Hahaha I totally agree! Reminds me of a reel I just saw of a guy who carried a blanket-covered baby carrier into the movie theatre that had two big boxes of wings inside 😂
My daughter and a bunch of friends went to the movies this weekend. I popped some popcorn and put them into cute popcorn bags and put them in my purse. I handed them out. One mom said “I’ll buy mine. I don’t want to get into trouble.” Really? I didn’t see anything wrong with what I was doing. They shouldn’t be charging $10 in the first place! 😂
100% agree with you! I flew from Paris to Helsinki on Finnair recently, and the carry-on allowance is 8kg TOTAL, for your carry-on and personal item combined. I was going on a 3-week trip, and that just wasn't reasonable. In the end, I had to check a bag (and waited 70+ minutes in line to do so because Finnair was so grossly understaffed and inefficient on the ground), but I will NEVER do that again. I'll be following all of your tips in the future!
"Greedflation" is thriving in the travel industry. Pet peeves are bag charges and the cursed hotel "resort fees". Good ideas on carry ons and bags. Thanks for the tips.
I am sold on the vest with pockets: very smart as I don't want to stress out about having something that might get me in "trouble" even if it is a silly rule.
I can't afford the ScotteVest, but Magellan's travel vest is also great. And it's not even me trying to sneak stuff on board. I get a free checked suitcase. But my fanny pack was for being able to have access to things I need during the flight without getting up or having to unbuckle my seat belt.
Yeah if you have a free checked suicase than you should be good to go! If you just want a fanny pack for organization, you can just have it packed in your personal item when you're passing through check-in/boarding gates 🤓
One of the things that irritates me is the people who do overuse overhead storage, sometimes just because they don't want anything under their seat, is that flight attendants don't do anything about it. When people can't find space for their roller bags, I never see the flight attendants go through and ask "who's backpack/purse, etc is this?" It would be so easy to make people put the smaller items under the seat, or find out who brought too many items on, and make room for the roller bags or have the over packers be the ones to check their bags.
If someone has something in there like a jacket or purse up there, I now have no patience and will just move it aside to make room for my bag or I'll cram my bag in and too bad so sad if they don't like it. People should wait until everyone is boarded before putting things like jackets and personal bags in the overhead bin, out of respect. Then if the space is still there for your smaller stuff, then put it up there if you don't want anything at your feet. 🤷🏻♀️
I’m with you and totally agree. I don’t know why the big mama in front of me rolling a oversized😂 carry-on would penalize me with my little hip bag or fanny bag. I weigh 120 lbs + 2 lbs with my fanny pack (passport and wallet). So I weigh less that that big Joe 280 lbs plus his 20 lbs carry-on. So please people…. Thank you by the way as I bought the empty neck pillow case. I was able to bring 2 gifts in my carry-on and therefore transfer my tshirts from the carry-on to the neck pillow case. Saved me fees for having 3lbs over the limit.
Yeah they are pricey, but not that much more than buying a normal name brand jacket. And if you can use it to save on luggage fees every time you fly, it helps offset the price. I personally wouldn't buy one ONLY to wear on flights though. It only makes sense if you are also going to use it in your daily life. Another cheaper alternative would be a vest like this amzn.to/4bILkNu (Amazon affiliate link). I've tried that one as well, and you can fit tons of stuff in it. But it looks super obvious and not sure how long the material would last.
About the Turtyl. I did love it however I couldn’t wear it w my BOSE over the ear phones. U need small noise cancellation earphones but I did love it, so thank you!
I have a Scotvest jacket that I filled full of scarves that I bought while traveling. I looked like the Michelin Man, but did not have to buy another suitcase to brings my gifts home.
I have heard of some airlines that are weighing passengers. Though that seems extreme to me, it makes more sense than them worrying about a fanny pack and neck pillow here and not looking at a passenger that weighs double what I do! To me, that's not a concern about room in the overhead bins or balancing the plane, it is just a concern with charging us for everything they can. So the more we can do to avoid those extra arbitrary fees, the better.
Yeah I totally agree with you! Do you know which airlines are weighing passengers? I mean, it definitely does seem extreme, but at least it's rational unlike most other weight rules!
