I think the way he plays it, the passion he puts in his drumming is mostly what makes him truly inspirational. You can actually feel the emotions from this cover. That ,alone, is very hard to do. You are a very talented drummer.

@Derek Charette If you were to literally see any of his other videos with his cameraman, either he's a crazy good editor, or he's fricken amazing at drums. Look him up playing Everybody Hates Me by The Chainsmokers both the live and his drum cover of it, they pretty much are the same in how he plays.

I agree with bringing your cameraman back but theres a calming beauty about you being isolated with the cameras. Just you alone with the music and the music with you, together making this happen. Its tight

I’ve been playing for so long, started when I was 6, and I love when a drummer is soooo relaxed and effortless!!!! My first teacher gave me drum and guitar lessons he was a old 80’s Van Halen/Randy Rohdes style guy, but the first thing he taught me was to play what I loved and enjoy it so you are relaxed. And you my friend are completely in your element!!!! And look so happy and relaxed, great shit man!!!!’

Man. 1: I love this song. 2: I like how, and excuse me I'm wrong, you keep with/keep up with/follow, songs you obviously respect a lot and add more of your individual flare and colour to those songs you possibly find more pop (not to diminish them in any way). At the 5 min mark I felt a 'yeah, I did this justice and I'm rolling with it side by side now towards the end'.

I know that this kind of recording, with the different angles, transmit less felling than the single camera angle. But finally I can see clearly what does matt do and I can study it.

Dude... I wish people knew how difficult this drumming solo really is... It is a samba jazz blues mix vibe and keeping the timing straight on the groove during the whole song... that's the difference between a good drummer a great drummer. You my man, are probably the best drummer in the world right now. Hands down my favorite cover of yours. The technicality is insane.
