Because in reality metalcore doesn't sell very well. Arena rock and metal does. Those styles are also less likely to give you a vocal injury when you sing them.
Eventually you need to evolve and not write the same type of music. It can get stale and not everyone’s gonna find it interesting.

For those wondering why Danny doesnt do more music like this in an interview he had mentioned how he doesnt really enjoy this music and he has also stated this while live streaming on twitch. This was what i can only see as a labor of love for the fans :) Danny takes better care of his voice now and the results do show. Talented guys doing amazing work regardless. What a wonderful performance this one.
Maybe I’m just nostalgic but I’d love a remastered version of stand up and scream beefed up with all the years they’ve had to learn and grow. It being even heavier would be a plus haha so glad they still out there playing these songs though

Omg this takes me back!! I remember the day this album released, I had to have it so I got it and I listened to the whole thing a million times in the 1st week alone!! Not the American average is still forever my favorite, that and the final episode are the 1st 2 songs I ever learned how to play by AA on guitar
This gives me hope for AA. They were dog shit terrible in 2018 when I saw them last. I was incredibly disappointed after being so excited to finally see them for first time since 2011.
I caught their set at Blue Ridge last year and they sounded not so great. I definitely miss the good old days haha saw them way too many times around the first two albums
Danny doesn't go as high with his fry screams but those cleans were amazing. Also, what happened to the ending?...I was waiting for the "You need a doctor baby, you scared?" With the techno beats.

You say that Danny can scream? But you apparently didn’t hear how the rest of the vocalists scream correctly and skillfully, trust me. Check Landmvrks and their live show after that.

This is the best they've played this style in a long time. Danny put forward a really good effort this time. Great job guys. AMAZING cleans aside, at 4:40, those some OG lows there. Sounds like he used to. All in all it's really fucking good dude.
in his prime he was very versatile with his screaming voice but a little wobbly with his cleans. now he has matured and sings better overall, although his screams now sound a little forced, but still decent. bands mature or change, so do vocalists, take it or leave it

He’s come so far from before the split. I remember seeing his decline back in the day, it was scary for sure. Dude basically followed in Nikki Sixx’s footsteps. So good to see him find his happiness, marry Victoria, and make such a strong comeback.

It doesn't really matter if you prefer new Asking to old Asking. What can't be denied is that haven't achieved high record sales, streams & views since they've changed music styles. Which means they're first 4 albums is what bought them all there success. So with that being said he'll always have to play the old stuff to make the tours worth it for people to consistently buy tickets & come see them.
That's the reality of their business
It'll never happen but they should really re record either this album or r&r with Danny's current voice

No way in hell that happens nor should it happen. These guys are in their 30s now and don't want to revisit the early stuff really, especially Danny. He hates this album. Stand Up is a nice time capsule for those of us who were teens in that era, it's fine as is. Plus, the lyrics are very teenager-y in a way that would def not translate well into a "softer re-imagined"
