A few notes: The Dreamweaver's Insanity also forces the Insane Town to use their ability randomly at night. If they can visit, they will visit randomly(they cannot visit roles they normally would not be able to target, example being an Insane Seer would still not be able to visit Revealed Townies.) They will still get full results of that visit. If they cannot visit(example being an Insane Veteran) they will always use their ability. In this case, the Veteran will be forced to alert every night until they run out of charges. If the Necromancer tries to use a corpse that a Retributionist is also targeting, whoever joined the lobby first will get priority over that corpse. Unfortunately this also means that depending on who joined the lobby first, if there are only a limited amount of corpses for Retributionists or Necromancers to use, one may be locked out of their ability for most of the game. A Potion Master who uses the Heal potion on themselves can be seen by a Tracker, Lookout, or Trapper visiting themselves(though the Trapper won't know that), and will be attacked by a Crusader, though also subsequently healed by both the Potion and the Crusader. Similarly, an Illusionist Illusioning themselves will also be seen as above.
@@ItsFate That's literally what I said. I said that the Insanity's random targeting cannot make a Seer target anyone it could not normally visit either. Which is revealed townies.
Atleast since necro can use most corpses unlike retri, in all any the retri-necro issue doesnt happen much, but i guess its more common in classic-ranked. Also it seriously lobby joining prio? i would have though it was by number (which rarely matches the lobby join order as it changes when selecting name), but i guess no.
Unless I’ve had some crazy coincidences lobby join order does not determine corpse priority instead it is your number on the list lower number has higher priority.
NOTE: People often use Coven Killing to refer to the current coven role that is doing the killing (the one with the necronomicon), instead of conj/rit/jinx. For example someone might say “I got witched but didn’t get attacked, so witch is not Coven Killing”
Just a little bit of extra notes here: Amnesiacs hard counter a Medusa (as of now) since they can remember the role that was stoned. The basic attack from the poison is dealt at the night of the poison. This is because a player gaining non-cleric protection will still die to poison. A Wildling can target other coven members when they don't have the book. Unlike the Enchanter, the illusionist can make a Coven player appear as not a killer to a Coroner. The Jinx *WILL* attack a town traitor that visits their target.
11:21: Actually you can guess NE with invincible defence and Transformed apoc. Its just that they will survive your attack. Only Town Investigative roles are guess immune
You can guess War as berserk and you will deal unstoppable attack to the War but War will survive the attack. Same thing goes with other Apoc roles except Soul Collector because Death can't exist during the night (if it does, game ends in apoc win)
I have a great experience with Conjurer and Illusionist. However, I managed to help my poisoner (I was Medusa) claim TPow. They claimed Jailor of all things as we won with that LOL In reality, the real one was stoned.
On the Dreamweaver, its funny because insane people will know that who they hanging is Dreamweaver a bit before the chat message telling role appears, because insanity gets removed as soon as the person "dies" like the Jester Haunt message. Not thaaaat useful, but its interesting
I think Illusionist should be buffed to be able to change the apparent cause of death on their target similar to enchanter’s alterate ability that way an illusioned player isn’t confirmed coven.
Does the game auto end once it's 1v1 or does the Potion Master have to be killed at night in this scenario? I'd assume the latter, since vigi vs PM could be a scenario.
Another fakeclaim for the Jinx that I love to use, is claiming Town Power, and specifically Monarch or Jailor. If you are caught as the Jinx, but its only one person, you can claim Jailor or Monarch(though Monarch won't fly if its d3 or further, as usually Monarch's should've knighted by then.) This either allows you to vote the person who outed you, or live another day anyway as people might say "Let Jailor exe", if you claimed Jailor. Ofcourse, you wouldn't be able to execute, but it could buy you enough time to get another kill.
i hate illusionist it gets the book after hex master and PM which REALLY don't want the book he does nothing 95% of the time tps are usually cleric and crus you have to guess who tis are checking and don't even get me started on your interaction with *crusader*
Imo Illu should have astral visits and the person you visit will be taunt immune RB immune and will have astral visit aswell (and bc this sounds a little too powerfull it should make it so you get the necronomicon 10th (before Hex and after Voodoo I think?)

Seers can't go on revealed Townies anyway

I think Coven’s Killer would be better to refer to as book holder

Ah yeah I should have said you could still guess, but it wouldn't kill!
I struggle with Fake claims as coven :) this was super helpful for me! Thank you for creating this. You’ve got a sub from me!

Nice video!
Make sure to pin this so it doesn’t get lost in the forest of comments
@@etheranlegend8000 Oops thought I did
This was so well made and educational! Great job!
i would love to see more guides from you, great stuff!!
i know this is outdated but as a new player this was fantastic

W suggestion, it deserves to be posted in the discord.
Enchanter imo, is the 2nd coven role with the easiest ability to fake claim.
Especially in set role lists.
Even better when someone DC's D1, just change them to Enchanter, or someother Coven
Thank you Chelly for this helpful guide
Another small thing I did not see for Potion Master. Potion Master cannot use the Heal Potion on themselves in a 1v1. This was added in a small patch

PM claimed cleric?
Would you mind later on doing a more in deprh guide for the rest of the coven roles?
Side note: If a apoc role survives meteor, they WILL get hanged as its a dead ringer for them.
You read all the comments! must be exhausting.

Srsly Make PM the New 15th role to get the book. Roles behind get pushed one slot ahead to compensate
14th because of jinx but yeah illusionist 100% needs the book before pm
I killed an illusionst as crusader today.