Another annoying thing for me is that airlines have started telling me to take off my crossbody sling for takeoff and landing. WTF? The thing is strapped across my body and is more secure than the little pillows they give out for international flights. I’ve yet to snag it on anything, and yes, it fits quite nicely under a life vest. Wondering if I should just hide it under my jacket.
Yes! I just got a small cross-body bag by Travelon, basically to hold my passport and phone (and wallet). My carry-on is a backpack and so is my personal item, I wear it on the front. The little bag was also in front under the other. If needed, it could be worn on the back under a jacket. Yes, we get creative 😊
I've travelled so often with cargo trousers (and still do it every once in a while) where I could carry easily heavy stuff like power banks or chargers and cables and such on my body, and almost always with waist bags, and was never asked a single question. The good thing with cargos is also, that you can reach stuff like your power bank easily whiles sitting - you even don't have to bend down for your personal item bag under the front seat. And another good thing is, that you can keep your trousers on in the airplane, keeping whatever is there in in your direct reach and under control. Sounds strange but: you might use such travel vests (which are absolutely great, by the way, I definitely love that thing you showed here) happily for carrying items into the airplane, but most probably you cannot sit comfortably whiles wearing it, so you have to put it in the overhead bin or under the front seat. About hacks to overcome silly airline rules, I guess you are right - it is allowed to find ways to overcome them. But I have two advises for that airline rules problem: 1) choose your airline and the whole travel mode carefully. If you do your proper research You might find out that a "cheap" ticket airline adds all kind of stupid extra fees on everything, including fees for paying the ticket, and you might at the end pay even much more compared to a "normal" ticket of a regular airline where everything including luggage and meals etc. is already included in the ticket price. And if you do your proper research you might find out that there are quite often alternatives to air travels at all. Means there are, just for example, in Europe bus travel companies like Flixbus which carry you to the main cities all over Europe at very cheap rates. Or you look out for a sleeper bus or sleeper train compartment if you travel in India. Yes you might start in the afternoon and reach your destination the next morning, but compared to an afternoon flight and a hotel stay for one night, you might find out the next morning that you saved half of the costs and are still at 6am at the place you wanted to be. And you have to never mind about any luggage hacks. 2) simply travel without overhead. You need your passport, credit cards and money, your laptop and smartphone, your specific medication if you need one, some extra underwear and something to change dress vice. And usually, that fits all in your cabin luggage if not even in a personal item bag, or one of these wonderful travel vests. You do not need to bring flip flops to Thailand or shampoo to Vietnam, or trail runners to the beaches of Bali, you do not have to bring travel towels and travel pillows to hotels in Kathmandu. You can expect that on any place on earth where you can fly, you can also purchase every usual stuff you think you might need there. People are already living there, there are shops, and if there is an airport welcoming international guests, there is also stuff to buy international travelers like to buy. And as long as you don't have to transport gifts to your friends at the destination or your family at home, there is really no need for luggage overhead and/or any more or less smart luggage hacks which would allow you to pack the content of a moving truck into your check-in luggage.
These are all awesome tips! And I agree that cargo pants are probably a bit more comfortable than a jacket full of stuff. The small disadvantage I see to the cargo pants though is going through security you'd have to empty out all your pockets (because you can't take off your pants haha) vs a vest or jacket that you just quickly take off and put in the bin. That said, it might not be a big deal if you don't have tons of stuff in the pockets. You also make a really good point with the buses. It's easy to make the mistake of only looking at the flight time/bus time when comparing transportation options. But a lot of times once you factor in the trip to the airport, arriving 2-3 hours early, the potential for delays, waiting for your checked luggage after your flight (if you have any), then the trip to your hotel....sometimes all that is similar to just taking a bus. Obviously depends on the destinations though!
