The pouch on the back of the helmet is a battery pack for the headphones and the night vision goggles. Good review and thanks for taking the time to do this.
IRL, the ammo for an M60 or similar belt-fed machine gun, would be linked together and not on any actual belt at all. What comes out the other side are a shower of spent casings and separated links.
That makes much more sense. While it would have been cool, I guess an effect that looked like that probably wouldn't be practical to produce. Thanks for the info!
I removed the arm tattoos but it wasn’t easy. Isopropyl didn’t work neither did lacquer thinner. I tried the Windsor and Newton brush cleaner that many people said worked but it didn’t at all for me. Finally got it off with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner. Improves the look of the figure 50% imo. Painting him a uniform OD green improves it even more. Baffling they gave him a mixed white and green shirt. Makes no sense. I also replaced the ammo belts and M60 with the Gridiron ones.
Looks good. Wonder if I could get those tattoos off with some paint thinner for a more classic look. Hopefully I can pick one up on sale at some point and give it a shot.
Ah, nice! That makes more sense. It looked like it was meant to slot into the ammo box, but didn't seem to click into place like I expected. I do wish they had included a half spent one.
Thanks for the review, I was wondering if that wristband could come off and from the review it looks like it can. Btw thanks for caving in from the peer pressure to do the review 😂
I wouldn't object to color, but I like the all black just fine. I know a number of people who specifically avoid color because it fades more drastically. Especially in sunlight. So a surfer avoiding it makes sense.
On a related note, I'd still be interested to see the Blackout Storm Shadow in Classified just to see how it turns out. I'll probably check out that Hiya Toys release if I can find it for the right price.
LOL What a world we live in when "pretty dumb" is considered strong language! LOL But yeah, I get ya! Working long shifts will do that. But anyway, I can't wait for this figure! From the first images, I was hyped, love this updated look. This is the figure I am most looking forward to. And I agree, the one thing I don't really dig on is the green bipod, but it's not a deal breaker. And I don't think there would be any "strap" coming out of the gun from the ammo belt, I think it breaks apart after the cartridge is spent. I think. But it sucks about the magazine box not fitting on the figures belt. That's got to be what that hole in the belt is for. But thanks for the vid and review, makes me more excited for him. I got him preorded on Amazon, don't think I'll be getting him early. And I ordered two, cause "I love Rock N Roll!"
Pretty dumb is a harsh criticism from me. 😂 I think you're right about the ammo belt and I do think the box will plug in with a little more effort. As always - appreciate the comments!
I couldn't tell, but other reviews have shown that the pistol didn't have a port for blast effects. I want to know if this is standard or did they have a QC issues with theirs?
I didn't even think about it, but I'm pretty sure mine doesn't. I'll check when I get home. I wonder if it's an older part they reused. I can't remember off the top of my head if there was one like this before.

Oh, nice detail! Thanks for the info!
I just received mine today. It's perfect and I'm keeping the box.
He looks awesome 👍
I didn't expect he'd be so good!

What a super cool dude 🤘
Reminds me of that 80’s show tour of duty
Underrated show. My dad loved it.

the little “tab” on the end of the ammo belt sticks out the gun as thats the feed start

😂 Yeah, the wristband definitely comes off. I should've popped it off during the review.
Yes, Dave there should be spent casings on the ammo belt. Do you think R 'n R's tats would look better with color added?

Actually, there wouldn’t be because the belt is made of little clips that flies apart after being fired and the brass ejects along with it.

Nope no hole in this pistol and really no space for one. It's very narrow. And I'm pretty sure it is completely new.
