It didn’t even seem like an interview, it just seemed like two friends having a fun conversation. This is why these two guys are legends in late night tv! Coco and Fergie 4 life!
Conan aged from early 2003 to mid 2003 after he had extensive plastic surgery on his face. Since 2003 Conan's neck has shrunk (it used to be much longer).
Two of my role models. The most quick witted men alive. Red pill pushers this is for you, there is no alpha or beta males, be kind and be intelligent and share interesting stories. Now spread the love. Peace.
@burteriksson because that's what Craig Ferguson use to do in his every interview. Both throwing away a blue card( with all the questions for celebrity) and awkward pause. I think what surprised me 2 years ago was the fact that this interview is filmed years before Craig got his own show. So the coincidence is surprising.
I miss & love Craig Ferguson. He is a talented author/writer, actor, comedian and also has written films. He is a powerhouse....but an oh so funny and inventive one. Just watch Doc Martin or Saving Grace...Craig Ferguson is involved in many successful projects.
Craig Ferguson is just EVERYTHING. BEST late night host ever... Miss you, Craig, Geoff, Secretariat, Sid the cussing bunny, Wavy the crockadillio and all the interns! 😭😭💕💕😁😁💕💕
Craig did have a show. He hosted the Late show for 10 yrs. It was fantastic, you should check out all the clips they have on youtube it is really funny! He was so great at it; everyone didn’t want him to quit he was so good at it!
The awkward silence only began when Conan looked at his notes on his desk. Craig NEVER needed his and truthfully, neither did Conan when he got good, yet he still relied on them, where as Craig didn't.
Love how Craig called Conan out at 1:50 on his plastic surgery that he had earlier in 2003 (on his face). They literally chiselled away at his jaw, chins and cheeks. It's extremely noticeable if you watch any of his interview from very early in 2003 and compare it to here.
@Don Corleone Thanks for your reply. You're right of course. My feeling though is that he's never been the same after getting evicted from the Tonight show. That rejoicing craziness, the bad and weird little boy humor he displayed on Late show with C.O'B. He obviously had to adapt to host the prime time Tonight show and did so as the consummate professional he is - and maybe his former madness that gave me joy would have resurfaced gradually, we'll never know. I surely admire him and am happy for him succeeding in building up an entire new show from scratch and really keeping his character and originality pretty much intact. But I weep for the Conan we knew. In the end, like with Craig, I should rather be happy that we had him at all. And I am ;-)
Okay, so this proves that Craig was always unconventional, always hilarious and unpredictable... Carson, Letterman, Coco Conan, and Ferguson, I swear, the best hosts on TV. Fallon, Corden, this is what we have now... Sad life, I wish we had known that we were in the good ol days, before we actually had them pass...
the guest should have his own show...
lol
Fergie was too witty for the dumb CBS audience
robert davis maybe the executive douchebags were dumb dumb ... the audience are fine
you're probably right, excuse me
robert davis And yet corden is killing it sadly. Craig chose to leave though.
The two best modern late night hosts together. They should have Craig back on more often.
The thing about Craig is, he makes everyone look better and feel like they are close friends. Greatest late night host EVAH!
fergs hair tho 😂
It didn’t even seem like an interview, it just seemed like two friends having a fun conversation. This is why these two guys are legends in late night tv! Coco and Fergie 4 life!
Not plugging the movie ... awkward silence.... Yep, it's Craig.
so accurate!
Aaannd the host gave up on using his interview notes and threw them away! :-)
Throwing the cards away. It’s so Craig
I read Craig's book, the making of I'll Be There was a miserable experience for him, so no wonder he didn't want to talk about it.
@@telectronix1368 Letterman did the same thing. He would throw the interview questions out the fake window behind him.
One of my ears enjoyed this video.
Lol.... I thought my headphones were busted😂😂
same
Mine's actually busted, so i was confused on this comment.😂
Hahaha ...I had just 1 earphone on...I thought it was an issue with the vid..then I saw ur comment
Lollll my headphones are broken so I didn’t notice.
Craig has aged 15 years and Conan like 2 🤣
Brandon Stanley Yeah, but Craig got way more attractive. He's like fine wine

That's what the red gays do
@@prabhnoor_ french fries pot.. (idk the spelling)
Conan looks like a freaky plastic mannequin now
We are watching the beginning of what is now universally known as "The Craig Interview".
Michael Caine and Sean Connery and awkward pauses even then!

