I did just loosen the two small bolts until it clicked tighten it back the clicking went away but now the bike doesn’t want to start or if I get it started it runs slow sounding and eventually stalls I never touched the big bolt I need help as this is my transportation please help if possible
@@hadaramibikerhadramout217 so when you reinstall the plunger (middle bolt) it should automatically readjust the right tension and stop when it touches the guide ?? so 2 up and down bolt and middle in the end ? and did you cleaned it or just reinserted the whole thing ? Seems easy and simple but scares me.
good vid looks lot easier on your model then mine been the zx6r 2006 is a bitch to do tank and throttle bodies off and you need baby hands was changing it for a manual cct but put the auto one back
I'm about to do my first valve clearance check on my 05 ninja 636. 26,000 miles (yea I'm a bit late) I've been reading forums and read there is no choice but to change to an aftermarket CCT like the "A.P.E" branded one. They say the oem tensioner is not adjustable and will only work for so long as the chain and parts wear. I'm curious why you put your oem tensioner back in? I'm thinking I'll need to adjust my CCT or atleast check it out while I'm in there.
@@motov8-garage832 only put the ome one back as I couldn’t put the after market one in it’s that tight to be honest my hands are like over grown apes to big will get the garage to swop it over 😀😀 but keep up the videos
Thank you, had this issue on my 2010 it was driving me nuts, then I wash this video and how to do both ways to get it to properly tension
Habe ich auch gerade zur Zeit 636C 40000km habe ich vor 7000km ein Klick schon mal gemacht.
Gutes Video 👍🏻
My 08 is doing the same thing, I'll try this next, do you know what causes it and how to permanently fix it?
Hey man could you update me on if it worked?
@@daultontippett5300 yes. It slowly went away, after that and an oil change.
The Cause is cam chain,it's extended a little bit. Right thing to do Is to put new chain
Chains stretch thats why you have a automatic chain tensioner. They are sticky and dont work well it seems@MrVukovicivan
lekker boys 🤙🏻
Thank you.
This is great thank you! Im having trouble getting to the top bolt, any tips?
Did you figure it out!
I figured it out, took abt a day, I got it fixed and I LOVE the bike, just bought it, and I never wanna sell it

Should it be at tdc when resetting
I was told to have bike running and loosen bolts till you hear that click then it will be back to normal with no rattling aka kawi click
thank you👏🏿
Did you have to set your timing when you put it back in or just removed and reinstalled without having to remove the side case?
Hi Kyle.
I didn't do anything to the timing. This is just to adjust the tension.
@@DeanMK12 yeah but I have the same issue, scared to adjust it because sometimes the timing can be fucked
@@malachifine24 hay bro have you did yours , and what way did you followed?
@@DeanMK12 hay bro, so the clear way is to put the gear in N and not moving the bike, open the tensioner reset it and reinstallit just like that
