Miners were tough back in the day...surviving in the desert and blowing holes in the rock to find the mothet lode...
Thanks for taking us along on your explorations.

The chukar would indicate water somewhere. Wildlife conservationists years ago built watering stations for desert birds and animals in areas like you were exploring.

Am surprised no rattlesnakes on the trail with that nice warm weather. Thanks, for the tour. Good luck.

I live in Texas, 75 miles east of Abilene. At 10:30 AM today our personal weather station showed 101°. Our high today was F 114° (C 45.5°). Our forecast is identical for the next 10 days at least.
    HELP!!!!!

I love watching your shows and I would hate to see you become dehydrated out there. Stay hydrated on the hot days.

Good to see what looks like a spring hatch of chukar. Careful near those springs and mines, rattlers love to seek shelter from the heat.

I own that first mining claim. The blue chair was for recuperating in the cool air of the mine after a 4 mile hike from my apartment. It got shredded by wildlife during the spring of 2023. I own other property in the area if you ever want to return to explore more.

Love your channel! Always have been enamored by the desert/southwest areas. Having lived in the Midwest this has sort of become part of my morning routine heh. I’m curious, do you ever camp overnight at any of the spots on your channel? Is that allowed? I can only imagine how beautiful these sites must be at night…

You keep refering to these as tunnels when in fact there is no other end to in. They should be called adits.
