The most heartfelt episode leading up to the funniest line in the whole show, I love it.
‘Yer oot yer tits oan morphine’ 🤣
Back aff ya spooky bitch!
25:50. This is the ONLY part of this magnificent show i skip every single time I watch it. I lost my dad a year ago. I moved to the US 8 years ago and last time I saw my dad was when i was over in 2018. He died in 2019. I got a call saying he was gravely ill just as I was about to have a procedure done. About a week before I was due to go under I had planned to go to Scotland right after my procedure regardless of how much pain I was in. (A lot..) Few days before my procedure i was working at Home depot and got a call from management asking me to come to the back. I never suspected anything. I got back and saw my wife standing, i said "oh hello!!" and saw her face. Then it hit me. Tears start to well and i said "He's gone isn't he?" So we went home, I placed myself on FMLA, had my procedure and flew the very next day. When we got to Dundee my mum said "Jimmy this will kill you but dad said he's sorry he never got to say goodbye" That's why i can't watch that bit.
Powerful words. My dad passed last year due to dementia and diabetes. Much condolences to you and your family
Thats what I love about being Scottish. When someone needs, the community pulls together. I've lived all over the world and I came to the island where I live now to see my young brother for a week. Been here 22 years. Love it
In case you were wondering the "Greyfriars Bobby reference , was a Skye Terrier who became known in 19th-century Edinburgh for spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner until he died himself on 14 January 1872.", as always a great reaction, nearly lost your street cred.
and he was buried next to his owner
I can tell you were on the verge of shedding a wee tear, this show does that to me a lot, dont worry though, I won't tell anybody. 🤐😁
There are very few shows which make me really care about the characters but this is one of them. Another show is Only Fools And Horses.
Yeah he needs to do only fools and horses
That's Glasgow for you..we might be a bit rough around the edges but this city has a heart of gold ..proud Glaswegian here :)
I live just up the road from where that baby store used to be, it was in a place called Anniesland in Glasgow :). This was a fab episode, couldn't help but laugh when both jack and victor had the tea cosies on their head to drown out the noise of the baby. I always remember watching this for the first time and being shocked that they landed Jack in hospital.
"Lorraine" is ITV's daytime TV host ... she's been doing it in one form or another since 1993.
The US equivalent would be "Ellen"
I think you’ll be happy to know that now you have watched Still Game you are now an honorary Scotsman 😁🏴
Isn't it strange how things come full circle. When we are Babies we wear Nappies. When we are old and incontinent we wear nappies.
circle of life hehehe.
Here's a thing I recently noticed. Shameless (UK) was recently added to Netflix UK and here in Ireland. Series 1, their having a bit of trouble with the council and who should appear in two episodes, but ...Clive Russell himself, aka Big Innes!
Edit: The Director in the post-cred scene is Michael Hines director of Still Game. Also, his assistant looks like a cousin of mine. :D
fun fact: the director at the end in the credit scene is actually the director of the show
Up next, it's the 2007 Christmas Special which is called 'Plum Number'.
I wish Navid was in this episode. It would’ve been funny if Tam had tried to get Navid to give him free stuff from the shop, and Navid could’ve been like “Get it up ye, Tam!” 🤣
"Back off, you spooky bitch!"
Got to be one of the best lines of the show. I love it
YEESSS not even watched the clip yet but just having a night cap because I’m working nights, this has made my day
I think maybe my favourite episode. “Back aff ya spooky bitch!”
"Ill cry off camera" he says with his eyes filled with tears 😂😂
Also back aff ya spooky bitch is probably the most quoted in Scotland lol
i was not crying wind was strong in my room that day
@@bxkid7 yeah sure of course..... lol
Its fine to get emo during this episode thats the point haha
Really hope you find the next couple seasons and they aren't copyrighted im loving this seasons so much
You now have the 2 specials and hopefully you will react to the Live show before series 7, what you need to know is after the specials, the programme wasn't made for 7 years before they rejoined to make the live show, which sold out 21 nights at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, i think U2 even had to delay their Glasgow date to the following year due to the success of the show
Can't believe we are almost done with the original Still Game.
The S6 Hogmanay special is a great episode to end with.
One of my fave Still Game eps.
What a journey this had been Kid, I hope you are able to continue with S7 and beyond
there was a xmas and a hogmanany special that year
Still game goes upto series 9 I think.
You think that was emotional, wait until you get to the last one.
Tam is like a bit of mould he grows on you I can remember kid not being a big tam fan at the start of still game but look at him now loving tam I was the same I didn't like Tam now I love him especially since I've seen the whole seasons about 100 times it just gets better the more you watch it
even stevie grows on ya after a while
If that made you emotional I can't wait for you to see the last ever episode.
Hey Kid, that really got me too at the end!.... Fantastic Episode, great ending.
If you can watch still game live at the hydro this was the comeback after they had a falling out for a number of years but carried on from when they last left of from TV series till the newest series.