@@ProjectUntethered Yes true you have to remove stuff from your cargos, but that can be done conveniently with the 'bag-in-a-bag' solution. Whether you stuff your stuff in a ziplock bag or any small purse etc, you can get everything in and out in one drive. About transportation options, nowadays it is even easy to compare thanks to internet and apps and what not. Yet people often tend to check only for flights and ignore other options. And it is not only time calculation which matters, also costs - you might save a costly hotel if you take a sleeper bus, and if you have to pay taxi fares from airport to city instead of being dropped by bus or train straight into the center, or have to pay high rates for meals on airports instead of some pennies for food on the road and so on, that matters as well. And not to forget the whole travel situation - it is much more likely you chat with some locals on a train than that this would ever happen in an airplane. And forget about comparing the luggage situation - on a bus in Asia you might even take your moped with you 😂
@@ProjectUntethered Yes I learned that hack from my grandmother - she passed away in the 60s, yet this hack is timeless. She used to use many different handbags on different occasions. They were all filled with the same stuff like her purse, some hankies, Kölnisch Wasser and so on. And everthing she kept in a kind of shopping bag made from cotton. She simply transferred that cotton bag from one handbag to the next, job done ... 😂 I'm still using that idea today. For example in daypacks - I carry everything inside there in a shopping bag. If I switch the rucksack or need more capacity for carrying any purchases, I simply remove the shopping bag with all that stuff and fill my rucksack with whatever I purchased. Cargo trousers pockets, everything there inside is in a plastic bag/ziplock. Haversack, items there inside are in separate bags, transfering the contents to another haversack or shopping bag etc. in (not even) seconds. And so on. Even compression bags or packing cubes inside your rucksack are following the same principle. And it is not only comfort but also extending your options, sometimes, so e.g. if you use foldable rucksacks/daypacks instead of packing cubes, you have even more options for a walk around at your destination ...😁 I always favor carrying less items over any packing hacks but that bag-in-a-bag-idea is definitely worth of trying. 👍🏻
I always thought that Fanny packs would be considered a personal item? That being said, I think your jacket idea (the vest with pockets) is probably still the best because for many airlines it is stated that a jacket is not considered a personal item (as of this writing; that could change though). However, some airlines (like United and Delta) seem to be pretty generous as to how big your carry-on items can be (for example, Delta, as of this writing, still allos up to 50 lbs in a carry-on to be stored in the bin for domestic flights at least, but it has to fit in the bin). Southwest also doesn't seem to care, and United has never checked mine (last trip was 40 lbs, and even Spirit didn't care as I just paid for a carry-on but nobody checked and that was also 40 lbs). Most domestic airlines don't usually specify a max weight and those that do its either 35 lbs or 50 lbs which is actually quite a bit of stuff and probably more than you can really pack into a carry-on anyway unless you're carrying say electronics and very few clothes. Personally I think the pillow should be allowed and not be counted. Fanny pack may depend. If it's large, then it should be. IF it's small, and you can fit it under your seat with your other personal item bag (backpack) then it shouldn't be, but if your fanny pack is more like a side-bag then it should be counted as a personal item, or if it's considerably heavy. If those pockets in that vest are zippable, that might also just make it a good way to carry around your wallet and other things you don't want stolen, versus using a fanny pack or travel sling/security belt that some people get. Its easily accessible but not so easy (at least it doesn't look that way) that it wouldn't be obvious. Someone would have to reach down in front of you to get to anything it seems, if you have it zipped up. But for carry-on only the biggest thing I've seen people have issues with is actually bag weight, which it is what it is. If it says 22 lbs, then that's what you can pack (and that includes the weight of the bag itself, which some people forget, and that can be 4-6 lbs by itself). In some cases, gate checked bags are not charged if they run out of bin space and yours would have fit but someone else took your spot for example. On many smaller jets it's typical for them to gate check bags that are more than a large backpack since the bin space on these (like a CRJ200) is very small. I knew a few people who would try to bring on an extra large bag on purpose (knowing it was too big only to avoid paying the fee and having the bag gate checked for free, although IMO this is risky because some airlines will charge you an upcharge beyond the normal checked-bag fee if that is the case).
I recently flew to Hawaii and multiple flights home. All flights were American Airlines. Some airports staff were yelling at people their fanny pack counts as your personal item. It wasn't consistent.
I've found the infinity scarf with a hidden zipper very useful when I pack my purse in the personal item. I'm not a big fan of fanny packs. They're tacky and scream American tourist, making one a target for pickpockets. I like the vest with many pockets and the very flat crossbody bag easily hidden under jackets. On my next trip to Europe, I'm going to look at the Ryanair standards, because smaller planes, smaller bags. I'll then get a carrying on to their specifications, which would go below those of the mainstream airlines.
