And I’m just here with my bag of Sonic ice, that’s frozen solid, that I have to beat with a hammer when I want to get some.

Do the drain and shake method. Drain out all water by cutting off little bits from the edge of the bag when you get it home. Make sure it is tied tight at the top. Then set a 15 min timer and put the ice in the freezer. Take the ice bag out every 15 min and give it a good slam onto the counter and shake/massage the ice around. I usually do this 4 or 5 times and then separate it into 3 smaller freezer proof containers.
