I have an interview for a transportation manager at jb hunt. Thanks for the insightful video.
I had 9 different fleet managers in the 3 years I worked out of Haslet. It got to a point that everytime I got assigned a new FM, I didn't have the enthusiasm to meet them anymore.
9 in 3 years… that was about 1 every 4 months. Sounds right

Good topic Moses! Which one do you think is better? load pay or hourly pay?
I did work with a trucking company that paid by the hour and I loved it because it takes away the pressure of rushing.
On the other side, I understand why companies don’t like paying by the hour. Drivers abuse the system. They just like putting in the least amount of work but be paid the most they can get.
I had fellow drivers that were mad at me that I made them look bad because I was always in a hurry.
I just didn’t know how to waste time. If I don’t keep up my pace, I usually get tired. I just know how to get my work done and move to the next thing.
@@driversuccess Did the company ever take advantage of that quality in you?
@@Papa_Owl I haven’t shown interest in getting into management. If I did maybe they would consider me. I don’t know 😀
@@driversuccess I actually meant running you to the last minute because I work for a company that delivers groceries and pretty much every week a 16 hr day is guaranteed. We’re paid by the hour and some drivers have pointed out to take your time otherwise they like to put runs on you that gets you close to 14 hrs
@@Papa_Owl oh, I get you now.
No they didn’t. They were a good company and they were also strict with logs.
But they would give me loads that they had forgotten about that were on a very tight schedule or loads that were tough to deliver because of tight space.They had a few of us that they knew they could count on to do our best.
I liked it because it was like a challenge to me and I also knew that I could “easily” get what I needed (like if I needed some time off abruptly) because I was valuable to them.
Would you mind telling me a good video editing tool I can use?
Editing on mobile phone, LunaFusion (paid) and VN (free). I personally use LumaFusion. On desktop/laptop I like Filmora.
I’m planning on making a video to share the tools I use because someone also asked about it.