If airlines were really concerned about the weight they're carrying, they would allocate "X" amount of weight per passenger. I'm 150cm tall & weigh 45kgs, so basically the size of a 14 year old child and if I'm 2kg over in my luggage I have to pay extra. But someone who meets the luggage requirements but is 20, 30 or more kgs heavier than me, they don't get slugged with extra fees even though it costs more to carry them just because of their body weight. Check in staff should be using discretion.
It depends on the airline. When using multiple airlines for a trip, I always check each one for their baggage rules and weight allowances and pack for the most restrictive.
I’m with you on the hacks. I travel with a 21 litre Minaal Daily 3.0 And a 1.5 litre Tomtoc Bean Fanny pack that can be worn as a cross body sling or on the waist. Now what would happen if I also wore a 2 or 3 litre sling bag at the same time? Or perhaps wear two 1.5 litre Tomtoc Bean Fanny packs? Would there be a problem?
If you need a place to put them once you arrive in your accommodation, you could always pack an extra empty packing cube in your bag which doesn't really take up any space :)
Playing devils advocate…. Back in the day we were only allowed one cabin bag and ladies took a handbag too. Well obviously the men felt hard done by, so the personal item was born. The fanny pack or packed neck pillow is, and has always been your personal item. Just because the airlines let you get away with it doesn’t mean it’s your right. I agree with the larger person getting more total weight allowance, but until they start to weigh the passenger and all their luggage as one (can you imagine the outcry at that!!!) then there’s nothing much we can do about it. The budget airlines with all their extra charges for meals, snacks, luggage etc is their choice and the passengers, if you don’t like it then don’t fly with them.
I appreciate the devils advocate! To play double devils advocate - even if we accept that the fanny pack/neck pillow has always been the personal item, what is the reason to charge extra for it if it's not taking up any extra space and is essentially part of your body?
It’s not about the balance. More weight equals more fuel equals less profit. One pillow and one fanny pack doesn’t make much of a difference but times a similar weight by 200 passengers and you can see why the airlines are cracking down. I don’t agree with what the airlines are doing but it’s just a fact of life that airlines will cut costs wherever they can.
I can see how that might be a bit confusing 😊 A sponsored video is when a company pays you to make the video and has input into what you can and cannot say in the video. This video wasn't sponsored because they sent me a sample to try with no strings attached. That means I was under no obligation to make a video including their product and they had no input into what I said about it (they didn't even know I was making the video until I reached out and asked for the discount code). The only reason I decided to include their product in this video is because I think it's awesome and wanted to share 😎
It is dumb that a fanny pack or even a cross body bag counts as personal item, it's attached to you. But when you walk through the scanner do TSA not see it
TSA don't care how many bags you have - it's the airlines you have to worry about. When passing through TSA, you'd have to put your fanny pack and everything else in the little bins to go through the x-ray machine
Oh please. U r not a problem at all. Those people that fly Turkish airlines are absolutely ridiculous. They bring like 5 checked suitcases and their carry ons are huge as hell. We had to wait for a whole hour and the carousel to get our suitcases. I only brought 1 checked suitcase and my son had 1. So 1 checked bag for a person. Totally normal. Those other people had 3-5 checked suitcases for a person 🤯
It's hard for me to comprehend what you'd even pack in that much luggage haha. Unless you were moving permanently across the world - and even then, still a lot!
Your small fanny pack plus everyone else's small fanny packs plus huge travel pillows plus who knows what, times the 200 or 300 people on the flight equals higher fuel costs when you add them all together. Fuel costs are one of the highest ongoing expenses for any airline. All the airlines are struggling after the pandemic, and they're trying to cut costs anyway they can.
You may have a point there, but it's hard for me to feel bad for airlines. Their policies are designed to maximize profits at the detriment of their customers. That's why governments literally have to pass laws and regulations to protect travelers from airline's greedy and unethical policies.
The prices of Scottevests are just outrageous. Why not just get an old rain jacket that goes down to your knees and sew pockets on the inside and outside?
