To be completely honest I would never pay $12 for a used MAC lipstick when I could go to the counter and pay $4 more for a brand new one... That's just me. I did enjoy the video though!
Cara Roberts glad you enjoyed the video! and no problem about the price. I honestly wasn't sure how to price it because I haven't really done this before. I had to add in costs of sending invoices via PayPal and of course packaging and shipping costs. all I can do is give it a go and see how it turns out. I'd love your opinion on how to price a lipstick that's been swatched less than 3 times. what do you think?
Thanks for replying :) I was thinking $8 plus the $2 for shipping was a little more reasonable. An even $10 seems very fair to me. But this is really just my opinion. Definitely do what's comfortable for you!
BeautyBuzzHub I'd say at most, half of the MSRP. If they retail at $16 ($0 shipping on MAC and Nordstrom websites), it's difficult to persuade anyone to purchase a used one (even if you haven't put it up to your mouth, it's considered "pre-owned") for more than $8 ($6 + $2 shipping).
Actually glambot sells mac lipsticks all the time from $10-14. Ppl will buy them. If someone doesn't want to pay $12 for a gently used Mac lipstick , they don't have to buy it 😊

I enjoy watching this kind of videos. I do understand that sometimes the formula doesn't work with what you want. Nevertheless, why on earth would you get so many colors you already know you don't like?

Definitely do more of these videos, I love them :) I liked the first way you did the video though the second way did grow on me. Maybe do the first way and then halfway through show the drawer like a mini update. Also I find something that helps when it starts to feel like your keeping them all is halfway through empty the container. I find as the leaving pile gets bigger people start to keep more items.

BeautyBuzzHub I work in 3 different ERs and all of them I work the night shift, so things are always crazy for me LOL. I try to remember to check IG every night, but that doesn't always happen. I have started my list, just in case :)
I never reach for my frost formulas. They're so pretty, but they just sit on my dresser. I decluttered my lippies once, but I need to do it again and be tougher with my selection. haha I like these videos, so bring on more!

You are so damn good at this. I had 120 mac lipsticks and over the course of a couple months I only have 1 now. I'm now into liquid lipsticks and i'm limiting myself to 10 or less. (I had no other brands of lipstick only mac)

I love these videos!
I have so many of these colors and they look so different on me because my skin tone is NC25. They show up very light without my foundation and lip primer on. Amorous looks like a muddy toned down berry color on me and on you it looks alot like the way D for danger looks like on me. Its so funny how the same colors pull differently on everyone. Great video by the way. I know this is like 4 years old but I hope you got a decent return on the lipsticks you sold!❤

BeautyBuzzHub for someone new to MAC lpsticks what finish would you suggest? :)
glittermaven5 ohh good questions! it really is personal preference but I enjoy the glaze and luster finishes because they are more sheer so they are easier to just throw on without a mirror. I also love the cremesheen because they are creamy! lol oh and the matte formula is pretty great too. I mean I like them all for different reasons so sorry I am no help! xo
HAHAHAH.. too funny.. :) no its totally ok, that helps me know if i want something a bit more sheer, or with more PUNCH... actually while you were talking about them, i was trying to keep in mind the kinds i liked the most that u were saying, and most were the cremesheen ones. :) so maybe that is best for me to try. :) YOU DID HELP :)
Ebay is a great place to get TOP DOLLAR for the limited Edition ones, I have seen some going for over $100+ the hard to find colors. I live on ebay and purchase all my everything collection's from there.
Be careful on there. Some of the makeup is cheap because they use really harmful products
I have a collection of expensive Rare hard to find Urban Decay and over 20 very hard to find collectable Two Faced Palettes also have the Limited Edition Divergent Box set that cost me $240 I am going to resell it because its new in the original plastic cover with the movie ad on the front because I found another one much cheaper on 'Poshmark' website without the cover that I am now using. I also have Tart Open after dark~ True Blood Series edition which I love to use and many other collectable ones including the first Kat Von D VENUSTA IMPETUS personal make up Book. I want my collection to be the best of the best. But thanks for the warning.

To be quite honest- at the time I made this video - I had so much because makeup was a huge passion and I loved collecting and having a lot of shades. I was a freelance makeup artist and consultant so I needed to be familiar with many shades to suit my various client's needs. I'm not currently an active MUA and as a result don't have near as much. If you see youtubers with a ton of makeup its not a crazy thing because we need to be familiar with various shades, brands, formulas, etc so we can review and share with you guys what you should spend your money on. So short story long lol there's many reasons why I have so much. But also important to note that the normal person definitely doesn't need this much. Hope that helps and answers your questions. We have a group online and people from that group keep on asking me for dupe and all for various kind of lipsticks .It's just that these were Mac lipsticks , like many of them and ofcourse they cost you alot . I was just wondering but now I know why you did it . And I can completely relate . And one of the wisest thing you did was to sell them because they weren't even used much .Almost new.
So many.. its a shame they weren't actual lip swatches, lustres and cremesheens look so different on the lips rather than just skin, lip swatches really give them justice! But great swatch and info video nonetheless!
Why don’t you just try the ones that your getting rid of. I mean I know that some of them you don’t like but like come on. You can’t just get a lipstick and swatch it and not like it you gotta try it. It doesn’t hurt for you to try

I've watched it several times, she has it close up on her drawer like in this video, she swatches all of the lipsticks, and she has $10,000-$100,000 dollars worth of MAC lipsticks alone. She has all of the lipsticks from all of the limited edition collections I can think of, she's a great UA-camr!

She was probably thinking that she has WAY to many to use up. I think that instead of selling them she should have used back to Mac. She could have gotten 1 lipstick that she would of used for every 6 she was getting rid of.
+Alexandra Sirras but if she's getting $10 for each it makes much more sense. What you said would average out to $17 for one lipstick or the $60 she's selling them for. Plus she'd get more lipsticks she wouldn't use...
