Thanks dude for this content,, my mi band 3 is fixed, alhamdulillah.. So this trick save my mi band 3 with power bank 2,1A just 3 minute, mi band was on and charging normally.. (edited.... Charging with my power bank, and i choose with 5V 2,1A... its work...)

When the Mi Band 2 is deeply discharged, the display is very dark. I hadn't used my Mi Band 2 for several years and when I wanted the display was almost completely dark. I charged the device several times in a row and the display got brighter and brighter. I think it can also be due to the battery.
So you mean it won't explode.. coz I'm facing the same issue😅
PS: I didn't use it in past 2-3yrs

I used mi 2 and they said charge immediately after its low on battery but i forgot and it is dead.. 😔😔
I think this method would wakeup a dead battery but if used continously will eventually shorten the battery life sooner than expected since 65mA maximum is specified on the xiaomi manual.

I don't have a power bank and mine was DOA, however I found it to be a cable seating problem when charging. I would personally try plugging the mi pod into the charge harness a few times ensuring you press it in firmly and possibly even apply a little pressure - pressing the pod into the charger. Then press the button and see if you have a reaction, wait 10 minutes and repeat for 3 cycles of this before giving up.
Right, the charging cable is a bad design. Good thinking.

The reason deep discharge recovery usually works with a USB power bank is that the devices have a slightly higher output voltage than a standard USB charger, around 5.2V DC. Anyway, thanks for the idea...

DonJuanitoBE didn't worked with original Samsung's charger 5.2V but with fridge 10 minutes method and power bank method come to life.

@@HarisBubalo mine band 2 is just vibrating sometimes and it shows the green light which comes from behind of the band. Just this nothing else. Screen is not turning on.

Clean the points with cotton cloth it worked for me and my band is dead for 4 months..... Might work!!

I had lost my watch for about 2-3 or even 4 years and it has almost been a week since i found it, i bought a new charger for it without even doing anything and thought the old charger was not working. Before i lost it, it wasn't charging and after i watched your video and used the power bank it started to vibrate and waited for 10-15 mins and it didn't after wards, i tried plugging in and out a several times. The display is not working or should I keep it for charging for a long time?

When charge after 3 years its screen doesn't light up, it keep vibrating, Bluetooth name appear in phone and can be connected but its not showing anything on screen and don't stop vibrating

I would try to clean the metal contacts of the charging cable and watch with 100% alcohol. You have to leave the watch connected to the charger for a few hours.

Just plug the charger into the PC usb port. It works.

Miband 2 was not a good product. Miband 4 is in the market, get that.

you are right, its 5v...... but power charger actual output current is 3.7c

i think not actually 3.7v because if the voltage same with battery maybe not charing..
the voltage of charging battery is up to 3.7v but usually the voltage charging under 4.25v.. :)
rodolfo banola as per manual of miband 2 you should only charge it with the laptop or desktop usb. You have dead battery because you used too high rating for charger. Even the cheap charger uses 500mah output at 5v which is over the rating specified on the manual.