That would work too! I don't think the prices are outrageous for what you're getting though. These are top quality and geniusly thought out. I also factor in the luggage fees I save every time I fly. All that said, a DIY option would certainly work as well if you want to save money. If you make one, I'd love to see pics!
@@ProjectUntethered Raincoat down to your knees would offer far more space to work with than some waist length vest or coat. Heavier items would be up high of course. Otherwise the coat would swing hugely when you walk. Another option would be to build an inflatable back so people could sleep on hard airport floors reasonably comfortably! Like an inflatable sleeping pad. Then have it roll up into a duffel bag with a shoulder strap that goes diagonally around your chest for when you arrive.
@@ProjectUntethered You don't need top quality. Just designed so the zippers don't rip apart. So the zippers have to be well made I guess. Or you could design it without zippers on the pockets but then it would need to be rolled up very tight. Or maybe put into an overbag to make sure you don't lose anything. .
@@ProjectUntethered I was just thinking out loud. Hey they should also build soundproof, completely dark, sleeping pods and rent them out in airports at a reasonable cost for people with overnight layovers. People shop around to get a good price (with a stopover) then get delayed at the stopover and have to spring $100-150 for an airport hotel (never cheap). That is so unfair. Or they try to sleep on a hard floor and fail miserably and arrive exhausted and spend the next day or two recovering.
It's not the fact that you are skirting the issue of personal item and carry-on item by "hiding" the neck pillow or sling, it is once someone gets on board the aircraft many individuals will remove those items attached items and use the overheard bins. I appreciate you acknowledge that happening, but most people probably will ignore etiquette and be selfish.
There are reasons for the rules.... $$$$. The airlines make so much in extra luggage fees. Billions! That being said I think everyone should learn to travel with way less. People take too much stuff when traveling.
To stop airlines from introducing absurb rules on personal item carry is to stop making videos about personal carry hacks. Without such videos, airlines won’t impose such tactics 😊
With you 100% the rules are becoming a joke... I normally beat this by checking in online, hence not having to deal with the commision hungry check in agent....
I totally agree. Although I've noticed that recently, a lot of times when I check in online, I get a message saying I need to go to the check-in counter anyways. This might be because I normally travel on one-way tickets though and they need to see proof of onward travel. I wish they'd just let you upload that online as well...
Not at all what I meant! I was just arguing that the airline's weight/plane balance argument seems extremely silly considering everyone has different body weights.
Actually tired of people who get onboard with 2 bags, it is one bag so others can put their bags also! I hate these people who have 2-3 bags tacking up space, they should be forced to check it in!
Can't help but say: A young person who hasn't decades of flying under the hood. Carry-on used to be "carry-on were needed items that went into the passenger part of the plane while the luggage not needed during the flight went inn the cargo part of the plane. USED TO BE . Then things changed little by little over time, both from number of items to size to weight. 15 years ago I already said: How much longer do the airlines put up with this [ to the detriment of fellow travelers ]. Size and number of items, and what kind of items, always was specified. 1) Now travelers get annoyed when rules put in place decades ago are again enforced. 2) Some seem to forget that airlines are business and they can set the rules as they please. 3) Flying used to be much better when travelers were willing to pay what traveling costs. But then came the cheapest is best soon followed by expecting a Lexus for the price of a Yugo. We all better start to accept that there is no socialistic handouts in a capitalistic world. And definitely not so when everyone only thinks bottom line, be it the upper management or the customers. Yes, airline travel has become very stressful, but who is to blame? Few exceptions, but still is better seen as indisputable truth: For every stupid rules there was a stupid/brainless/selfish/obnoxious/.... in about every aspect of our daily life. To end: Dare say that I have used a SCOTTeVEST before most here heard of this company. Their products are AWFULLY EXPENSIVE!" Really? NO, HELL NO even though it was above my price range. Some of the best money ever spent given the many hears I had it and all the benefit it gave - not from being in the air-plane but while traveling. For sure I wonder how many see SCOTTeVEST as greedy? Worse than airlines is the clothing industry, many times over.
Please stop saying that there’s things “they” don’t want you to know. That’s absurd. An educated flyer is their best customer. If you don’t know you’re even more annoying.