6:36 the genesis of "the awkward pause"...
Craig was on the pinnacle of Late Show Host, no one exceeds him.
💯💯💯💯
he's up there. in my top 5. no one exceeding is a stretch
he is great though no doubt, perhaps even top 3
craig looks like a Beatle in this one
Or Howard Wolowitz.
He looks like a combination of Al Pacino in scarface and Noel Gallagher
It's the young Paul McCartney hairstyle
that is the best of all. two intelligent guys made it funny. thanks for upload
These have always been my favorite 2 late night show hosts
Holy shit. Awkward pause and Conon throwing away the blue card.
Chills, literal chills.
The awkward pause was Craig prompted but when he threw away the blue card unprompted I too absolutely got chills.
@burteriksson because that's what Craig Ferguson use to do in his every interview. Both throwing away a blue card( with all the questions for celebrity) and awkward pause. @@geekyhawk325 Coincidence isn't the right word, genesis is the right one.
OMG it's a baby Craig!
Nate River Watch Craig as Bing Hitler. He was really young. You can look it up on UA-cam also
The only two late night hosts who arw genuinely funny.
A Scot and (A 100 percent Irish) American
I miss & love Craig Ferguson. He is a talented author/writer, actor, comedian and also has written films. He is a powerhouse....but an oh so funny and inventive one. Just watch Doc Martin or Saving Grace...Craig Ferguson is involved in many successful projects.
Craig ferguson is just amazing
Craig Ferguson is just EVERYTHING. BEST late night host ever... Miss you, Craig, Geoff, Secretariat, Sid the cussing bunny, Wavy the crockadillio and all the interns! 😭😭💕💕😁😁💕💕
@8:14, Conan says it best, Craig is one of the best guests ever and... One of the best hosts ever, but Conan would find out later.
Modern day Conan would have gone in for that kiss...
This was really the start of modern day Conan.
There probably would have been tounge involved, too.
He might have gone in for that kiss by the end of that interview as well. :)
when he walks he seems so self conscious he should have a good Scottish swagger .he's still adorable 💜😙
What a legend Fergie, I really miss him man!
💯💯💯
"we just had an awkward silence"
Craig a baby 💙 and his hair 💙💙💙
The legend himself
Which one?
Oh my God Craig's hair.
The most beatles member
one of the best guests ever.... and one of the best _hosts_ ever. only one or two even close.
Good God, Conan is not aging 😱
Conan looks like he was born middle aged
6:42 Seeds of 'the awkward pause' planted in Craig's brain :o
6:41 did I just witness the origin of the awkward pause?
Craig Ferguson the high school years.
and the awkward silence was born this 9th of May, 2003. This whole interview was like a Ferguson interview, shortly before he took the late late show
Thanks for this. These two are Comedy Gold!
The hell is that haircut

1:49 Conan and Craig throwing in a little bit of the Interrupter there.
Not plugging the movie, improvising all the time, talking funny shit...How can you not love him? Craig too :D
The awkward silence only began when Conan looked at his notes on his desk. Craig NEVER needed his and truthfully, neither did Conan when he got good, yet he still relied on them, where as Craig didn't.
Letterman very seldom used the blue note cards, either.
The MAN Himself Craig Ferguson Master of Master's in the CBS Network
French Fried Potaters! 🤣
the differences in style and creativity were evident even then...
6:44 - AWKWARD SILENCE!!! Love that this is the first appearance of it.

"one of the best guest ever" -Conan
Oh yeah. And he's one of The Best Host for all things as well. Just let him free.
Seeing this video makes me feel old
6:40
The origin of the "awkward silence" 😳
This is where he got the awkward pauses from!
He kinda looks like hugh jackman! Especially if you mute and don’t hear the Scottish accent
Craig really outshined our ol boy Conan
brilliant conversation
@Don Corleone Thanks for your reply. You're right of course.

He's so funny!! Craig that is.
Conan was an iconic Late Night host, I miss him dearly.
They really, really killed him.
fedtho Conan’s still got a show though.
Conan never dies. Comedy geniuses like him never die.
He was one of the longest-serving late-night hosts of all-time!
wow, this one is amazing, two coolest comedian
It's a great day for America
so many stuff people would consider it offensive these days
one of the greatest segments ever!
Can someone count the number of times Craig picked up his mug and put it back down on the table
Lolz, Craig was hilarious even back then :D
I just had one earphone on an thought someone disabled the audio lol..
This interview was brilliant. Had me rolling
And to think, Craig would have guests choose to have an awkward pause at the end of the show, or play the mouth organ.
Is this where Craig's Late Late Show "awkward silence" bit came from?
Okay, so this proves that Craig was always unconventional, always hilarious and unpredictable... Carson, Letterman, Coco Conan, and Ferguson, I swear, the best hosts on TV.
Fallon, Corden, this is what we have now... Sad life, I wish we had known that we were in the good ol days, before we actually had them pass...
Letterman was a creep! I'm afraid
my right ear is sulking after this experience.
6:44 "awkward silence"??? A regular thing on Craig Ferguson's show. Does this precede the first episode of his show?
2/4/22, 11:35 p.m.
They should do a podcast together
I always got the feeling Conan wasn’t a big fan of craig, doesn’t necessarily hate him though
Arnie uses a speech therapist to keep his native accent while he lives in the US
He looks so young didn’t rec him
I didn’t know they were friends before Craig’s show
Do we have a picture of Paul McCartney?
There it is!
2003? This looks like fricking 1978
No it doesn't.
So that's where awkward silence comes from...

Glad Craig got dressed for the show
I think he's even outdone Gervais in the dressing down stakes.
😳😮 that hair
The Scotsman and the Celtic Tampon together again.
Great duo 👌🏽
lol @ the awkward silence @6:44.
Craig was furious that they changed the name of his movie to the inane “I’ll be There.” But I can’t remember his title
"I Wish I wasn't There For That Movie" probably would have been a good titls.
The first awkward pause!
6:32 Conan with a Craig "Noo"
Why does 2003 look like 1993?
Holy...this really happened.💔💔😭😎
good.. I could put my right airpod charging !
What is the music from the beginning from?
Craig's intro music is "Reach Out I'll Be There" by The Four Tops
You dont think there is anywhere to go from there? Well, just leave it to the master then, cause thats just when he begins.
The hair is real.
holy shit with all this hair he looks like ray romano
They are as Letterman used to say "Having more fun, than human's should be allowed"! Screw selling his movie ... This is more fun!
