I was lucky enough to get this complete walk on. 2 or 3 people per cycle all day. Probably rode it 20 times in a row. Couldn't get enough. An absolute masterpiece and definitely my favourite traditional woodie. Toro feels like a modern RMC so its hard to compare
GhostRider will always have a special place in my heart. I’d say it was the coaster that helped me get over my fear of coasters. I went to Knotts as a field trip in 8th grade, and I wanted to back out of this ride before my friends convinced me to get on. I was nervous because as a child, I always saw GhostRider as a scary ride for older people, such as some of my older cousins. Nonetheless, I got on the ride and I haven’t looked back. Even though I’ve become more of a fan of Magic Mountain and the thrilling rides that they offer, I’ll always have fun whenever I’m riding GhostRider
I love GhostRider. I'm still annoyed in my recent visit the line was over 2 hours long spilling well past the entrance. Got super lucky on my first Knotts visit where I got 14 rides on it and was almost walk on all day. Definitely a top tier wooden coaster.
YEA IF your a regular visit to KNOTTS? Get a blue pass for GR which is near the bakery and shops area by GR rollercoaster???
It's the dang cubbies which makes load n go VERY slow. Lockers would be much faster
I love Ghostrider to the point where I remember what the ride sounds like at each part of the ride.
It's my favorite wooden coaster in the Western US (including Texas). It's also the longest wooden coaster west of the Mississippi River.
I love GhostRider so much! It’s my favorite wooden coaster and my 3rd favorite overall.
I had went to Knott's back in December and even though I had ridden some other intense coasters before (Cannibal & Roller Coaster at Lagoon), something about GhostRider always seemed intimidating with that lift hill at the entrance. That being said, though I was scared of it not wanting to go on it during my first visit in 2017 I did get a night ride in 2021 and it was a ride that I'll never forget. The amount of care that Knott's puts into that ride is incredible and it's insane how smooth a wooden roller coaster like it can be. It still ties for me with other coasters such as like Gold Striker & The Joker RMC as to which is my favorite, but it's a ride that makes me feel confident that I can tackle some of the other intense rides at Knott's next time I visit such as Silver Bullet and Hangtime as I feel like GhostRider was not as intense as I thought it was going to be initially though maybe my thoughts will change once I get a back row ride on it.

Used to be my favorite woodie. It’s been surpassed as I’ve traveled out of CA, but always holds a place in my heart. I just wish it didn’t take a full hour to ride it every time, no matter how busy the park is.
even though it isn’t super tall or steep, I always get a crazy stomach drop going down the first drop. I absolutely love Ghostrider, it’s my 2nd favorite coaster only behind Twisted Colossus!
I’m super scared for this ride because I’ve had pretty bad experiences from larger rides (back injury on incredicoaster) but I really wanna go on this one. This video makes me feel more confident knowing what’s going to happen!!
I've been on it when it was the original, then rode it in 2017 and hopefully will get to ride it in 2023. It is a fabulous coaster.
Dang I love this ride, seat 12, there's nothing like it. The air time is so sustained and the ride is so wild, SO SO wild. If you haven't had a ride on this, get on, seat 12!
At the very top of my bucket list! Had plane tickets booked to LA to visit Knotts the weeks after Covid started, and at this point, it may be awhile till I’m able to make it now
GhostRider is my personal number 1, out of the limited credits I have. El Toro is at my home park, and I have to say they compliment each other.

Great video ! Was just riding this beaut the other day. This ride is amazing ! Second fav woody next to el toro. This coaster hauls and doesn’t stop. Perfect balance of wooden ricketiness and smoothness/ speed. A night ride on it is even better. Truly a gem. Back row is a must ride. Seaworld SD needs a woodie like this to add it it’s line up

I was first in line for Ghostrider today, I rode it twice, what an amazing wooden coaster, that 2nd half gets me excited like I really love it I used to be scared of Ghostrider especially that first drop, working my way towards getting on Silver Bullet and Hangtime
is the first drop bad? i want to ride ghostrider to get over my fear but the first drop scares me a lot

I love this ride as it was my first “big” thrill coaster when I visited the park as a kid. Even though I think Gold Striker at CGA is better, GhostRider will have a special place in my rankings.

Is this the only GCI wooden rollercoaster that doesn’t do a drop turn? I suppose there is a slight turn but for the most part I think this is the only one with a straight first deop
I’m not sure but the layout was originally CCI which might be why it’s not like other GCI layouts.

I wish that The Gravity Group was the Company that could have gotten their hands on Ghost Rider back then. By using their Prefabricated, Engineered Pre-cut Wooden Track, The PTC Trains could still be operating on the Coaster. Those Airtime Killing Millennium Flyer Trains from GCI really SUCK!! Coaster Enthusiasts are always complaining about PTC Trains with Racheting Lap Bars?? Hell, I used to get TONS of Great Airtime with those Trains, and ride ops never stapled me in. I'm so glad that Holiday World stuck with The PTC Trains after The Gravity Group worked on it. There is NO slamming down in your seat from Airtime on Ghost Rider with the Airtime Killing Millennium Flyer Trains. You're Exaggerating quite a bit about the Airtime on Ghost Rider with the current Trains.
Unpopular opinion: Ghostrider isn't that good. It's got some nice laterals and some airtime, sure. But, really, everything Ghostrider does well, the original (untwisted) Colossus did better.
I haven't even ridden this the last 10 times I've been to Knott's because I'd rather reride Hangtime, Silver Bullet, Xcelerator, etc. Seriously, why do people love this thing? I legitimately do not understand.
