do there jobs fast and well.We voted on bonds and raising taxes so we could afford that.
@@bretts1stuffmain719 why not get for the price of this aerial one more pumper and an European style two man cab ladder only truck on a commercial chassis? This way you put much less miles on the ladder and thus, it's much more likely to be operational when it's actually needed as it's much less likely to get into an accident, or require any additional maintenance, also, it becomes signifficantly shorter, lighter and much more maneurable.
