Totally new to the game, which has been a nightmare for me since I started playing in October however at that point the game has been so so 3.24.3 no very good and then IAE came and it was impossible for me to even log into the game. So just now I feel like I am getting started, hauling right now, buy I really want to get into salvage. I'm old and retired and this seems relaxing. So I have to learn everything I can about the vulture. Any help would be great as I just turn 67.
@@aso6437 Salvage is extremely relaxing. I have a lot of salvage stuff on my channel for you to look through including tutorials. Not much has changed in regards to how and controls. After 4.0 stabilize I plan to re do a full tutorial on it.

@@MrSlvr2000 The server was acting weird in general last night. CRU L1 station was a tresspassing zone while i was there, so it was probably just a server error on my side. Which is good because Salvage is my jam
It's been this way for a while, but I wanted to see if it's just me or everyone. When scraping in the Vulture and activating the manual gimbles on the scraper heads (I have a Tobii 5), ship controls for yaw and pitch are locked. Any idea why?
They must have increased it a little bit in the last 4.0 patch because I was salvaging around Yela using the Abrade 3 days ago and I was getting 5.2 SCU for the big panel and 2.1 for the triangle ones. Originally we used to get 10.6 SCU for the big panels but they had nerfed it fown by 50%.. So now they increased the panels by a little bit but they lowered the price of the RMC... Typical CIGreed getting people to grind away for hours on end for small profits. And the missions were working 3 days ago and I did 2 Arrow and 1 Antares missions to get the REP and get the better illegal missions. But now, you also now have to find the salvage wrecks from about 10km as the yellow marker disappears and then you need to salvage the entire thing for the mission to be considered completed. Easy enough to find using the scanner. You pay between $1000 to $5000 FEE for the Arrow missions and salvaging the Arrow gave me 0.7 SCU of RMC and a few bread crumbs of CM. So lets just say that missions are not lucrative at all. I stick to panels. I melted my Reclaimer when they nerfed the pi$$ out of salvaging and decided to only keep my Vulture. The operating cost and the tediousness of having to get all those containers out of the Reclaimer to the hangar was just not worth it and extremely time consuming. Exactly what CIG wants. To lower the revenue/per hour so it takes a lot of time to be able to afford to buy ships in game. Lets also consider that they also increased the price of various ships from between 50% & 701% of in game ships (most of them except maybe 5 useless ones which remained identical and the C8R that was slightly lowered). Small examples, the M2 increased by 464%, the A2 by 701% and the C2 by 283%. It's all about the grind and they also mess with the "no demand" so sometimes you have to plant yourself next to a trade monitor and wait 15 to 30 minutes to sell due to the lack of demand. A few times I had to stay for about an hour and wait for server resets in order to sell the entire content of my Reclaimer. They control the economy and not in a good way. Thanks for the video.
Nice that they have slavageing fixed ish. And being avke to sell. I have a lot to sell and couldnt earlier. Hipe they bring back the verified salvage missions back.
Love the vid ,been grinding bunkers only got 600k to go until I get my own vulture .. I have a question though.. I see you range yourself about 40-50m away from the plate.. if you get closer do you get a higher scu return .. also what do you think the average return is per hour in 4.0 ?
@@timjeffrey764 You can cram about 3 full loads in the vulture including the buffer. If you get good....easily a 500-700k per hour of not more.....just guessing. Never timed it. Panels are VERY easy to find right now.
@ thanks for the reply .. I was doing a lot of testing in eptu on salvaging with vulture and found I can only get 37scu in it, but was filling up and then taking to orison to sell (wasn’t that far away) but was taking about an hour so was only getting a return of about 400k per hour.. didn’t have my bud in eptu so didn’t have a hauler to hand .. so another question .. if I scrape , then transfer to his hauler .. then does that mean that it will be classed as stolen unless he puts to warehouse , recalls it up and I then send it down and sell it) when we have a decent amount ?? Sorry for all the questions , just love vulture and scraping .. can’t be a space marine all my life 😢👍
The closer you get to the panel the quicker it will scrape but won't yield any more material - as for the rmc being classified as stolen or not that would be a good question. You can get 40 scu per run in the Vulture but it's more time consuming considering you need to move containers around. Just stick with the 37 which will be more efficient. Above all else, relax and enjoy

I completely disagree. I don’t think it comes anywhere near 3.18, I’ve been able to play since 4.0 dropped. Yes there are bugs, but I’ve been doing hauling and bounty contracts along with salvaging panels and claimed ships. Sometimes the contracts bug out, and when they do I switch to salvaging. They aren't even close to good balance yet IMO, especially when salvage only produces two commodities.
Just don't store your ship with cargo in it unless you want to lose your shit.
