      Yes it can. I do prefer tulip poplar but my favorite is yucca or dogbane for cordage

      I’ve had to use nettle, agave, yucca, bamboo and several types of trees. I’m in North Arizona in the woods area, you find what you can. All of these plants are great for different uses!

    When it is spring. I have an old empty lot of grass not far from my appaetment and there's always milk weed. Is dogbane a similar looking plant that doesn't have the seed pods.

      Dog bane is similar. The seed pods are much smaller than milk weeds.
