Quality of life streamlining does not make a game good, and in fact can make it worse in some aspects.
At the same time though, many people have like... a life? I know this will sound condescending, but I feel like WoW was THE thing with teenagers who had way too much free time on their hands back then, as it does seem like quite a time incineration machine. Streamlining things can save a lot of time, and while I get that some people need the 'hardcore super experience', I really enjoy games which respect my time enough to not constantly waste it with little reason.
I know it's just banter, but any and every time Rob and Ryan broach the subject of sexuality or BDSM i kinda want to just be on call to discuss it with them because i can answer every question they ask. Also, while it was not true here, poor Austin sounds so exasperated being asked ANYTHING about sexuality i think he deserve a break and i volunteer :)
I wouldn't recommend Morrowind for egg either, because it's for actually smart people.

last game was unbelievable. Rob investigated sinvicta when he knew he was bad, claiming BBR when it is RRB, both Austin and Rob being overwhelmingly vocal when liberals were 1 policy away from victory while fascists were very far away, that was super well played by the fascists too I have no clue how they got that victory

All modern TES games (Morrwind, Oblivion and Skyrim) are all very different from another. Each have their strengh and weaknesses. But Oblivion is very accessable and quite fun for a casual playthrough. And the Shivering Isles is maybe the best Addon in all of gaming.
That last game, I was SO SURE that Rob was a facist so was Austin. Kate was pretty quiet the whole time, so I was thinking she was a solid contender for hitler, but I was also suspicious of Justin.

Oblivion is better because it has random dungeons.

In Geoguessr it's funny how easy it is for me to see we are in the Netherlands. For some reason I can just always see even if we are there, even without any real context clues.
Classic WoW was a different beast. The entire map was always in use because the games was designed with that map. Expansions only worked to make the old parts of the map irrelevant. A lot of the QoL changes aren't good in my opinion. For example in the past you would actually have to engage in the story of quests to complete them, but now you're just following breadcrumbs. Also Classic WoW isn't that time consuming. A lot of the daily tasks, etc. where added later so you won't have to sink that much time in classic if you don't want to. The combat is also much simpler. When you see someone in cool armor you know they worked for it.
In general there where a lot of changes to WoW over the years that took it from a well crafter interconnective world with a lot of meaningful handcrafted story too a power fantasy with stripped back story, lots of mtx, and lots of repetitive tasks to do on the regular. Does that mean you should play WoW classic? No, but it means that if you choose to there is much more there for you than just the nostalgia. Take it from me I never played classic. I just learned how much better it is through playing it during the last few days.
I would recommend Morrowind. But only multiplayer.