Jesus Kid !! You had Jack as a piss-taker when he collapsed ! whit you like lol ! Great reaction mate...I had tears but no one was about , so.....
no one sees it. it doesn't count your good lad. hahaha i just had the fans on high today something got near my eye lol
Great episode great reaction i remember watching this one for the 1st time nearly crying thinking jack was kicking the bucket haha keep it up bro
thank you fam for this and for showing up today on twitch meant the world to me bro!
Glad to see your uploads, it's been a difficult day and these always cheer me up!
To me this is IMO the true ending of Still Game. The others after this weren't as good.
That all said, great work for watching all of the episodes. Been such a treat seeing your reaction! :)
yeah thats definitely a valid opinion for sure. i def still want to see the episodes tho so i can see how i feel about them :) thank you for watching thats means the world lad.
This is an amazing programme. Work your way thru but I can guarantee you will cry at the last one.
Have already seen the whole series a while back check the playlists section if you want. 2 pints 🍻
P.s I absolutely loved this show.
all im gonna say without spoilers is that you are gonna well up when you watch the last episode it got even the toughest of folk
This one had me in tears. I thought we were going to lose Jack. Thankfully he came through. 27:10 'Back off you spooky bitch!'
I enjoy this journey of watching your reactions.
Wait until you watch series 9 of Still Game.
The very last episode is called 'Over The Hill', because that's the last of the Still Game cast and crew that us audience will see! 😔😌😔
You really enjoyed that one , thought you were going to break mate😭
Next episodes are a Christmas and New Year Special
Christmas Episode is called "Plum Number"
New Year episode is called "Hootenanny"
Then after that? It is Live at the hydro
Then it is series 7, 8 and 9 (I don't know how you are going to be able watch series 7, 8 and 9 as they are not on UA-cam)
If you do find them and watch them?
I suggest after series 9? You could do the 1999 stage play, that's plenty, Still Game the story so far, Eggheads with the Still Game cast, the 2 charity skits that they did, Still Game behind the scenes (This was included on the series 4 dvd) You can find all these on UA-cam if they are still up.
The director who appears at the very end of the show is the actual director of all the series.
@Midnight Toker On the DVD series 1-5 box set there is an extras section which shows the cast getting makeup and behind the scenes as they are shooting. It is also on You tube under 'Still game: Behind the scenes'. Michael Hines, the producer, introduces himself.
What is your favorite series of Still Game so far?
It hard to choose a favorite series I think choosing a best takes away from each series as I feel each episode brings something to the table. There is something to be said about the majority of the episode and to nail a favorite is tough they all up until this point have been fantastic wont be able to choose lol.
Back aff ya spooky bitch. Probs the most iconic line in the entire series. 😂
what a beautiful line hahah
Hopefully you’ll continue with season 7-9🤞
Those will be copyrighted bro since there recent episodes
Plus their shite anyway
@Midnight Toker gees a rubber and ill rub it out and do it again mr teacher 😂
@@benjordan9897 they arent shite. They're just not as good as the show in its peak.
Not a spoiler - but certainly a teaser - as you plough through still game, I can't wait until you meet Mr. Sheathing :)
Remember after this you have 2 special's to watch first Christmas special plum number and then Hogmanay special hootnanny
Have you watched all the Christmas & New Year specials which are all brilliant?
'Cold Turkey', 'The Party', 'Plum Number' & 'Hootenanny'?
we have watched cold turkey and the party. high encourage looking into the playlists we have.
@@bxkid7 Make sure you watch 'Plum Number' & 'Hootenanny' before Series 7
Congrats on 3k subs. I'll bet this show and your genuine love of the characters helped you get there. Keep it up! Looking forward already to still game sunday. Keep your kleenex handy just in case 😭. As I've mentioned before i'd watch you react to these all over again. P&L boi.
Loved your reaction, I nearly cried too,
If you like the community feel of Still Game I would definitely recommend Only Fools and Horses. English not Scottish comedy though. Also, check out One Foot in the Grave. It's was one of the first dark comedies out of the UK. This one features older actors as well. Anyway, really enjoying your videos mate.
Remember to look out for the Christmas specials, sometimes you have to look for them elsewhere 😊 it’s a good one next
The director of the baby advert is series director Michael Hines
Really love your reactions man, your looking younger after that beard trim brother-take it easy
hahahah thank you fam! needed a fresh start lol my facial hair has a mind of its own hahaha
What a brilliant show.. Great channel.
thank you! amazing show indeed :)
I was only in that Mothercare in Anniesland once sadly. Tam is an utter fudtube!
Remember to react to hootenanny one of my favourite episodes of still game
i will.
Glad to see youve had a baird grooming you were starting tae look like Pete the Jakey! ;)
hahahahaha
Back again , enjoy mate 👍
can i just say , it has been mentioned here that the series 7-9 are not as good..well i thoroughly enjoyed them and there is still a lot you will laugh about, and at the end, maybe some tears, so just sit back and enjoy.
