- It's been more than a year now that we're living in these special times and despite the limitations in our daily life, it seems like time flew as fast as never before. The track I'm releasing today really took a tremendous amount of work and I combined many of the things that I was able to learn in the past year. I always hesitated to tackle "Tower of Trial" because of the unusual harmonies and compositional structure but it was about time to try it out ;).
So here's the result that I can't wait to share with you! Please enjoy this new cover and as always, let me know what you think of it in the comments!
The outstanding soundtrack of Terranigma was originally composed by Miyoko Kobayashi (Takaoka) and Masanori Hikichi.

One of the things I love about the original Trial track is that it's rather calm and mysterious, it encorporates the feeling of a dark dungeon you're climbing to release your friends.
This cover just threw the mysterious feel out the window while bulldozing the calm and gave it such an epic surge of power, it's no longer a tower, but an enemy infested nigh impenetrable fortress where the dark Overlord resides, ready to crunch your soul like a piece of dried up cereal. And those voices absolutely gave me freaking chills, I had goosebumps.
I'll take it that the journey through Terranigma isn't over and we'll be getting a few more amazing covers from you. Hope to get to hear Liem's Theme soon, it's one of my favorite tracks, as well as Lhasa, it tends to be forgotten easily.

Terranigma ist seit Ewigkeiten mein absolutes Lieblingsspiel und ich hab auch immer wieder nach Remakes oder Rearrangements gesucht, aber die sagten mir alle nicht so zu, aber du hast aus diesem genialen Ost etwas so unglaublich gutes gemacht. Man könnte diese Lieder so in einen Blockbuster packen. Vielen Dank für deine Arbeit und mach bitte weiter so.
Übrigens, könntest du als nächstes vielleicht Willfull lion oder Dark Gaia machen? Das wäre einfach zu geil :)

As a kid I was obsessed with this game and now 20+ years later I still kinda am. I love your interpretation of the soundtrack and hope you keep on releasing tracks! Buying the album was a no brainer :D Hope this track, New Waters and every song that might follow gets a release on amazon as well :)

I need a movie, Terranigma 2, A new game with similar atmosphere and only Roman is allowed to do the music for all of that. Idc how and idc why. It just has to happen. This man is a musical genius.
So sehr ich deine Terranigma Covers auch schätze (und glaube mir, ich LIEBE dieses Spiel, in meinen Augen das beste Spiel das jemals gemacht wurde), ich denke dein Talent wird erst dann Früchte tragen wenn du dich mit deinen Covers der breiten Masse öffnest. Also Dinge Coverst die nicht in so einer Niche stecken wie Terranigma.

Tolle Arbeit, da kommen schöne Erinnerungen auf. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass wenn jemand, der Terranigma noch nie vorher gespielt hat, diese Musik hört, wird er denken, das gehört zum Finalboss; und dabei ist es "nur" das erste Level.😅

Great cover ! I've never too much liked this title but I think it's because it represented the gates of evil to me as a child. You really added a piece of mystery and "dark strength", great job !
Durch Deine Arbeit bin ich echt zu sowas wie ein Fan von Dir geworden. Die schon damals starke Musik von Terranigma bekommt so ein Refit was Nintendo durchaus in Erwägung ziehen sollte, es zu nutzen sollte Terranigma mal neu veröffentlicht werden =D
Und für die Zukunft wünsche ich mir auch mehr vom Donkey Kong Country-Franchise zu SNES-Zeiten und von The Legend of Zelda =D

Final Fantasy 9 - The Tantarian. This cutesy little hidden Boss fight can be encountered 2 Times during the game but only one time is advised to do so as the other time you lack the strength and items to beat that enemy. This book knows the spell "Doom" which can end your party quicker than a storm of papercuts and oh wow - this thing delivcers those as well.
Another great one. Really good interpretation of the entrance music! Thank you so much for making these.

I was wondering, I think you've been using a choir more often in your later Terranigma covers. Is that because they fit better at your more recent creations, or have you been feeling more comfortable using them lately? Either way I think they're an awesome addition and really add to the whole orchestra feel!

Anyone know if any company is planning about remastering Terranigma?
I'd doubt it as Quintet no longer exists. Not sure who owns all the rights between Squeenix and Quintet. I wouldn't want to see it remastered anyways. Companies re-release stuff and always feel the need to change stupid things.