Hey maybe this just stuck out to me because I am plus size but I am a little uncomfortable with you calling someone a behemoth in the video. No one wants to be referenced in that way especially plus sized travelers. We're doing what we can to travel as light as possible to not inconvenience others. I apologize if I misunderstood. I believe there was a better way of getting your point across.
My apologies, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I was just trying to make the point that it's silly for people to say that a fanny packs are going to through the plane's weight off balance.
Don't agree. How big of a fanny pack is too big? Can you have fanny pack, personal item, roller bag and neck pillow? I think it's possible you are the guy I don't like to sit next to.
In my opinion, it can be as big as you want assuming the airline doesn't catch you and you aren't invading other people's space. Obviously the bigger, the riskier. I do appreciate you sharing your disagreement though!
That jacket looks too warm. I just arrived in Israel. I find ELAL quite flexible because I’m always about 5 inches larger w my personal bag, always a few lbs heavier on the carry-on AND have a large fanny pack. Maybe it’s because I’m checking in early.
I had the exact same thoughts with the warmth. They have other warmer jackets (like the ones that can fit a full laptop), but since I almost always am traveling in warm destinations, those warmer options didn't make sense to me. I think it would make sense for someone who lives in a place with winter months - that way you can use it as your normal everyday jacket as well as when traveling. But since I don't live in wintery places, I'm really digging the Tropiformer (the one I wore in the video). I just take the sleeves off and always use it in the vest form, which is quite light. Probably wouldn't wear it in extremely heat though.

About the Turtyl. I did love it however I couldn’t wear it w my BOSE over the ear phones. U need small noise cancellation earphones but I did love it, so thank you!
Yeah that's a really good point. When I use the TURTL to sleep, I usually just use normal earplugs (I prefer silicone ones over foam ones though).
"Two-pound dump" 😂💀
Thanks for this update & the tips!
I agree with you totally. Airplane travel is more and more uncomfortable, expensive and now these crazy rules make it stressful as well.
I have a Scotvest jacket that I filled full of scarves that I bought while traveling. I looked like the Michelin Man, but did not have to buy another suitcase to brings my gifts home.
I love it!
Yes you are right thank u for ideas
Love the jacket
Thank you! 😎
There are always people that ruin things for everyone. I’ve seen some with large bags that had to be over, but managed to get thru.
It’s called corporate greed. Airlines are greedy.
Where were you when you made this video? What a beautiful park! Love your videos and learning a lot!
This is in Mexico City! 🌮
I am with you!
Yeah I've had them ask my this once too and I thought it was really dumb.
How does paying extra balance the plane???
Right???
Good point
What do you pack to avoid overheating on the plane? (Especially when hot dinner is served)?
That's a good question! I've never tried it, but what about one of those little battery USB fans?
But I have two advises for that airline rules problem:
1) choose your airline and the whole travel mode carefully.
I love the pockets on my hiking pants for travelling - perfect place for battery, charging cord, and my phone once I'm on the plane.
And forget about comparing the luggage situation - on a bus in Asia you might even take your moped with you 😂
bag-in-a-bag...so simple, yet so clever!
I'm still using that idea today. And it is not only comfort but also extending your options, sometimes, so e.g. if you use foldable rucksacks/daypacks instead of packing cubes, you have even more options for a walk around at your destination ...😁
I always favor carrying less items over any packing hacks but that bag-in-a-bag-idea is definitely worth of trying. 👍🏻
Where do I get this???
Right On !!!
Yeah you are totally right, the interior zipper pockets of the jacket are much more secure than a fanny pack!
Wouldn't it be nice if all airlines had the same size limits??
If airlines were really concerned about the weight they're carrying, they would allocate "X" amount of weight per passenger. I'm 150cm tall & weigh 45kgs, so basically the size of a 14 year old child and if I'm 2kg over in my luggage I have to pay extra. But someone who meets the luggage requirements but is 20, 30 or more kgs heavier than me, they don't get slugged with extra fees even though it costs more to carry them just because of their body weight. Check in staff should be using discretion.
You should be able to have a 30kg bag!
Looks like you are in one of my favorite cities...CDMX
I love it here!
These airlines make do much money yearly and have loop holes on saving corporate taxes.. So why can't I do loopholes on saving me money
Amen to that!
Hi bro, good job. Please does personal items bag should be how many kilos ?
