Born in 91 and I feel way closer to the 80s generation than my own. Had older brothers, that probably helped, and a mom from Belgium who loved pop, new wave, disco, type music.
@@mathewbascom1811 That’s cool. My moms family is of Belgian decent. All of the great 80s music is literally at the touch of a button on the Internet, you’re lucky that you can experience that. In my day we had to wait for a cassette tape to come out and you couldn’t always find it growing up in a small town. Do some research and there’s some really great music from the 80s that you will probably enjoy.
Ironic how a beautifully sad piece of music, no matter one's orientation, can bring back memories of halcyon days during 80's-90's club life. RIP Steve Bronski.
I grew up listening to this and slowly over time I learned why it meant so much to me. I eventually went through an 80's moment in the early-00's when I was in my teens, and it's always just kinda kept coming back into my life. What a tragically beautiful song. I think on some level everyone can relate.
This was a number 1 hit in the Netherlands and I played it a lot as a DJ and also danced to it. I don't understand why many people comment whether they are straight or gay, what difference does that make? You're human and you enjoy this song and that's what it's all about. 😉
This featured in every one of my Saturday night radio programs when I was a student DJ back in college nearly 40 years ago... Never getting into a social orientation to any song or its message (I'm a straight man from Hollywood), I still love this song; its opening is simply magisterial....and I SIMPLY LOVED IT....AND STILL DO.
Nothing beat this song! Good old 1980s dance music. The right time to be born during that flamboyant and decadent decade of music, and especially, it was truly British Pop, which changed music history forever. Great memories.
This amazing song makes remember watching and listening to this music video clip on Mtv when I was much younger and things were more simple and more different and that unbelievable piece of art was playing 24/7 everywhere amazing times to be a kid.....!!!!!!! It brings back so many memories of the past....!!!!!!!R.I.P. Steve Bronski you will never be forgotten you are living through our hearts and through our mind's forever.....!!!!!!! This song and this beat are one of those that if you hear it once stays always in your head and in your heart forever and ever......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're still here. And that is something to definitely celebrate for. Celebrate how strong you were and are to keep going no matter how the past treated you. You should be most proud of yourself 🗿
RIP Steve Bronski

Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away (crying to your soul)
Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away (crying to your soul)
Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away (crying to your soul)
Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away
Cry, boy, cry
Cry, boy, cry
Cry, boy, cry, boy, cry
Cry, boy, cry, boy, cry
Cry, boy, cry, boy, cry
Cry, boy, cry, boy, cry
Cry, boy, cry, boy, cry
Cry, boy, cry, boy, cry
You leave in the morning with everything you own in a little black case
Alone on a platform, the wind and the rain on a sad and lonely face
Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away
Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away
Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away
Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away
Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away
Run away, turn away, run away, turn away, run away

Thanks for the effort.
this tune takes me back to my school days in the early 1980s a tune from better majical days!
80' ❤ The best!!
Ahh the 80s. When the ❄️ was pure and the vibes were 👌🏽
Lmao 😅
Lmao 😅
Smoking weed while listening to this hits different… 🖤
Credo sinceramente che questa sia una delle più belle canzoni mai scritte e cantate in qualsiasi lingua del mondo... 💙
La vedo molto speciale personalmente, non può essere più bella del che già è.
my mom and i used to listen to this song when i was growin up, it was one of her favorites in the 80s and it’s one of the countless gems she passed on to me in my youth. can never get enough
We all have that kind of story I swear. It’s crazy
Volume no máximo, e só felicidade.
Love this song...there's nothing like the 80s!❤
Absolute my fave 80s tune!!
I was 8-18 during the 80’s. Best decade ever. Music is like a time machine for me. Man I miss those days.
Born in 91 and I feel way closer to the 80s generation than my own. Had older brothers, that probably helped, and a mom from Belgium who loved pop, new wave, disco, type music.

That’s cool. My moms family is of Belgian decent. All of the great 80s music is literally at the touch of a button on the Internet, you’re lucky that you can experience that. In my day we had to wait for a cassette tape to come out and you couldn’t always find it growing up in a small town. Do some research and there’s some really great music from the 80s that you will probably enjoy.
i agree about missing those days i was 10-20 during the 80s
Ironic how a beautifully sad piece of music, no matter one's orientation, can bring back memories of halcyon days during 80's-90's club life. RIP Steve Bronski.
Can’t stop listening to this masterpiece
Gems from the 80s, the extraordinary voice of Jimmy Sommerville and that hypnotising beat. Absolutely great
One of the best songs of the 80s or any decade. Even more powerful with the video. Love it
I almost lost it when he went 'CRYYYYY!!!' Such pure talent in Jimmy Sommerville's vocals
I am 23 and it hits hard 😢😢
I am going to visit this commit after 10 years
...cry to your soul...damn that's deep, this is a good song...and his voice is awesome and I won't shout it but I can say that I like this song
I grew up listening to this and slowly over time I learned why it meant so much to me. I eventually went through an 80's moment in the early-00's when I was in my teens, and it's always just kinda kept coming back into my life. What a tragically beautiful song. I think on some level everyone can relate.
Ahh, the good old days . What a tune . Bronski Beat . Small town boy.
damn, i never realised before how deep those lyrics are
One of the greatest songs ever
I love 80's
This was a number 1 hit in the Netherlands and I played it a lot as a DJ and also danced to it.
I don't understand why many people comment whether they are straight or gay, what difference does that make?
You're human and you enjoy this song and that's what it's all about. 😉
We miss the days dancing in Utrech at the Cartouche!
Heard this on euphoria it instantly Brought back childhood memories happy days loved the 80s 😊
I just heard this song in the movie “Parting Glances” from 86 and took me right to my youth in the 80’s.
This is a BEAUTIFUL song, coming from the BRONX NYC STREETS, no matter what it’s about the song is AMAZING!!
& im a Hip Hop junkie.
Will forever remind me of my mum and times we have had listening to this ❤
Top Tune, Takes me back to my youth
LOVE THIS SONG ITS FROM MY CHILDHOOD.....
I like this jam, this jam clearly tells a story of triumph. Guilio u couldn't be more right.
best antidepressant ever existed!
An anthem for everyone, who had to leave their Home, way too early, to find the truth on their own. Hope y'll found your Peace too.
This song has been my soul since I first heard it when I was 15.
This song sounds so modern, like it could come out today. And it's 40 years old!
Euphoria got me here
same !

Same!
That party scene with this song was amazing.
This song had has a power ⚡
Nothing beat this song! Good old 1980s dance music.
The right time to be born during that flamboyant and decadent decade of music, and especially, it was truly British Pop, which changed music history forever.
Great memories.
Captured the 80's in a few minutes
I love💘the 80's! Song is GOLDEN
this song will never die to me.
80’s my best era🤘🏽
This amazing song makes remember watching and listening to this music video clip on Mtv when I was much younger and things were more simple and more different and that unbelievable piece of art was playing 24/7 everywhere amazing times to be a kid.....!!!!!!! It brings back so many memories of the past....!!!!!!!R.I.P. Steve Bronski you will never be forgotten you are living through our hearts and through our mind's forever.....!!!!!!! This song and this beat are one of those that if you hear it once stays always in your head and in your heart forever and ever......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was that boy ...to this day the past haunts me ...
You're still here. And that is something to definitely celebrate for. Celebrate how strong you were and are to keep going no matter how the past treated you. You should be most proud of yourself 🗿