@Cdman77 I loved 7-9 too, still can't bring myself to watch the last episode though 🙈
They tried to make it solely a comedy show from 7-9...the original 6 series were based on life in Scotland as pensioners and it had an emotional connection which you could relate too. They never really had that in the new series if any.
Series 8 episode south Africa in the caravan was like a classic episode so funny.
''Back aff ya spooky bitch!'
It's not crying if it's liquid pride :P
Calm down Shining Armor... 🤣
Don't listen to the people saying that still game goes down hill from here I like 7_9 season's of still game don't forget the Xmas special and the live show before season 7 that's how it was the live show sold that many tickets u2 had to wait a week before they could perform and that's when they realised people were still thirsty for the show and that's when they committed to do the show again
The new episodes were made to show on the English TV, and are not as good, although still funny
I just think it's a case of a show running its course. It's natural for a show the longer it runs for the quality to decline. Saying that though even the newest episodes are still good, its just you compare them to the show at its peak. It's nothing to do with it being shown on English channels.
@@Matt19matt19 i liked the new sheeving character methadone mick became stale pretty quick
You would have more credibility if you stopped wiping those tears!!!this show is emotional and it’s supposed to be.. embrace it Kid
Your all heart dude
Hey kid loved watching the video it actually reminded me of the time my grandfather had his bypass operation he died 3 times on the table but the doctors were determined to keep him alive and he got through it. We lost him to cancer a few years ago, fortunately he didn't suffer too much.
This episode easily pulls on the heart a bit i hear you on this fam. Sorry for the loss fam.
@@bxkid7 Thanks man I appreciate it
Even if you cant post them get a vpn and download bbc iplayer so you can watch series 7, 8 and 9. If it's not available on youtube.
good reaction kid, now onto 2 holiday specials now before season 7! did u nearly start crying there? haha x
I did 😬
im not crying your crying!
@@lorrainequinn yeah lorraine was crying not me LOL
@@bxkid7 liar, haha x
@@bxkid7 😂 xx
if you think you would cry if jack or victor dird at this point then look up and watch the still game final scene
Have seen ever single episode of still game :)
@@bxkid7 ive seen all of them, the live shows and the specials... during the first 2 or 3 seasons I lived on the 4th floor of the highrise that jack and victor are supposed to live at.. the first 6 sesons were reorded 15-20 years ago where as the final 2 seasons were only filmed within the last 5 years, spoiler alert, theyre not as funny as the first 6, no one dies but the ending is quite emotionsl once you re attched to the charchters (just heads up on it before you do the live reaction..... you should check out the sketch show tht jck nd victor came from, chewin the fat
Chewin the fat is in the playlists
Can't believe Tam was making 2500£/3000$ a week on those cans, jesus.
ahh I was waiting for this
This is the most emotional episode of the series and this is where they should’ve ended the show
Na then we'd never get the episode 'gadgets'
Pawn Almond fully agree
S1-6 are the original show, as after the xmas and new year episodes there's a massive ten year gap before S7. The remaining series were given a prime time slot for a broader UK wide audience, and it ended up feeling like a different show as a result, much slower paced
I watch Lorraine Kelly most mornings.
💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
BACK AFF YA SPOOKY BITCH! Remember to do the hogamany special aswell. Seasons 7, 8 and 9 aren't available on youtube as far as i'm aware, but you can find the on dailymotion i think. Also, what's happened to the beard?
Haha If Jack or Victor had died you wouldn't have had to worry about crying off camera! Half your audience wouldn't have noticed through their own tears!
Will u be doing series 7 and8?
Perfectly acceptable for you to cry on camera... unless it's all blubber and snot bubbles haha.
no one wants to see the snot hahahaha
bxkid7 coughs... uh oh
Not gonna lie, this episode made me a bit emosh!!!
HAHAH sending u virtual hugs
@@bxkid7 Aww right back at you Kid🙆♀️
23:15 #ItsOkNotToBeOk
I know loads of mums over 64 lol.
Great video u doing s7-s9 of still game ?
i will be doing every single piece of content for still game i can find :) so hell yes
@@bxkid7gald to to here it been watching since the first episode of still game 😊
The director who appears at the very end of the show is the actual director of all the series.
All the rest of the episodes are downhill from here, well in my opinion anyway.
I agree. But that doesnt mean they're bad. It's just that the show was that good at its peak. If you compare series 7 to 9 to 1 to 6 then yeah it goes downhill. But they're still good. Methadone mick was an awful character who replaces Pete the jakey who was written out of it because he died in real life I think. Well I know he died but not sure if thats why he was written out of it and the timings etc.
@@Matt19matt19 Agree Methadone Mick was the moment I turned myself off from series 7 onwards, just too daft & fake a character, couldn't compare him to anyone in real life.
The one where they have the dogs & the one where they think that guy with long hair is the grim reaper were decent.
See the fact they're in HD too, also made it strange to watch compared to the original series.