It depends on the airline. When using multiple airlines for a trip, I always check each one for their baggage rules and weight allowances and pack for the most restrictive.
Okay brother. Thank you. You are from Colombia and iam also in Ecuador
Yeah, the rules have gotten crazy!
Hey! I know that park! 😎
So pretty!
so where did you put items from your neck pillow??
If you need a place to put them once you arrive in your accommodation, you could always pack an extra empty packing cube in your bag which doesn't really take up any space :)
I am with you love❤
But please how do i find out ? I am using abianca to europe and i only want to know so that i don' t over pack my personal items.
I strictly fly on Southwest Airlines to avoid the baggage fee nonsense.
I thought by gate checking the bags end up at baggage claim at the destination (that’s what I’ve heard announced)
Which TB backpack is that?
Synik 30 :)
@@ProjectUntethered I have Synapse 19, Brainbag V1, Aeronaut 45 and Medium Cafe bag. Also have.Trtl V1 and V2
If they aren't weighing the passengers, it is all BS. We should wear fat suits as a carry-on? I guess that vest is kind of a fat suit.
People need to quit being sheep. Most of the rules in life are really about making money. Think about it.
If you aren’t a “sheep” when you want to fly, the airlines just won’t let you fly.
Unless you're a wolf disguised as a sheep 😈
@avon1243 I get it. But we must push back. They don't own us. We have more power then we know.
Yeah that's a good point. Well I think they've made enough profits off me, so I'm happy using a bit more of their gas with my fanny pack 😂
"They send me this jacket. This video is not sponsored." XD
Don’t they ask u to remove ur jacket or vest to be placed in a basket?
What @CryingCroc said :)
Comment for algo. Plus, yeah, F the system!
You rock!
We can all agree, better to take a two pound dump before getting on the plane, than on the plane bathroom...
I definitely do not wanna be the guy who needs to take a leak after someone else dropped a two pound behemoth in the plane bathroom.
😂😂😂
Or maybe put into an overbag to make sure you don't lose anything. .
Sounds like you have some inventions you need to pursue!
Yeah taking other people's space is definitely not cool or recommended
If you wear a jacket, vest, etc. don’t you have to remove it while going through security? If do, then the fanny pack would be exposed!
You have to remove everything when going through security, but they don't care how many items you have since they're not working with the airline
@@ProjectUntethered, so they don’t count a Fanny pack as a personal item?
There are reasons for the rules.... $$$$. The airlines make so much in extra luggage fees. Billions! That being said I think everyone should learn to travel with way less. People take too much stuff when traveling.
Amen to that
To stop airlines from introducing absurb rules on personal item carry is to stop making videos about personal carry hacks.
It sounded to me in one of your statements that you were implying that fat people should not fly.
Not at all what I meant! I was just arguing that the airline's weight/plane balance argument seems extremely silly considering everyone has different body weights.
@@ProjectUntethered I'm sure you didn't think that. :) The wording was just iffy. Love your content.
It isn't fair indeed, bc I'm literally half the weight of some people and still have the same restrictions?
Actually tired of people who get onboard with 2 bags, it is one bag so others can put their bags also!
I hate these people who have 2-3 bags tacking up space, they should be forced to check it in!
I agree, definitely not cool!
Be a brat please. No extra fees 😅
For girls: get a bag that fakes pregnancy, and that would at least help you to carry at least 8 kilograms
Great idea for younger ladies... Yes, I'm pregnant. With white hair and retirement age. 😂 Maybe a fat suit would work.
Great idea. I could get one for my hubby. give him a beer belly 😅
I'm tired of airlines nickle and dime-ing us.
Getting real sick of authoritarian and no service air travel.
🫡 Two-pound dump 😐
Better to get that out of the way before getting on the plane 😂
To end:
Dare say that I have used a SCOTTeVEST before most here heard of this company.
What do you do with that fanny pack when they tell you that's 3? Check a bag? Too risky. Bad advice
It's a risk you'll have to take. So far, this risk has paid off for me on the past hundred or so flights without fail. But YMMV.
The airline personnel get lost in your blue eyes and don’t notice what you’re carrying. 🩵😉💙😊🩵
🙈🙈🙈
Right!!
